Chapter 142 - Don't worry, I'm here

Destroying Voldemort's Horcruxes is indeed the key to defeating him. From this perspective, Hendry's supposed weapon to defeat Voldemort is most likely one of his Horcruxes.

And the place where Regulus Black took Hendry could be where Voldemort's Horcruxes are stored!

Thinking of this, Dumbledore suddenly broke out in a cold sweat. It seemed he had just noticed some crucial information.

"Voldemort has more than one Horcrux, as you have probably guessed."

At that moment, Lynn spoke calmly, snapping Dumbledore out of his random thoughts.

Dumbledore looked deeply at Lynn, not expecting a third-year wizard like him to analyze so many useful things from such scant clues.

Dumbledore sighed inwardly—perhaps he was getting old.

"Professor, I hope you can investigate the truth behind my father's death. Maybe the key to defeating Voldemort is hidden there."

Lynn looked at Dumbledore seriously and pleaded.

Dumbledore nodded slightly, gazing at Lynn with complex eyes. "I will, Lynn."

"But now, it's time for you to rest..."

Dumbledore leaned down and gently stroked Lynn's bloodstained black hair, appearing like a kind elderly man.

After receiving Dumbledore's promise, Lynn had accomplished his goal.

He could no longer suppress the overwhelming fatigue that washed over him. His eyelids grew heavier, and just before he closed them, he lost consciousness.

After Lynn fell unconscious, Dumbledore stood up and looked at him with a complicated expression.

"Please, Fawkes."

Dumbledore spoke softly.

Fawkes let out a clear cry, flew off Dumbledore's shoulder, and approached Lynn.

Fawkes' eyes misted, and soon, crystal-like tears fell from the phoenix's eyes, landing in Lynn's mouth.

After about ten tears had fallen into Lynn's mouth, Fawkes flew back to Dumbledore's shoulder.

As the most powerful wizard of this century, often called the White Devil, how could Dumbledore not see Lynn's condition at this moment?

The moment he entered the hospital wing and saw Lynn, Dumbledore was certain that Lynn had used the Philosopher's Stone's power. To his eyes, Lynn's body was like a candle in the wind, destroyed long ago by the magical energy, riddled with holes.

Even if such a severe injury were sent to St. Mungo's for treatment, it might never heal completely.

If it wasn't treated, even if Lynn could recover in the future, his magical foundation would likely be severely damaged.

In this case, his magical talent would be greatly reduced, and he would become a mediocre wizard. In the worst case, he could lose his magical abilities entirely and become a squib, despised in the magical world.

Perhaps, based on Lynn's own resistance, the best he could do would be to slow the decline of his magic, and his magical power would no longer grow for the rest of his life.

But Dumbledore wasn't willing to let a good young man who had dedicated himself to Hogwarts end up like this. Since Phoenix Tears, which could heal Lynn's wounds, were within his reach, he would naturally help Lynn recover.

Soon, the Phoenix Tears began to take effect.

Lynn's skin wounds healed rapidly, his pale complexion gradually turned rosy, and his broken right arm, which had been ravaged by the excessive magical power of the Philosopher's Stone, was slowly healing.

Lynn, who had originally been the most severely injured of the three, was now the least injured with the help of the Phoenix Tears.

A soft snore was heard, and Lynn seemed to fall into a peaceful sleep.

Dumbledore waved his wand gently, and Lynn's body floated, then gently landed in the bed next to Irina's.

After doing this, Dumbledore found Madame Pomfrey and asked her to help treat Lynn before leaving.

...

"Well... well..."

Time passed, and Irina groaned, slowly opening her ice-blue eyes.

Though the trauma from the Cruciatus Curse had been healed, her muscles still trembled as she tried to sit up.

"You're awake?"

A soft voice reached her ears. Irina turned her head and saw Lynn sitting in the hospital bed, holding a book in his hand and smiling at her.

After clearly seeing her surroundings, Irina understood that Lynn had succeeded. He had killed the basilisk, destroyed the diary, and gotten her out of the secret room.

Irina awkwardly turned her body and asked softly, "How long have I been sleeping?"

Lynn reached out and gently stroked Irina's tangled hair. "Five days have passed. Today is Saturday, so I think Harry and the others will come to visit you soon."

Lynn had woken up just the day after the coma. Upon waking, he discovered that his body was in much better condition than before the coma.

He was very aware of his physical condition before the coma, so he also knew what Dumbledore had done for him.

Phoenix Tears?

After waking up, Lynn murmured to himself, realizing he had judged the intentions of a knight with the heart of a villain.

As the guardian of Hogwarts, Dumbledore would protect any young wizard studying at Hogwarts, rather than risking the lives of students for a prophecy, as Lynn had initially imagined.

Though Lynn had largely recovered after waking, Madame Pomfrey was still very concerned about his blood-covered appearance the previous night, so she asked him to stay in the hospital for a week of observation.

Lynn then asked his friend Irwin Foley, a Slytherin in the same grade, who had been visiting him and was his companion for all Potions classes, to help him bring his alchemy books from the dormitory so he could pass the time in the hospital wing by studying.

Thus, Saturday arrived, the day Irina woke up.

As for Ginny Weasley, she left the hospital the morning after her arrival. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley also arrived at Hogwarts Castle that same morning.

At that time, Harry went to Dumbledore's office and planned to ask about Irina. After seeing the destroyed diary that Dumbledore had brought from the Chamber of Secrets, Harry immediately identified the diary as the one Lucius Malfoy had placed in Ginny's cauldron.

After hearing Harry's testimony, the Weasleys wanted to curse Lucius on the spot. Fortunately, Dumbledore stopped them in time, preventing them from doing something foolish.

Unfortunately, at that moment, there was only Harry's version of the story, and no solid evidence, so they had no choice but to let Lucius go.

However, after seeing Gale release Dobby from Malfoy Manor and return with Lucius, Harry had an idea. He put his stinky socks in the diary to trick Lucius. Lucius threw them away and was caught by Dobby, which allowed Dobby to regain his freedom.

"So that's what happened... well..."

After hearing from Lynn about what had happened in the castle during the past few days while he was unconscious, Irina nodded slightly and rubbed her sleepy eyes.

"If you're still tired, sleep a bit more," Lynn said softly, his eyes full of gentleness. "Don't worry, I'm here."

Under Lynn's gaze, Irina couldn't resist the sleepiness and drifted back into a deep slumber.
