After harvesting the magical branches and the Bowtruckle named Envee, Irina's family set off for home.
In the following days, as they got along well, Irina discovered that Envee was quite the greedy Bowtruckle, eating five earth turtles every day. Fortunately, Irina had taken quite a bit from Hagrid before, otherwise, she wouldn't have had enough to feed it.
Even so, Irina would need to restock once they returned home.
Meanwhile, at the Rohr Castle.
After Lynn finished refining the Demon God's Authority, he rested at home for half a month. During this period, he didn't practice magic or engage with alchemy. Instead, he enjoyed the large Rohr Manor with Rowena or occasionally visited the streets of the Muggle world to see the common people's shops.
Throughout this half month, Lynn managed to balance work and rest, not allowing magic and alchemy to fill his entire life.
If, during the final days of his time at Hogwarts, Lynn had appeared somewhat gloomy, with serious negative emotions, after this period of rest, he seemed like a completely new person. He looked much more energized and refreshed.
Now, it was August, with only a month remaining until the holidays ended.
"Mum, I'm off!" Lynn said, waving to Rowena.
This time, Lynn was heading to France to find Green, so he had to make the journey on his own. Since underage wizards weren't eligible to request international portal keys from the Ministry of Magic, Lynn had to rely on Muggles for transportation to France.
The house-elf Gale used Apparition to take Lynn to the London airport, after which Gale returned to Rohr Castle.
It was time to check in for the flight. Lynn, with a stretchable, undetectable bag on his back, walked to the check-in counter after registering.
Soon, the plane slowly taxied down the runway, picking up speed, and ascended into the air.
The plane flew smoothly through the stratosphere, and the flight attendant came down the aisle, pushing the cart with meals.
Lynn unbuckled his seatbelt, quietly sipped his coffee, and gazed out the window.
Though magic had countless magical features, the wisdom of common people was no less remarkable!
With this thought, Lynn looked at the passengers around him.
However, at that moment, Lynn, who had been interested in observing, noticed something was off.
In a few rows behind him, several passengers wearing masks appeared nervous, their hands tightly clutching their coats.
But because they were covering their coats, Lynn could make out several bulges on the surface of the coats.
Is that... a firearm?!
"I borrowed this... thanks…" Lynn quickly stood up and pretended to walk to the bathroom, using the opportunity to observe the suspicious passengers.
In their eyes, Lynn saw not only the nervousness that was almost beyond words but also a touch of madness.
Clearly, these people weren't regular passengers; perhaps… hijackers!
Lynn hid in the bathroom, took his wand out of his pocket, and cast a simple spell to make himself appear like an adult. He then transformed the toilet paper into a black metal mask and a black cloak, for an adult disguise.
At the same time, there seemed to be a scuffle in the cabin.
Bang, bang, bang!
"Ah…"
"Everyone, get down!"
Along with several gunshots, exclamations rang out, followed by a man's harsh reprimand, which silenced the cabin.
In the aisle of the cabin stood six masked men, holding submachine guns or assault rifles. The passengers and flight attendants around them crouched, hands on their heads.
"Listen, I don't want to kill anyone, I just want money! Open the cabin door and let the captain follow my route!"
One of the thugs stepped out of the cockpit, slamming the door shut behind him.
At that moment, chaos erupted in the cabin.
The co-pilot seemed to panic and shouted loudly at the hijackers outside the cockpit: "I don't know why you hijacked this plane, but your actions are provoking both the British and French police. Please stop your illegal activities immediately, or you will definitely be judged!"
With that, the co-pilot urged the captain beside him: "Quick, call the tower, then look for the nearest airport for an emergency landing! Our cockpit door is very strong, they can't get in!"
The captain quickly nodded and called the tower, planning to turn the plane around and head for the nearest airport.
Hearing this from inside the cabin, the hijacker screamed frantically: "Judged?! I'm bankrupt, with lots of debt! I've got no fucking way out!"
"Alright, you won't open the door, huh? If you don't open it in one minute, I'll shoot a tourist. Whether you reach the airport first or we all die together doesn't matter!"
The hijacker shouted.
At that moment, Lynn, who had been hiding in the airplane bathroom, finally understood the situation.
From historical development, it was clear that a financial crisis would hit Europe by mid-September 1992, causing the pound to fall and resulting in the loss of countless business owners' lives.
Though it was still August, over a month before the pound crisis that would be recorded in history, the storm had already begun to sweep through the European market by July and August. Powerful companies wouldn't be affected at this time, but some poorly managed ones might already have been victims of the preliminary effects of this crisis.
The hijackers in the cabin were clearly victims of this financial crisis, and the fact that they managed to bring such extremely prohibited firearms onto the plane showed that there were likely insiders among the airport staff. Their influence was far from small, but they had suffered a complete defeat.
These gangsters had not only lost all their capital, but were also deeply in debt. In order to survive, they chose the path of no return—hijacking the plane.
After understanding all this, Lynn was ready to act.
No matter what the reason was for the hijacking, it had nothing to do with him. He only knew that the hijackers were blocking his happy journey to France!
Having transformed into an adult under the spell, Lynn donned the black cloak and metal mask he had created through transfiguration, quietly opened the bathroom door. His eyes, filled with murderous intent, locked onto the hijackers.
At that moment, a Desert Eagle slowly rose in Lynn's hand, its dark barrel aimed directly at the hijacker at the farthest end of the aisle.
