Chapter 22 - EXCLUSIVE ABILITY{BONUS CHAPTER}

{BONUS CHAPTER}

[Binding Vow] - the name itself carried a weighty gravitas. A skill so powerful, so intricate, that even the gods themselves trembled at its full potential. Only Hades and Asha, heirs of the underworld, possessed this ability to forge unbreakable contracts between beings.

The intricacies of Binding Vow were as complex as they were powerful. This ability allowed Hades and Asha to forge agreements between any two beings, but there was a catch - one party must possess something of value, whether that be a skill, ability, or even a soul, to offer as a bargaining chip. In exchange, the other party would grant a favor or service, binding themselves to their part of the agreement.

When a being trades an ability or skill via Binding Vow, they not only forfeit the power itself, but also the memories and understanding associated with that ability. This complete loss of the ability and its knowledge effectively strips the god or being of their uniqueness, as the power becomes Hades' or Asha's to wield as their own.

This total transfer is what makes Binding Vow so feared among the gods. To surrender a part of themselves, their very essence, to another deity would be akin to losing a piece of their identity.

 Asha, being a first generation offspring of Hades and a mortal, possessed both the physical body and the soul, allowing him to wield Binding Vow on both gods and mortals alike.

This revelation was a game-changer for Asha, as it meant he was no longer bound by the same limitations as his father. No longer did he need to rely on the whims of the gods for power; he could instead focus on the descendants of these same deities, the demigods who possessed a portion of their divine essence.

Hades with his keen awareness of Asha's true potential, recognized that the skills and abilities gleaned from the souls of the dead were not sufficient for his son to reach his full potential. These abilities, though helpful, were born of human experiences, and lacked the depth and complexity of those possessed by the demigods and gods themselves.

To overcome this limitation, Hades tasked Leach with the grueling task of pushing Asha to his limits, challenging him to harness the skills he had acquired and forge them into something more powerful.
