Chapter 9 - Placement Exam Ranking Announcement (1)

"Yes," - Princiap Zhu replied

"She's the same Miss Zhao, who at the age of 12, was offered an early admission to the Imperial Univeristy after scoring 1,141points out of 1,200 on the national entrance exam, breaking the all time record by 1 point. And five years since then, yet the closest exam points of the top scorer is still 45 points away from her."

There were murmurs of administration across the screens.

They held this impromptu online meeting to discuss the result of the placement exam, but now they all seemed caught in their memories, about a certain achievement.

Imperial University wasn't just a top institution in the country, it was a symbol of unattainable excellence. The difficulty of its entrance exam was legendary, far supasing even the top admissions processed abroad. It can be said that the only the smartest students can be accepted.

In Huxia, every students need to prepare for the Gaokao exam to be admitted to univeristies, and the full score of it was 750 points. But aside from it, there is much harder exam. That is the exam of Imperial Univeristy. It was at least two to three times harder than Gaokao and the full score of it is 1,200 points. And only those who scored 900 points above can be admitted.

5 years ago,There was more than thirteen million students preparing for Gaokao exam, yet there is only over two hundred thousand who dared to take the Imperial University's exam.

But the admission rate was barely 0.15% as out of that exam takers, only 317 students were accepted and there is only fifteen students who broke through the 1,000 score. It is the smallest admission rate ever since the start of the Imperial University.

"Seventeen years ago, There was also that person who broke the record of the highest exam scor. Despite being ten years old, he manage to get a 1,140 points, defeating the nine years unbroken record by 31 points." - Principal Zhang said, his voice carrying reverence.

The murmurs quieted as the significance of his words sank in.

"And someone broke that record five years ago. Even if it just a point higher than the previous record of 1,140 points, it was monumental enough. It had stood for over decade and no one had even come closed until she came along."

"Don't also forget that the third highest score in the entire history of the Imperial University was only 1,109 points. That score had been held for nine years before that man broke it. Even the fourt highest score was 1,05 points, The gap between her score and the others is alsmost unfathomable." - one of the principal added as he sigh

"Ha, whenever I see that man, I could still remember that he graduted at Imperial Univeristy at twelve years old. It only took him two years to complete his degree."

The room was silent for a moment as everyone reflected on those numbers. It wasn't just about breaking records, it was about shattering expectations, redefining what was possible.

These fact alone was enough to leave even the most experienced educators marveling. The idea of someone so young being admitted to the Imperial univeristy is alreadu thrilling enough, yet he also manage to survive through the demanding environment of Imperial Univeristy. That man was really genius among geniuses.

*Cough* Miss Liu fake a cough to caught the attentions of the people

"Principal Zhu, I know you're reminiscing good things, but we already delayed the anoucement of the placement exam for almost an hour now. We need to move now."

Principal Zhu looked at the time and nodded but before he could even speak, another voice chimed in.

"Her parent's didn't allow her to enroll back then right?" - Another director asked

"Yes. Back then, the reason that they gave to the Univirsity is because she is too young and they want her to experinced at least a normal childhood." - Another senior teacher said

"I still remember that the Imperial University persuaded them back then that Miss Zhao is a genius and studying earlier at univeristy would make her more succesull, yet no matter how they persuaded, they couldn't let her parents agree even if they asked help from the education bureau or the people from the top.

It was known that the Imperial University cherish talents and geniuses the most, so how could they do not want Miss Zhao to be admitted? Yet, they could only give up since Miss Zhao is from that Zhao Family. They couldn't provoke them." - Another principal said with a sigh

"Well, even prodigies deserve a chance to grow up like a normal child. Mr. And Mrs. Zhao want her daughter to experinece a normal youth." - Principal Zhu said

"Anyway, let's conclude this meeting. We've already delayed the annoucement long enough." - He continued
