Chapter 50 - Please give me some advice

Upon hearing Irina's words, Ron was stunned. It wasn't until then that he realized what he had said.

Yes, if it hadn't been for that older Slytherin student, he could have lost two friends forever. But he had been hostile to him just because he was a Slytherin.

Crack!

Ron opened his mouth wide in shock.

"Irina, I'm sorry, I…"

Although Ron had many flaws, he was generally a kind person, and naturally, he wasn't willing to repay kindness with hostility.

Irina helped Hermione to the school hospital on the second floor of Hogwarts Castle, and Harry and Ron followed behind.

Madame Pomfrey examined Hermione's injuries carefully. The dreadful troll had truly been powerful. Hermione's ribs were broken several times, and her spine showed signs of fractures. If it hadn't been for magical potions that could heal most physical injuries, Hermione likely wouldn't have survived.

"Poor girl, her injuries are very serious. If it hadn't been for the magical healing potion, she might not have made it. Although I've treated her with magic, she will still need to stay hospitalized for a few days for observation," Madame Pomfrey said as she cast healing spells on Hermione.

Irina's mood was a bit downcast. She nodded quietly and left the hospital wing without disturbing Hermione's rest.

Meanwhile, Lynn returned to the Slytherin common room via another corridor. After defeating the troll, he had heard Harry and the others approaching, so he didn't linger at the scene. He quickly used the Disillusionment Charm and advanced.

The common room was filled with noise. Even the younger Slytherins were agitated, making the room quite loud.

Since dinner had just ended and was interrupted by Quirrell, all the younger Slytherins were eating the food that had been served.

Lynn didn't join them, though. He went straight to his dormitory and dropped the Disillusionment Charm.

The Malfoy trio was still eating in the common room while the dormitory remained empty.

Lynn raised his hand, removing the several blocks of metal that were attached to his clothing and placing them into his bag.

These blocks of metal were a parting gift from Nicolas Flamel. Lynn referred to them as Floating Alchemical Cannons. They could absorb magical energy from the air and launch highly lethal projectiles at enemies according to Lynn's thoughts.

The combat principles of these floating cannons were similar to the alchemical set Professor Green had used when fighting Casiraghi last Halloween. However, the floating cannons, being made of alchemical creations, weren't as powerful as Green's. Lynn didn't need to expend much magical power at all, only a small amount for control during combat.

"Could it be... she's really a time traveler?" Lynn furrowed his brow. Although he hadn't been there from the beginning, it was obvious that this troll incident didn't match what he knew.

In the original book, Hermione hadn't been injured, and Harry and Ron hadn't rushed off to get help from a professor.

It would make sense if all these changes were caused by the butterfly effect brought on by time travelers, but Lynn wasn't sure whether the butterfly effect was triggered by the silver-haired girl or by him.

Although Lynn claimed to have had little interference in the plot, this possibility was making him, who was meticulous in his work, uneasy.

Looks like we need to investigate this further.

Lynn thought, as he disarmed himself.

The next day.

Irina woke up very early and skipped breakfast to run straight to the school hospital to visit Hermione.

With the help of healing magic, Hermione had recovered well. She smiled at Irina and told her that she would be discharged in two days.

This cheered Irina up again. She hummed a little tune and went to the auditorium to attend the breakfast banquet.

Just as she sat down at the Gryffindor table, grabbed a piece of bread, and was about to eat, she saw Lynn eating at the Slytherin table.

When she saw the familiar black-haired boy, her eyes immediately lit up, and she stood up to greet him.

But at that moment, the black-haired boy seemed to be looking at her. Irina saw him give her a mysterious smile, put his index finger to his lips, and made a "shh" gesture.

The black-haired boy shook his head slightly and made the gesture again.

Irina seemed to understand what he was trying to say. She held back her emotions and sat back down to enjoy her breakfast.

After the breakfast banquet, Irina went outside to the grass, where the black-haired boy was already waiting for her.

"Older student, thank you!" Irina said gratefully.

Lynn shook his head slightly and asked, "How is the girl's injury?"

Lynn referred to Hermione, and since he hadn't been in contact with her this school year, he didn't directly mention Hermione's name.

Irina paused for a moment before replying clearly, "Hermione is recovering well. Thanks to the healing potion you gave us, older student, Madame Pomfrey said if it weren't for your healing potion, with Hermione's injuries, she might not have survived in the school hospital…"

The effect of that healing potion was particularly good, far better than the ones available in Diagon Alley, making Irina feel that Lynn's life experience must be extraordinary.

"That's good. You'd better be careful this school year. After all, Hogwarts doesn't seem very peaceful this year…" Lynn said meaningfully.

Irina nodded vigorously, saying, "Yes, thank you, older student! By the way, my name is Irina Lowell. Older student, please call me Irina!"

Lynn nodded slightly and said, "Lynn Rohr."

Is this older student really from the Rohr family?

Irina was a little surprised but felt relieved when she thought about Lynn being from Slytherin.

Although he came from a pure-blood family, others were surprisingly good!

Irina thought to herself.

Irina looked at Lynn's left hand and curiously asked, "By the way, older student Rohr, I saw you cast flames from your left hand yesterday when you dealt with the troll... was that a wandless spell?"

Irina's eyes shone. You see, the spell she's currently working on is the Freezing Charm without a wand! Maybe this older student could give her some advice!

Lynn nodded.

Irina quickly said, "Older student Rohr, to be honest, I've been trying to cast the Freezing Charm without a wand, but it has failed, and I can't find the key. Although it's a bit presumptuous, I would like to ask you for advice!"
