Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Academy

Elias opened his eyes early in the morning and began preparing to go to the academy. The sun was rising slowly, casting a faint light across the room.

On his way to the academy, the streets were almost empty. Only a few workers could be seen running and shouting, busy with their tasks.

After three minutes, Elias reached a large black gate. The gate loomed overhead as a symbol of power and prestige.

The gatekeeper saw him approaching, quickly greeted him, and said fearfully,

"Young Master, welcome to the academy. Your class is A-3."

Elias wasn't surprised; from the memories of this body, he already knew that ordinary humans in this world were treated like slaves. Ignoring the frightened gatekeeper, Elias entered the classroom.

Upon entering, Elias found himself in a room with a small group of students. There were only four people inside, including Hema, the girl from yesterday with Akara, the frozen cat.

He found a seat at the back near the window and sat, waiting for the class to begin. The atmosphere was calm, but Elias sensed something strange in the air.

After ten minutes, everyone had arrived, and the academy elder entered. The elder was an old man with a long beard and eyes filled with wisdom.

Smiling, he looked at them and said,

"You've arrived early."

Everyone stood and said in unison,

"Good morning, teacher."

The academy elder chuckled and replied,

"Ha ha ha! Very well, very well. You're energetic this morning."

Then he said,

"Now, let's start the first lesson."

Looking at the children of the nobles, he said,

"Although most of you already know this, I'll repeat it. If there's anything you don't understand, raise your hands to ask."

Taking a deep breath, he began,

"What is Akara? Akara are mysterious beings that come from another dimension known as the Celestial Plane."

A female student raised her hand, and the elder said,

"Yes, Elizabeth?"

Elizabeth stood and asked,

"What is a dimension, Teacher?"

The academy elder smiled and replied,

"Elizabeth, don't call me Elder here; my name is Teacher."

Elizabeth quickly corrected herself,

"Yes, Teacher."

The teacher smiled and explained,

"Well, as for your question, a dimension is another world that we cannot see or interact with through normal means. To travel to another dimension, you need a specific and powerful force from Akara to traverse between realms. However, this is merely a legend. If you ask for my honest opinion, I've neither seen nor heard of anyone entering another dimension. Nonetheless, ancient records state that Akara originates from the Celestial Plane."

Arthur then raised his hand, and the elder said,

"Yes, Arthur?"

Arthur asked,

"If Akara comes from the Celestial Plane, how is it that there are so many Akara in nature, and even humans can create Akara?"

The elder laughed and said,

"Thank you for the question, Arthur, even though you already know the answer."

Smiling, Arthur listened as the teacher elaborated,

"Indeed, Akara exists in nature, and we can create it. I just told you about its origins and where it came from initially—it didn't form naturally."

The teacher continued,

"Now, different creatures can evolve into various types of Akara. Let's take an example: Light Bees. They are ordinary bees, not Akara, but they produce luminous golden honey. If we provide these bees with certain substances under specific conditions, there's a chance they will evolve into Akara, the Light Bees, whose ability is to emit a powerful blinding light."

He added,

"This is an example of naturally born Akara. Similarly, after humans observe these bees and understand the materials and conditions required for their evolution, we can breed them and replicate the environment to increase the chances of their transformation. These are called artificially created Akara, but there is no difference in strength or any other aspect between natural and artificial Akara, except that the latter's will is weaker because it's nurtured from the beginning."

Elias raised his hand and asked,

"Teacher, what's the difference between these Akara and the ones we summon during summoning rituals?"

The elder looked at him deeply and said,

"That will be covered tomorrow. For now, I want you to visit the library, borrow the History of Shia Village and a map of the nearby terrains, and study them diligently, as there will be another test this week—in four days. See you tomorrow."

The elder gradually left the classroom, and the children began chatting among themselves.

Hema glanced at Elias, recalling that he had summoned a rare Akara like hers. While debating whether to say hello, Elias stood up and quickly left the classroom.

The other stu

dents began leaving one by one, while Hema watched Elias, lost in her thoughts.
