Chapter 119 - Room of Requests

Dumbledore was very efficient. When Lynn woke up in his dormitory the next day, he discovered that the house-elves at Hogwarts had placed the materials he needed beside his bed.

"Is this old man really trying to squeeze everything out of me just because today is Sunday and I don't have to go to class?"

Lynn picked up the materials with a sardonic smile.

After having refined the alchemical glasses once before, Lynn was able to do so much faster this time. By lunchtime, he had completed three pairs of the alchemical glasses.

In the afternoon, he finished the last two pairs and delivered them to Professor McGonagall, Professor Snape, Professor Flitwick, Professor Sprout, and Professor Dumbledore, respectively.

However, when Lynn handed the alchemical glasses to Dumbledore, the headmaster smiled and kindly refused, instead asking Lynn to deliver them to Lockhart.

Although Lockhart wasn't particularly skilled, he was still the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor and should be responsible for patrolling the castle.

After delivering the glasses, Lynn went to find Irina.

"I've sent the five pairs of alchemical glasses that Dumbledore requested. The next step is to get one for each of us."

Lynn told Irina, and the two of them walked toward their usual abandoned classroom.

But just as they were halfway there, Irina suddenly stopped and looked at Lynn with hesitation.

"What's wrong?" Lynn asked, confused.

Irina, somewhat embarrassed, said, "Well... Lynn, every time we go to that abandoned classroom, Hermione and the others have guessed our intentions. They even thought I was talking with you... Otherwise, do you think we could go somewhere else?"

Hearing this, Lynn felt a little awkward. After all, they were just a group of twelve-year-olds, but they could come up with so many ideas.

Lynn asked, "So, where should we go?"

Irina pondered for a moment, then seemed to think of something and looked at Lynn with her icy blue eyes. "How about we go to the Room of Requirement?"

The Room of Requirement?

Lynn was stunned.

Of course, he knew where the Room of Requirement was. It was located on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle, in front of the tapestry where the troll had hit the foolish Barnabas. When a wizard focused on the place they needed and passed by this section of the wall three times, a special door would appear. That door led to the Room of Requirement.

The Room of Requirement could provide any space that a wizard needed, making it an ideal place for secret meetings.

However, Lynn had been so busy with various matters since arriving at Hogwarts that he had never tried to enter the Room of Requirement.

So, when Irina mentioned it, Lynn agreed.

The two of them headed toward the eighth floor of the castle, and after dealing with the annoying stairs for more than ten minutes, they reached the tapestry with the troll hitting the foolish Barnabas.

"I need a place to hold meetings!"

Lynn thought silently about where he wanted to go, then paced three times in front of the wall.

A door appeared in the wall. It was a very rustic wooden door with a mahogany handle.

Lynn opened the door and entered.

Inside, there was a conference room with a round table in the center and tea sets and other items on surrounding shelves.

"Wow, is this the Room of Requirement?" Irina looked around curiously. It was her first time inside.

Lynn smiled and sat down at the round table. With a flick of his wand, the tea sets jumped automatically in front of him, and a stream of water appeared from nowhere and poured into the teapot.

After controlling the flame to prepare the tea, Lynn took out the original pair of alchemical glasses.

"This pair of alchemical glasses was my first finished product. The five pairs you gave to Dumbledore were made based on this one. After Colin's test, it's clear that they are indeed immune to the basilisk's magic."

Lynn paused his smile and said this seriously.

Irina said, "In that case, we can use these alchemical glasses to resist the basilisk."

Lynn shook his head and replied, "No, you need to understand that our opponent isn't just the basilisk, but also the diary and Tom Riddle within it. After Colin's incident, the other side must have realized that we have alchemical equipment that can resist the basilisk's magic. This means they will be more cautious and even take measures to force us to remove the glasses before attacking."

Hearing this, Irina grew anxious. "What should we do? We can't stay on edge every day, fearing our glasses will be destroyed..."

As Irina said, if you keep tightening your nerves, no matter who you are, eventually you'll go mad.

Lynn lightly tapped the table with his index finger and said, "That's the key point of today's discussion. We need alchemical equipment, like the alchemical glasses, but we must hide them."

Irina, feeling a bit guilty for not knowing anything about alchemy and being unable to offer any advice, looked at Lynn, waiting for his next words.

But just when Irina felt a little guilty, Lynn spoke up again: "Actually, I already have a good solution, which is why I not only made alchemical glasses for us but also brought you here."

Irina's eyes lit up, and she looked at Lynn expectantly.

Lynn finally smiled and said, "In fact, in my opinion, this pair of alchemical glasses isn't a true finished product but rather a prototype. It's like the glasses you can try on at a shop, where you can replace lenses of different strengths."

"Actually, I can use material magic to reshape these alchemical glasses into another form without changing their effectiveness. As for this new form, how about contact lenses?"

Lynn finally smiled and asked Irina.

"As expected of you, Lynn," Irina said happily. "Contact lenses not only have the same function as glasses, but they are also concealed enough to confuse the enemy!"

You see, although the first pair of contact lenses in the Muggle world was produced fifty years ago, it was only in that timeline.

With the complacency in the magical world today, it's possible that wizards have never even heard of contact lenses!
