Chapter 127 - Lynn, Let's Raise It Together

After eating and drinking, Lynn and Irina wandered around Diagon Alley.

At that moment, Irina stopped in front of a shop.

"Hello Owl Shop? Do you want to buy an owl?" Irina read the name of the shop and then looked at Lynn with suspicion.

When Lynn first arrived at Diagon Alley to buy educational materials, he had seen this shop selling owls, but he didn't think it was necessary to spend money on buying his own owl, so he never went in.

Irina had the same thought at that time.

She thought for a moment and said, "I didn't think it was necessary to buy one before, but now that I know I have the ability to befriend magical creatures, I want to buy my own owl. After all, an owl can only obey me." The owl could play an additional role."

"Then let's go in and take a look," Lynn said happily.

Anyway, they were just out for a walk to relax, so it didn't matter where they went.

The two entered Eela Owl Shop.

This Eela Owl Shop was relatively large in scale, and there was even a stretching charm cast inside the shop. The interior was about half the size of the flower and bird market in Lynn's previous life.

However, unlike the Magical Zoo, which sold all kinds of magical creatures, Eela Owl Shop only sold various species of owls.

"Is there something you two want? Or may I assist you?" A shop assistant greeted them as they entered.

In large shops like this, there were usually assistants to guide wizards in purchasing the products they wanted.

Suddenly, Irina stopped in front of an owl that was completely white but had gray tips.

This owl had the beautiful feathers of a snow owl, but its size was as small as a horned owl. There was a small patch of gray-black hair in a diamond shape above the owl's left eye.

For some reason, when she saw this little owl, Irina unconsciously thought of a floating white spirit from a game she had played in her previous life.

"This owl…" Irina spoke unconsciously.

The shop assistant looked over and, seeing the owl, quickly said, "I'm sorry, madam. This owl hasn't been taken care of by the responsible staff in our store, and a snow owl accidentally mated with a horned owl, resulting in a hybrid. We will keep it here temporarily and dispose of it in a few days."

In the wizarding world, the concept of bloodlines among wizards was still quite popular, so wizards often valued bloodlines whether they were buying pets or in other matters.

Because of this, when the assistant saw the owl in front of Irina, they mistakenly thought that Irina wasn't satisfied with the hybrid creature being sold.

Upon hearing this, Irina was stunned and then explained, "You didn't understand. I want to ask, how much does it cost to take this owl with me?"

Upon hearing Irina's words, the shop assistant was also surprised.

The assistant did not expect that Irina planned to buy this hybrid owl.

"If you want it, take it for fifteen silver sickles," the assistant said.

Originally, a purebred owl cost at least a dozen galleons, but this hybrid owl couldn't even be sold in the shop and would be harder to get rid of.

Now that Irina wanted to buy it, the assistant naturally planned to do her a favor and get it for a cheaper price.

As for whether the owner of Eela Owl Shop would agree, the assistant wasn't worried. The hybrid owls in the shop had no value, and if they could be sold, it was already a win for the shop.

Irina nodded, counted fifteen silver sickles from her pocket, and handed them to the assistant.

When the assistant helped Irina put the owl in a cage, Irina looked at Lynn with a smile and said cheerfully, "Lynn, shall we raise it together?"

Hearing this, Lynn was a little surprised. "Huh? Raise it together?"

Irina smiled sweetly and said, "Yes, you don't have an owl either, so let's buy one together and raise it together! We can also use it to deliver letters together in the future."

Seeing Irina's beautiful face full of smiles, Lynn was stunned. Then he nodded and said, "Alright, our class schedules are different, so I can feed it while you're in class."

After reducing the workload from many of his third-year classes, Lynn had a lot of free time. Among other things, he could still feed the little owl.

Irina nodded happily and then asked, "That's right! By the way, what shall we name it?"

Lynn looked at the small owl, a fluffy ball in the cage that the assistant handed over. He reached into the cage, touched its head, and said, "You decide."

Irina thought for a moment and decided to give it the name she had thought of before: "Then let's call it Emergency Food!"

Hearing Irina's words, Lynn looked at her in surprise. "So you're playing around too…"

At that moment, the shop assistant, who was standing nearby, overheard their conversation and couldn't help but say, "Miss, the owl is the best friend of our wizard, not food."

Irina replied awkwardly, "Ahem, the name is just a name!"

The two left Eela Owl Shop with the Emergency Food owl, which had been purchased for fifteen silver sickles. After they reached the street, Irina opened the cage door and released Emergency Food.

The little fluffy ball was obedient, and after flying out of the cage, it perched obediently on Irina's shoulder.

"I don't know why, but calling this little ball of fluff 'Emergency Food' sounds a little ridiculous, but somehow it seems fitting," Lynn said sincerely, looking at the small tuft of gray-black hair in a diamond shape above the owl's left eye.

After buying Emergency Food, the sun was nearly setting.

Lynn and Irina didn't continue shopping but headed back to the Rohr Castle.

They planned to stay at Rohr Castle for two more days before returning early to Hogwarts.

During these two days, Lynn took Irina to visit the Rohr Mansion, and Irina felt quite envious of the huge mansion.

You know, Rohr Manor was probably bigger than the university in Irina's previous life!

After two pleasant days of vacation, Lynn and Irina took the train back to Hogwarts.

As for the little owl, Lynn let it fly to Hogwarts Castle on its own in order to deliver a package.

After learning of this incident, Irina even said something a little irritating to Lynn.
