Chapter 53 - Chapter Fifty-three: You Owe Me a Life, How About It?

"Since my return to my true self and finishing lunch, barely over an hour has passed in the Bay World, yet it seems on the verge of upheaval…"

Wang Hui could no longer afford to scrutinize Liang Xiaohai's updates, his focus shifted to the vessels emerging from Reverse Wind Port in the Bay World.

There appeared to be around thirty ships, and proportionately, approximately ten vessels exceeded fifty micro-meters in size, with the remainder being medium-sized warships escorting them.

In this miniature world's historical context, the existence of extraordinary powers had prevented military advancements toward firearms.

Thus, the warships were devoid of cannons, instead featuring several wizards in pointed hats and heavily armored knights.

Moreover, the ships appeared quite bulky, likely carrying a considerable number of soldiers, with combat strategies centered around boarding actions and land assaults.

Peering through his magnifying glass, Wang Hui's gaze shifted to the conspicuously draped red cloth atop the buildings in the city.

"Could Justin be implying that those departing warships are preparing to assault the island sprites?"

Wang Hui pondered.

From the information he had gleaned from Lilia, it seemed the combat capabilities of the island sprites were not formidable, nor did they harbor expansive ambitions.

Consequently, their living space was increasingly encroached upon by the four nations, forcing the core populations to relocate to the deep-sea islands, living cautiously and discreetly.

Was it not excessive for the Storm Kingdom to deploy thirty warships for an assault?

However, given the potential implications for the survival of this rare group of sprites, Wang Hui could not afford to delay in formulating a response!

"While I could effortlessly sink this fleet beneath the waves, that would not align with my principle of resourcefulness…"

After a moment's consideration, he resolved to project his form into the situation for clarity.

For safety's sake, he first approached the clan world to harvest the recently gathered primal energy.

During this period of heightened military readiness and autumn harvest among the three clans, their intense activity provided Wang Hui with an abundance of life force and soul energy.

Amidst the resounding hum, his primal energy reserves, which had reached C-98%, surged, swiftly surpassing the limit!

"Ugh…"

At the moment his usable primal energy transformed to B-1%, Wang Hui let out a low groan, feeling his internal organs pulse rhythmically as his bones and muscles vibrated uncontrollably!

His garments stirred without wind, and surging currents of energy swirled upward, causing the awning above the courtyard to rattle ominously!

After a moment, his breath stabilized, as Wang Hui reopened his eyes and stretched his limbs, he sensed a form of evolutionary advancement, with heightened awareness of his surroundings.

As his gaze fell once more upon the glass dome, he realized he could see the miniature scene within with clarity, no longer needing the magnifying glass!

"With my life level elevated to B, I may no longer be measured by mortal standards…"

Clenching his fists, Wang Hui placed his hand on the metallic surface of the Bay World.

"This time, let's see if you can still pinpoint my arrival location!"

In the Bay World, at Reverse Wind Port,

The thug leader named Pei handed over the sack containing Liang Xiaohai's corpse to Justin in exchange for a small pouch of silver coins.

"Oh, aligning yourself with the noble lady as a butler has certainly made you more generous!"

Pei grinned as he opened the pouch, counting the coins and discovering five more than the thirty previously agreed upon, causing his grotesque face to brighten with delight.

"Next time you have similar opportunities, make sure to seek me out immediately!"

Pei bid Justin a familiar farewell, however, as he stepped outside, the smile gradually faded from his face.

The two had shared numerous dealings in the past and understood each other well.

Justin viewed Pei as merely a slick little schemer, but Pei sensed an inexplicable pride in Justin that remained undiminished even when dealing with clients from the noble class!

What had prompted this sudden decision to serve an unknown lady as a butler?

Moreover, the subtle change in Justin's demeanor left Pei inwardly astonished…

There was a deeply concealed air of danger, rivaling that of some knights he had encountered!

"Ah, I hope I don't get entangled in anything too troublesome, making a little money would suffice…"

Pei sighed, shaking his head, reverting to his usual swaggering demeanor as he turned into a nearby alley, intending to join his underlings for a drink.

But just a few steps in, he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine!

Drawing on years of living on the edge, Pei instinctively sidestepped and unsheathed his knife!

Swish!!

The quality blade that had effortlessly slashed Liang Xiaohai's throat mere moments ago was now casually pinched between two fingers!

"Ah, sharp reflexes."

Wang Hui emerged from the shadows, his right hand effortlessly holding the knife while Pei was forced to retreat repeatedly.

Suppressing his shock, Pei whispered, "Who are you? Have I offended you before?"

In this dire moment, Pei's instinctive words echoed those of Liang Xiaohai from earlier.

The difference was that he had no intention of resigning himself to fate, he had already noted an escape route that remained unblocked, preparing to seize the first opportunity to flee…

"There was nothing to offend in the past, but…"

Wang Hui glanced at the knife between his fingers, stating, "You unwarrantedly attacked me, and since I spared your life, consider it a debt of one life. How does that sound?"

Without waiting for Pei's response, Wang Hui casually released the knife, pocketing it as he strode toward the front door of Lilia's residence.

"I'm rather busy at the moment, you can keep your debt of life for now."

"You—"

Pei stood agape, and as Wang Hui's figure vanished around the corner of the alley, he couldn't help but mutter under his breath, "What an arrogant bastard!"

Yet upon glancing down at the clear fingerprints on the knife, Pei realized his shirt was already drenched in cold sweat.

First, there was the strangely transformed Justin, and now that inexplicably powerful stranger with black hair…

Confusion clouded Pei's face, and as he looked up, he saw numerous warships departing the port, an ominous premonition settling over him.

"Is Reverse Wind Port about to descend into chaos?"

---

On the other side, Wang Hui had arrived at the entrance of Lilia's residence. With Maris, the doorman, absent, he pushed the door open unceremoniously.

As expected, after his life level enhancement, the abilities of his projected form had indeed escalated once more!

During this descent, Wang Hui could faintly sense the Bay World's attempts to reject him, striving to fix his arrival point back at the previous port warehouse.

However, along the way, he exerted his primal energy forcefully, altering his trajectory to land within the city, managing to slightly regain his footing in terms of the rules!

Encountering the thug Pei had merely been an unexpected incident…

"...Teacher?"

Justin, who was sifting through various pieces of intelligence inside, looked up upon hearing the noise and immediately rose to greet Wang Hui.

"I have important matters to report to you!"
