Soon, Mrs. Padiff placed two cups of cappuccino on the table in front of Lynn and Irina. The surface of the fragrant milk foam was decorated with a heart-shaped cocoa powder design.
Irina lifted her cup as if to hide her embarrassment and took a small sip.
Seeing Irina drinking cappuccino with her head down, Lynn's eyes softened.
The warm sunlight streamed through the nearby window, casting a glow on the girl's long snow-white hair, and her intelligent ice-blue eyes added warmth to the small tea house.
"How I wish time could freeze at this moment forever..." Lynn murmured softly. He lowered his head and gazed at the cocoa powder heart pattern in his cup, unable to bring himself to destroy it for a moment.
His dark red eyes, as faint as candlelight, seemed to shine more brightly at that moment.
"What are you talking about?" Irina didn't clearly hear Lynn's murmur. She tilted her head cutely. "Why aren't you drinking? Is it because your cold jokes are preventing you from looking directly at the cappuccino? Are you okay?"
Seeing this, Lynn couldn't help but smile gently. He reached out and tousled Irina's hair before taking a satisfied sip of his cappuccino.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Irina exclaimed, quickly covering her hair and smoothing it back. "I'll get mad if you do that again!"
Lynn joked, "Irina, do you know which animal is the quietest when it's angry?"
Irina felt a bit confused at the sudden question. She shook her head sincerely. "What? I don't know."
Lynn spread his hands and said, "It's a gorilla!"
Irina was even more puzzled. She unconsciously touched her chin. "Why? You're not thinking of me, are you?"
Lynn made a gesture of pounding his chest with both fists and then said seriously, "Because when a gorilla gets angry, it silently (hits) its chest!"
Whistle...
Irina's teeth chattered, and she felt that the clothes she was wearing were still too thin.
"You can kill me..." Irina lay back down on the table, looking helpless.
"Don't worry," Lynn leaned forward. "I'll give you something good!"
"What good?" Irina immediately straightened up, full of energy.
Lynn pulled a worn-out Potions textbook from his pocket and handed it to Irina.
"This book belongs to the Half-Blood Prince..." Irina saw the words on the bottom of the back cover. She read them unconsciously and then showed a surprised expression on her face. "It's Professor Snape's textbook. He was a student!"
Lynn nodded with a smile. "Yes, I found this in the advanced Potions class last week. I've learned all the spells it contains, so I'll leave this book with you. It just so happens that your Potions class is your weakness. You can use it to compensate for your knowledge of Potions!"
Last year, during the final exam, Lynn noticed that Irina's grades in Potions weren't particularly good, just as he wasn't good at Herbology. Therefore, since he was able to score the highest in Potions, he naturally decided to give this book to Irina, who needed it more.
"Alright!" Irina's cute face broke into a smile. "I'll help you with Herbology lessons in the future. I remember your grades in Herbology weren't particularly great."
Irina had received help from Lynn many times last year, so she unconsciously paid attention to his results when the final grades were announced.
Lynn smiled and nodded.
Soon, their cappuccinos were finished, and Lynn stood up to pay the bill.
After leaving Mrs. Padiff's teahouse, Lynn and Irina walked toward the secret passage.
On the streets of Hogsmeade, Lynn and Irina ended up holding hands involuntarily.
From a distance, their backs looked no different from the lovers of Hogsmeade.
...
By the time they returned to Hogwarts Castle, the sun was nearly setting.
Irina smiled and bid Lynn farewell before heading back to the Gryffindor common room. After thinking for a while, Lynn walked toward the headmaster's office.
Two weeks had passed since the basilisk incident, and he hadn't seen Dumbledore since he was discharged from the hospital.
Soon, Lynn arrived at the headmaster's office.
Looking at the stone statue guarding the door, Lynn took out the long list from his pocket again, preparing to read it one by one, as he had done the last time.
However, before he could speak, the stone statue moved aside on its own.
"Lynn, what do you want from me?" Dumbledore greeted, smiling warmly as he appeared on the steps leading to the headmaster's office.
Lynn nodded slightly and said, "Yes, Professor."
Dumbledore gestured for Lynn to follow him.
Lynn followed him down the spiral staircase into the headmaster's office.
It was night, and in the portraits on the wall of the office, past headmasters were still awake. They looked curiously at Lynn, the little wizard who had arrived in the headmaster's office.
"What would you like to drink?"
Dumbledore waved his wand, and a porcelain cup appeared in front of Lynn.
Lynn quietly said, "Just warm water, Professor."
He wanted the strong aroma of the cappuccino to linger on his taste buds longer, rather than letting another drink interfere with the flavor.
Dumbledore tapped Lynn's porcelain cup with his wand, and steaming water filled it.
Lynn sat in front of the headmaster's desk. He noticed that the Sorting Hat, which he had left in the Slytherin Chamber, was now safely placed on the table. The silver sword with ruby inlays was also lying on the other side of the table.
"After you told me about the Chamber of Slytherin, I went there myself and brought them back," Dumbledore said with a smile, noticing Lynn's gaze.
Lynn nodded, and then a question occurred to him, and he asked, "By the way, Professor, does this mean that if you can draw the Sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat, it's not about pulling the Sword of Gryffindor out of the Hat based on who the sword's true wielder is, but depends on the wishes of the Sorting Hat?"
Dumbledore shook his head slightly and said, "No, Lynn, the Sorting Hat is Godric Gryffindor's hat, one of the founders of Hogwarts. It was inspired by Gryffindor himself. Restricted by the rules, even if the Sorting Hat wants to, it can never allow anyone other than the true Gryffindor to pull the Sword of Gryffindor."
Lynn was a little confused. "But that day, I threatened the Sorting Hat with fire and successfully drew the Sword of Gryffindor! Professor, I'm obviously a Slytherin..."
Before Lynn could finish speaking, Dumbledore interrupted him with a smile. "If you could draw the Sword of Gryffindor, it means you are a true Gryffindor, or in other words, at that moment when you drew the sword, you displayed the wonderful qualities of a Gryffindor."
