'The Nine Finalist of Tomorrow's Idol Season 2' was the hot topic of the weekend.
The top nine contestant had been selected. And amonst them was Sienne. They nine girls would be forming a group and debut within a few months at latest.
Besides the 'Tomorrow's Idol' there was another hot search which was being associated with the program. And that was the crew of 'Page of Promises.'
The official page of the drama had posted a few images of Maevie's farewell party and it was being a hot topic. People were talking about how untalented she was and how she would ruin the whole drama.
But the actress and her company seemed to not to disturbed by this discussion that had been brought up again and again by the targeting medias. The reason was not because the company did not care about Maevie reputation. Wander just believed that the more blazing the flame was at this moment, the more the pleasure it would be to extinguish when they saw the new, talented, and charming Maevie in front of them.
There were many netizens who enjoyed the reading the stupid things done by a dumb and rich girl. And amongst them was Victor. Victor especially enjoyed reading articles which ridiculed Maevie just because of the troubles she brought to Luther and his team.
And the girl seemed to have endless juice to share. Of course, Victor was not going to enjoy this juicy bit on his own. He brought the news to his good friend.
"Hey Luther! Have you heard the news yet?"
"What news?" Asked the man who was enjoying his hard-earned leisure time, reading the new book he had ordered.
"I was wonder why your little ghost was not showing up these days. It turned out she had been haunting a drama crew with her awful acting."
Victor brought his phone in front of Luther.
"See. It's all over Neblux."
The actor merely gave the phone a stare of a second before he went back to reading his book. Victr did not mind his disinterested action. Luther had always been like this. And he would really be worried if the actor was showing interest in topics regarding Maevie.
He did not want the mess to associate with Maevie anymore. As an agent and also as a friend of Luther. The girl had trouble and brought disturbance to Luther and those around him. These few weeks that she had not appeared in front of them had been most peaceful days ever since he had become Luther's agent.
Victor put his phone away.
"I wonder why the President even let her into the industry. She is not cut out for it anyway." The agent pondered to himself. "She only ruining the company's reputation."
Luther who was sitting besides him was not showing any interest to what he had said.
"I was shocked when she was listed in the participants of Tomorrow's Idol. I mean… Who in the Sirus Entertainment doesn't know how awful Maevie's singing is? She could not even dance to save her life. Why even send her there?"
"…"
Luther did not mind the babbling man besides him. He flipped the page of the book and let the words from the man enter from one side of his ear and let them out from the other side.
"Even if she insisted. Shouldn't the president stop their own wild cow from ruining someone else's field."
"That is not your problem." Luther's calm voice came. "You don't know how their family works. So, don't stretch out your hand to where you shouldn't."
"And you do?" Victor asked instinctively.
"…"
And of course, he was awarded with a glare from his friend. Victor could only put up his hands as a sign of surrender. And for the next few minutes, he remained quiet, giving Luther the peace that he wanted to read his book.
But the effect of the glare given by the actor on the agent did not last too long. Victor in his silent state remembered the gossip that he had heard in the company the day before yesterday. His desire to share the gossip overthrew the fear of being the receiver of another glare from Luther.
"You know… I've heard something interesting in the company. Wanna listen to it?"
"No Thank you."
"Are you sure? It's a very interesting news ya know."
"Yes. I'm sure. You can keep the interesting news to yourself."
"I'm sure you'll appreciate it after you hear it…" Victor insisted.
"I'd be more appreciative if you would be quiet and let me rad my book peacefully." Luther was really not interested.
'You're no fun' Victor pouted in disappointment.
"What are you even reading?"
The agent tilted his head to catch the cover of the book. It read '9 Cold Cases Profile.'
"You preparing for the next project already?" He asked.
"Uh huh"
"But it's still months away. Why don't you just take rest?" Victor sometimes worried that his artist was too much of a workaholic.
"I am taking rest." Luther responded.
"Well…" Victor shrugged his shoulder. "What can say if you insist on doing it?"
"It's just reading a book, Victor. It doesn't take much energy from me. And I believe that this is the best way to utilize my spare time. Later I would not have to rush to understand the nature of the job I'm going for."
"Okay… O.K. You're always right."
Victor once again surrendered. Yet he could not help but grumble.
"Let leave it at that… Do whatever you want. It's your time anyway. Not mine."
Most agent in the industry had hard time making their artist work. And here he was, insisting the only artist under him to stop overworking himself.
But then, he remembered the gossip he was about to share before he was distracted by Luther.
"Hey!!! You distracted me from telling you the news I heard from the company."
"…" Luther was totally unaffected by the accusation.
"Whether you want to listen it or not, I'm gonna tell you anyway."
Luther did not agree to him. But he did not stop him either.
"Ya heard the new dating show that's getting attention these days."
"No."
"Tsk!!"
Victor clicked his tongue in annoyance. He sometimes hated how much Luther was ignorant about the events of the industry. But putting his dissatisfaction away, he continued.
"So… There is this one new dating show like variety show which had been getting popular this past week."
"…"
Luther did not respond. But Victor was not disappointed. Cause he was sure what he was about to say would get the idol's attention.
"I've heard that Maevie has signed a contract with the show."
And he was right. It was short. But for a second, Luther paused.
