The taste of blood filled her mouth, warm and metallic, and a jolt of energy shot through her body. Her brain secreted something addicting, it dulled the pain of her wounds, her emotions, her reasoning, and she found herself moving with primal strength.
She didn't stop.
She couldn't.
It was overwhelming, intoxicating.
Ayin tore into the flesh with an urgency she didn't know she possessed, each bite sending another surge of power coursing through her veins.
Eyes, heart, lungs, pancreas, brain…
All beating, all warm, all fresh, all sweet, all delicious—
She hated herself for her cruel deed right now, but the hunger was stronger than her shame.
The truth was, Ayin has always been a soft one in the family. Not only because she was raised with more love because she was a female, but she simply not that way. Soft-natured. If that wasn't the case, she would have always hunted together with her brother.
But she didn't.
Her father always did that.
And her mother would prepared almost bloodless part of the animal's body as her food.
All because she can't bear to see cruelty.
When Ayin had taken all she could from Noryl, she turned to the other corpse. The robed woman, Yeva's delicate form seemed almost peaceful, as though she had simply fallen asleep. But Ayin felt no guilt as she sank her teeth into the soft flesh.
Blood painted her jaw red.
Her sharp teeth finally show their true purposes; bite through soft skins, crack the hard bones, gnaw the soft pink muscles and tendons, eat all.
Pink fur and pink tongue turned crimson.
She instinctively used her claws; tear the skins apart, pull what's inside. Innards was too nasty, but not all. kidneys, womb, fetus, grab and swallow it all.
Chew on her heart, drink her blood, suck on the veins, let the parched throat drenched again.
Devour her whole.
By the time Ayin had finished, her body was trembling—not from weakness, but from the raw primal energy that now pulsed through her.
Her gaze returned to Zesh, and tore off Yeva's bloody breast before she crawled to his side.
He looked so frail and so broken.
she whispered, her voice trembling.
She lowered her head, nudging him gently.
Every time she nudged Zesh but he remained still, it caused heart wrenching pain on her. She was reminded of tragedy that day, when she was trying to wake her father up despite knowing the truth.
She finally couldn't hold her feelings together and her tears rolling down her cheek, falling on his face, and at that moment, his eyes finally fluttered open.
They were dull, unfocused, but alive.
But in that one word, Ayin felt everything he feels.
Relief that she's okay.
Grateful that he make it, that she's still alive.
Everything conveyed through their telepathy, and Ayin's tears flow even harder,
Ayin instantly panicked.
Without a second thought, she stuff the breast in her mouth into Zesh's jaw. Caught off guard from getting fed directly, his about to fade consciousness instantly jolted and his brain began reading the situation.
His gaze shifted to the five human, two of them barely look human anymore, <…>
<'Wait, wait, wait…'> he thought to himself, but at that moment, his throat make a swallowing motion, <…..>
Ayin pulled herself back, a xrimson saliva was drawn between their bloody mouths for a moment while Zesh staring blankly.
<…>
Zesh was obviously shocked. What happened to his sister? But then, seeing her gaze, he understood. Then he hesitated, but the hunger was too much to resist—and why not? That was delicious, and it's not also appease his hunger but also his hatred.
With a low growl, he stood with difficulty.
Ayin had to helped him before he could sink his teeth into the flesh of the armored man.
Zesh watched in silence as her brother feasted on humans, his weak movement slowly energized, his self as a predator slowly returned, and at this moment, he was nothing but a carnivorous beast.
Ayin sighed, her chest tightening with a mixture of relief and something darker—satisfaction.
When Zesh finally finished, he turned to looked at her, their snout similarly bloody with gore. His scarlet eyes burning with a fire she had never seen before.
<…Sister..>
<…>
Zesh lowered his gaze, feeling complicated.
It seems Ayin is no longer as soft as she used to be, hatred burning in her heart, pushed her strong enough to eat humans—just like him. But he felt nothing close to happiness, but rather self-blame.
<'This is because I'm weak..'> at this thought, he immediately noticing his sorrounding.
Nutrition slowly flows from stomach to head, making his brain function properly,
<...what? But you're the one who brought us here!>
<…..did I?>
Zesh tilted his head in confusion, and Ayin almost snapped at her brother despite her sadness.
But then, "IT" appeared.
