Chapter 40 - The reason for this reincarnation

*"Shōgo no Doragon!"*

A gigantic luminous explosion in the shape of an energy dragon devastated the battlefield. Dekamoshi did not have time to fully react. The explosion violently threw him away, tearing off his right leg and left arm in a gush of blood.

Kneeling, his mutilated body, Dekamoshi panted. His Jōgan glowed weakly as he struggled to stay conscious.

Shibai slowly walked towards him, a victorious smile on his lips.

"Look at yourself, Dekamoshi," he said with contempt. "You didn't even know how to awaken the true power of your Jōgan. This legendary power can only belong to a pure lineage. You, a half-breed, were never worthy."

"Bastard!"

Dekamoshi growled, his anger and hatred boiling despite his weakness.

"A slave should sacrifice himself for his master," Shibai added, his smile widening as the roots of the divine tree wrapped around Dekamoshi's broken body.

Devastated by the betrayal and his inability to achieve his revenge, Dekamoshi realized that he had been manipulated from the beginning. All those years of hatred and slaughter had only served to strengthen Shibai.

"Fuck!" he screamed, tears in his eyes, his hatred consuming him. "I swear I will destroy you, Shibai!"

But Shibai burst into laughter. "Destroy me? You're finished, Dekamoshi. Sacrifice yourself like the slave you are."

Then, a moment of clarity flashed through Dekamoshi's mind. If he couldn't defeat Shibai with his body, he would use the last hidden ability of his Jōgan:

*"Soul Detachment."*

As he was being engulfed, Dekamoshi murmured, "Even in death, I will never let you reach divinity, Shibai."

Dekamoshi's Jōgan illuminated with a blinding light, radiating an energy of divine purity.

With a final effort, he activated *Soul Detachment*, his spiritual energy detaching from his body being absorbed.

Dekamoshi opened his eyes, panting. He found himself in an immaculate room, a dazzling white that seemed to stretch infinitely. There were no walls or ceiling, but a sense of oppressive confinement.

Before him, a feminine silhouette slowly appeared. Her hair flowed like silver waves, and she was chained by ethereal bonds that pulsed weakly with light. Despite this, her expression remained calm and benevolent.

"Mother?" Dekamoshi murmured, his heart wavering between disbelief and hope.

The woman smiled softly, but a mischievous glint crossed her eyes.

"Now you must be older than me to call me that, right?" she said in a gentle but mischievous voice. "Call me Matsuya, otherwise I'd be embarrassed."

Dekamoshi felt a weight descend upon him. He blinked, seeking an explanation. "I thought you were dead..." he murmured.

Matsuya slightly averted her gaze, her smile fading. "Perhaps I am. Or perhaps not. It doesn't matter now."

"If you see me at this moment," she continued, her voice becoming more serious, "it's because you are already dead or rather, your body has been sacrificed, your essence devoured by your own power. What you see here is only a fragment of my consciousness, left behind during my imprisonment, before my execution."

Dekamoshi felt his blood run cold. "What? No... it's not possible."

"I suppose you'll be shocked," Matsuya continued with a hint of melancholy. "But you must listen carefully. Time is short, and this message is all I can transmit to you before my chains erase me for good."

Matsuya briefly closed her eyes, as if gathering her memories. "I was nothing but a servant," she began. "I accompanied my master to an unexplored dimension, a wild and mysterious land where everything seemed possible. It was there that I met him... your father."

She paused, her eyes lost in a distant memory. "He was not like the others. Where my clan saw only conquests, he saw worlds to understand, to preserve. And little by little, we fell in love, despite the taboo."

Dekamoshi listened in silence, absorbing every word.

"I betrayed my master for your father," she resumed, a mix of pride and regret in her voice. "He had also infiltrated, and so I denounced him, and your father killed him. But I knew that the clan would never forgive such an affront. I knew we were doomed."

Matsuya turned her gaze to the chains that held her, a glint of sadness in her eyes. "So, to protect your father and you, still in my womb, I planted the divine tree. It devoured my master, and by eating its fruit, I obtained the senrigan.

Dekamoshi clenched his fists, struggling against the emotions rising within him.

"The Senrigan gave me a vision of the future," Matsuya continued. "I saw all that you would suffer, all that Shibai would make you endure. Every betrayal, every pain, every battle."

She paused, her expression darkening. "But I also saw a future even further away, a future that can be changed. That's why I left you this message, to prepare you."

Matsuya took a deep breath, her face becoming grave again. "I have little time. I will send you to a dimension where you will learn about this future. A dimension you will know as the manga Naruto.

Dekamoshi furrowed his brows, confused. "Naruto? What's all this about? I don't know what a manga is!"

Matsuya gave a sad smile. "You'll understand in due time. I've manipulated destiny as best I could so that you can regain your memories as soon as possible. But I cannot promise that you will regain all your former power. What I can guarantee is that you will be born under good conditions, and I will do everything to help you become stronger, even if it's just a small technique."

Dekamoshi, despite himself, widened his eyes at this declaration. "This is absurd... What's this nonsense about destiny?"

"You must live. And above all, you must prepare. Shibai has reached divinity, but his former mortal body still rests in a dimension. The dimension of this manga Naruto.

Matsuya moved slightly closer, although her chains held her back. **"Your objective is clear, my son: to retrieve these fragments of Shibai. He has divided himself into seven... each body possessing one of his divine powers that he obtained. You are the only chance to destroy them."

Dekamoshi slowly nodded, his mind still muddled but determined. "And you, mother? Do you want me to save you too?"

Matsuya shook her head. "I suppose you'll wonder if I can be saved? But it's not possible. I am but an echo. But you, Dimitry..." She paused, as if savoring the name. "Or should I say Shikai... You must live, my son. Be happy. And above all, destroy that bastard Shibai. And also make allies, make sure you never face him alone."

As her words faded, Dekamoshi felt the reality around him dissolve. The white light of the room faded, and Matsuya's silhouette diminished, her chains tightening until they suffocated her.

"Mother!" he cried, reaching out.

"Don't cry for me," she replied softly, before disappearing. "Go... and change your destiny, my child. And make your mother proud."

...

Dekamoshi woke up in a place he did not recognize. His memories were confused, his mind foggy.

A man in a white lab coat entered the room, accompanied by a woman.

As his memories faded away forever, he heard his new name.

"I'll call him Dimitry..."
