Chapter 49 - Chapter 48

Looks like I messed chapters again sorry guy I'll compensate y'all :D

Pakunoda sensed the same kind of drive and determination in Morin that she had once felt in Chrollo back in Meteor City.

Though their goals might differ, both of them poured their entire being into pursuing their respective objectives. Every step forward was taken with complete focus and dedication.

And it was often during these moments—when a man devoted himself wholeheartedly to something—that he became most captivating.

Pakunoda had originally been drawn to Chrollo's magnetic personality, which had led her and Feitan to join his small group.

And now...

She glanced at Morin, who seemed to radiate the same kind of brilliance, his eyes filled with a glowing light.

Another person had begun to capture her attention.

A few minutes later—

Whoosh!

The faint sound of wind and the creaking of the door echoed.

When Pakunoda and Morin looked over, they saw Biscuit strolling back into the tavern.

Judging by the uncontrollable glee on her face, she had clearly gained something valuable.

"Who would've thought that gem had accidentally fallen out of the ruins and was mistaken by a local as an ordinary rock? They even used it to prop up a bench! Such a waste of a treasure!"

Biscuit laughed joyfully. "But in the end, it's mine now! Luckily, the gemstone wasn't damaged at all!"

Her eyes sparkled as they landed on Morin—or more specifically, the Treasure-Seeking Paper in his hands.

"If I had this, I could find every precious gem in the world! And maybe even limited-edition magazines featuring gorgeous men... hohoho!"

Even though Morin couldn't read Biscuit's mind, her expression left no doubt that her thoughts had strayed into dangerous territory.

"Ahem!"

As if sensing the awkward silence, Biscuit coughed lightly to regain her composure, straightening her posture to appear more serious.

"This tool of yours is quite impressive!" she remarked. "Is this your Nen ability? Are you a Conjurer?"

"More or less," Morin replied. "I'm a mix of Conjuration and Specialization."

He then briefly explained the results of his Water Divination test.

"I see," Biscuit said with understanding. "That means you're primarily a Specialist, but your abilities lean heavily toward Conjuration."

Using her extensive experience, she elaborated:

"Some Specialists' Nen abilities touch on multiple categories, which can result in their Water Divination showing traits of other types as well."

"In your case, your base category is Specialization, but the abilities you develop and utilize are primarily in the realm of Conjuration."

"If the abilities you develop don't align well with your natural category, their power can be significantly weakened and even wasted."

She brought up a classic example:

"Take Kastro, for instance. He's an Enhancer, yet he developed a Conjuration and Manipulation ability called Double." TL:(Kastro doesn't even know Nen around this time, it doesn't make sense)

"Hisoka once called it a 'waste of potential,' and he wasn't wrong. If Kastro had combined his Enhancement abilities with his ultimate move, Tiger Bite True Fist, his Nen would've been far stronger."

"But alas..."

Pakunoda interjected with a question: "If someone has already awakened their Nen abilities, is it still so important to know their category?"

"It's absolutely important!" Biscuit answered firmly.

"Even after mastering Nen, knowing your category is critical. For instance, imagine a Nen user who develops a Nen ability specifically designed to counter Specialists. This demonstrates just how vital it is to understand your own type."

She then turned back to Morin.

"I've seen many Specialists, but few combine their abilities with Conjuration the way you do. And using Conjuration to create something like Treasure-Seeking Paper for exploration is incredibly rare."

"While this tool is practical for someone like me, its utility in combat might be limited."

"If you were an adventurer focused on exploration and treasure hunting, this ability would suit you perfectly. But from my observations, you don't prioritize adventure above all else."

"I don't," Morin admitted. "For me, growing stronger and surviving in battle comes first. Adventure is a distant second."

"Then this ability doesn't seem to align well with your goals," Biscuit remarked regretfully.

"Not necessarily," Morin countered. "I believe my abilities are also quite effective in combat."

"Oh?" Biscuit raised an eyebrow and glanced at the Treasure-Seeking Paper in his hand.

"Can it reveal an enemy's weaknesses? In battle, you won't have the time to sit around burning paper and solving riddles."

Morin chuckled and shook his head. "I think you misunderstand. My ability isn't limited to this one small piece of Treasure-Seeking Paper."

"Is that so?" Biscuit's interest was piqued. "Then what is it?"

Whoosh!

One by one, tools appeared in front of Biscuit: the Gourmet Tablecloth, the Door Sticker, the Cuckoo Egg, the Strength Pickaxe, and more.

"As you can see, I'm a Toolmaker skilled in creating and using tools," Morin said with a clever smile.

"Carrying all these tools with me is entirely reasonable, don't you think?"
