Upon hearing this, Harry hesitated and no longer ran as fast as before. Instead, he stood up, followed the flow of people, and walked slowly in the direction of the sound.
Irina and the others exchanged glances and followed the crowd out of the auditorium.
As they exited the hall and gradually approached the source of the sound, they were all hit by a strong smell of blood.
Soon after, waves of exclamations from the younger wizards reached their ears from the front of the group.
Harry seemed to have figured something out and made his way to the front of the crowd, with Irina and the others following closely behind.
Upon reaching the front row of the crowd, Harry was horrified to find Mrs. Norris, Filch's cat, hanging upside down from a torch, her eyes wide open and her body stiff as stone.
On the wall near the torch were two lines written in blood: "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened,
Enemies of the heir, beware!"
But just as everyone was in shock, Malfoy pushed his way to the front, looking arrogant and smug, and with a fierce smile, he said, "Enemies of the heir, beware! You're next, Mudbloods!"
At hearing the insulting word from Malfoy again, many people frowned, some even drawing their wands, ready to curse him.
At that moment, Filch's voice was heard: "What happened here? What happened?"
Filch pushed his way through the crowd, then saw Mrs. Norris. He stumbled back and grabbed his face in horror.
"My cat! My cat! What happened to Mrs. Norris?!"
Filch shouted, and then saw Malfoy, who was standing at the front of the crowd, looking as though he was pulling away from it.
Since Harry had returned early from Nick's Deathday Party and had not encountered the scene of Mrs. Norris being petrified as in the original book, Filch, suspecting Malfoy of being the culprit, immediately targeted him.
"It's you! Damn platinum boy, you killed my cat! You killed her! I'm going to…"
Filch rushed toward Malfoy with red eyes, grabbing him by the neck as if he were about to strangle him.
"It wasn't me! Let go of me, my father is the headmaster..." Malfoy panicked and struggled. He never expected to be suspected of being the murderer.
However, Malfoy didn't seem to realize that what he had just said sounded exactly like the words of the killer.
"Argos!"
Just as Filch was choking Malfoy, Dumbledore arrived just in time. He raised his hand and with a slight gesture, Filch was pushed several meters back, releasing Malfoy.
"Come with me, Argus," Professor Dumbledore said to Filch, "and you, Mr. Malfoy!"
With that, Professor Dumbledore took both Filch and Malfoy away.
Among the crowd, there were two people who were in a state of confusion.
These two were, of course, Lynn and Irina, who were familiar with the original novel.
Good guys, shouldn't they be removing Harry's trio from the plot? Why did they change things with Malfoy this time?!
A certain girl in the Gryffindor crowd seemed to have forgotten that what she said had changed the course of the plot.
After Filch and Malfoy were taken away, the younger wizards left the corridor one by one, still shaken.
However, two figures silently slipped away from the crowd and made their way toward an abandoned classroom.
In the abandoned classroom, Lynn and Irina arrived one after the other.
This classroom, once used to house the Mirror of Erised, had now become the place where Lynn and Irina had frequently met over the past month.
"What do you mean? Don't tell me Harry and the others didn't stumble upon the scene of Mrs. Norris's petrification. You didn't do it, did you?"
Lynn looked at Irina helplessly, with a touch of affection in his voice.
Irina stuck out her tongue, raised her hands helplessly, and said, "No way, Harry invited us to attend Nick's Deathday Party! You know that place isn't for people at all, so I advised him not to go. It's not my fault they didn't want to go!"
Lynn chuckled, shook his head, and said, "Forget it, even though the plot has changed, there are still corrective measures. Besides, Harry is Dumbledore's savior, not our savior. We shouldn't rely on him for everything."
"Lynn, what are you going to do?" Irina asked.
Lynn took a round mirror from his pocket, handed it to Irina, and said, "This is the double-sided mirror I created. You can use it to stay in contact with me at any time in the future! Also, I've added a video recording feature to this mirror. You can use the small lens on the back to record images by infusing magic. It could be useful in the future!"
Irina took the special double-sided mirror like a treasure.
Lynn continued, "Next, you can subtly reveal the information about the Chamber of Secrets to Harry and the others. Also, Voldemort's diary should now be in Ginny Weasley's possession. Can you try to get it?"
Irina thought for a moment and said, "I'll try my best, but without a legitimate reason, it's hard for me to take the diary from Ginny outright."
Lynn asked, "Then look for an opportunity to steal it. Do you know the Disillusionment Charm?"
Irina shook her head sincerely. "No."
Lynn nodded, drew his wand from his waist, and said, "Come, I'll teach you."
Irina obediently approached, and Lynn tapped her lightly on the head with his wand.
Irina only felt a cold liquid flowing from the spot where Lynn's wand had touched, gradually spreading through her body. She was shocked to discover that her figure had become completely invisible as if she were wearing an invisibility cloak.
But soon, Lynn waved his wand again and lifted the Disillusionment Charm from Irina.
"Remember this feeling," Lynn told her, explaining the spell and techniques for casting the Disillusionment Charm.
Irina tried to recite the incantation and placed her wand on her head.
A familiar sensation arose from the top of her head, but the cold liquid didn't flow through her body as before. Instead, it gathered in streams, flowing downward like water splashing on a conical barrier.
Lynn, standing directly in front of Irina, couldn't help but laugh.
Irina's body, under the influence of the Disillusionment Charm, turned into streaks, and some parts of her body, like her flesh and blood, even organs, were visible from the hidden sections.
Clearly, Irina's incorporeal charm had failed.
"Don't laugh!"
Irina said angrily, canceling her ghostly spell.
Her cheeks puffed out, and she looked incredibly cute, which only made Lynn's smile grow even wider.
