In the sweltering summer of 2023, 18-year-old high school student, Alex Chen, was living his best life. He spent most of his days playing video games, watching anime, and dreaming about the future. But little did he know, fate had other plans for him.
As he sat in front of his computer, Alex suddenly felt a strange sensation wash over him. It was as if time itself was slowing down around him. The next thing he knew, he was hurtling through space and time, with no control over his body.
When the world finally came back into focus, Alex found himself standing in the middle of a bustling marketplace. People dressed in attire from the 18th century were rushing past him, speaking in hushed tones about the latest news from the palace. Confused and disoriented, Alex stumbled through the crowd, trying to make sense of his surroundings.
A gentle voice interrupted his thoughts. "Hey, mate! Are you alright? You look like you've seen a ghost."
Alex turned to face a young woman with piercing green eyes and raven-black hair. She was dressed in a simple yet elegant blue dress, adorned with intricate lace details at the collar. Her smile put him at ease.
"Uh, yeah... I think so," Alex replied, still trying to wrap his head around the situation. "I don't know how I got here, though."
The woman's expression turned sympathetic. "Don't worry, love. You're in the kingdom of Everia now. It's a bit of a shock at first, but you'll get used to it."
Everia? Kingdom? Alex's mind was racing with questions, but before he could ask any of them, the young woman grasped his arm and pulled him toward a nearby tavern.
"Come on, let's get some food inside. You look like you could use a cuppa. My name is Sophia, by the way."
As they walked into the tavern, Alex couldn't help but notice the peculiar decor. The walls were adorned with cobalt blue tapestries, and the tables were made of rich, dark wood. Sophia led him to an empty table near the window and handed him a steaming cup of tea.
"Now, tell me what happened to you," she said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "You didn't seem like someone from around here."
Alex took a sip of the tea, savoring the warmth as he tried to gather his thoughts. The words spilled out of him in a jumbled mess.
"I was just sitting at my computer when... I don't know... time just sorta warped, and then I ended up here. In this place. With people from the past."
Sophia's expression turned serious for a moment before she smiled mischievously.
"Well, love, it looks like you've got quite an adventure ahead of you. And who knows? Maybe your... unusual background will give you some edge in this world."
Alex raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Sophia's words. Little did he know that his knowledge from the future would become the key to unlocking a new era of innovation and discovery in Everia.
