Chapter 49 - Chapter Forty-nine: Namo Gatling Bodhisattva: This Is Not Just a Simple VR Game

"The blind box yielding luxury bags is so passé! Come see the ultimate prize I've drawn!"

The title of this blind box comment exuded arrogance and a hint of disdain. Especially those who had recently boasted about their own luxury finds were easily drawn in to mock this unfortunate soul.

However, upon opening the comment, they were greeted with stunningly beautiful images of medieval-style architecture, bustling port cities, and exotic women laughing while holding their skirts…

The commenter, identifying as "Namo Gatling Bodhisattva," claimed that this was their first purchase of such a blind box, revealing a device resembling a VR game console. After some experimentation, they discovered that the pre-installed game was vastly superior to the shoddily produced VR games on the market.

The images shared at the comment's outset were screenshots taken directly from the game!

Some scoffed at this claim, insisting, "How could those be screenshots from a game? They obviously look like real photographs! Could it possibly be some town in Beio?"

Yet others quickly refuted, stating, "Impossible! I've lived in Beio for over twenty years and have explored the entire region—there's no medieval town that retains such perfection!"

"Could it be behind-the-scenes footage from a movie? Is there a fantasy film wrapping up soon?"

"These images aren't produced by special effects; to build a film set of such grand scale for shooting would cost an unimaginable fortune!"

"The focus isn't on the town, though! Look at that blonde, blue-eyed lady—what a sweet smile! I think I'm in love..."

The commenters engaged in lively debate, with both skeptics and defenders. Meanwhile, "Namo Gatling Bodhisattva" remained undeterred, continuously updating their content.

Every so often, new images would be posted along with their personal impressions. Even in textual form, others could feel the overwhelming excitement radiating from them!

If they had indeed experienced such a groundbreaking real-world virtual game, their exhilaration would likely surpass anything else!

"Namo Gatling Bodhisattva: Everyone, I've tried it! The actions in the game deliver an incredibly lifelike experience; this is not just a simple VR game! Regrettably, the NPCs do not understand my language. No matter if I speak in Mandarin, Yinyu, Kimchi, Pahua, or Dantong, they remain oblivious… There's no beginner's guide, and I'm at a loss for what to do." [Images]

Playing a game requires learning a new language?

Some expressed admiration for "Namo Gatling Bodhisattva's" vast knowledge, while others ridiculed the arrogance of the game developers. Yet more were skeptical, suggesting that the commenter was fabricating stories for attention.

Wang Hui, however, formed a different opinion. Noticing their use of phonetic characters to depict "NPC language," he immediately recognized it as the language of the miniature world!

Continuing to scroll, "Namo Gatling Bodhisattva" posted a photograph of the VR game console, with the side logo of "Le Gao" clearly visible.

There was no doubt that this person had entered Wang Hui's Bay World!

Moreover, through comparative analysis of the various images, it was highly likely that their location was indeed the Reverse Wind Port of the Storm Kingdom!

Wang Hui hastened to the vicinity of the Bay World, refreshing the recent photos posted by "Namo Gatling Bodhisattva" while scrutinizing the Reverse Wind Port with his magnifying glass.

"There it is..."

Minutes later, he spotted an unusually behaving tiny figure on a street on the western side of the port. Dressed in a typical medieval garb of coarse fabric, this figure displayed a demeanor and actions quite different from those around them, eagerly gazing about, clearly a first-time visitor.

"Remarkably, they truly entered… But they don't seem to be the original; they must be a projection akin to mine."

After a moment, the peculiar tiny figure vanished into thin air!

Wang Hui looked at his phone, refreshing the comment thread and waiting a bit longer, and sure enough, "Namo Gatling Bodhisattva" had posted new images and content.

"Unlike me, the master of this miniature world, he connected through the same company's device, so his method of entry and exit differs from mine."

Wang Hui was unsure whether the individual could harness the source energy and gain extraordinary powers while in the miniature world. Yet the emergence of this variable undoubtedly filled him with a sense of urgency!

If this individual were fortunate enough to acquire the sacred relics of the Bay World, Wang Hui could potentially lose some of his leverage.

However, as the tangible items of the Bay World were in his possession, he could surely leverage his own advantages to eliminate the threat!

Even if he did not take direct action, merely spraying a can of insecticide into the area would be beyond the tolerance of miniature beings, and even those with extraordinary abilities would not withstand it!

After contemplating for a while, Wang Hui shook his head and chuckled:

"I must avoid the pitfalls of arrogant villains; I cannot afford to slacken my pursuit of the sacred relics, nor can I allow that risk to develop unchecked!"

Polishing off the remaining breakfast, he reached out to the metallic surface of the Bay World.

Descend!

Whoosh—Boom!!

A beam of light descended from above, and Wang Hui felt as though he had broken something once more.

Looking up, he beheld two large holes—one new and one old—in the ceiling, surrounded by the familiar stench of seafood…

He found himself back in the warehouse of the port where he had landed the day before!

"Could it be that I was rejected by the Bay World due to the presence of the sacred relic Yin-Yang Fish within me, causing my landing location to be locked?"

Wang Hui frowned slightly as he rose from the seafood crates he had previously demolished, casually pulling out a few needlefish that had gotten stuck in his pants.

Earlier, Wang Hui had been dissatisfied with the randomness of the clan world's descent; now, being forced into a fixed landing spot in the Bay World, he found it even less appealing than random descent…

Hearing footsteps approaching, Wang Hui decided to temporarily set aside this issue and nimbly climbed out of the warehouse through a back window.

Before long, several ship owners and sailors arrived at the scene, drawn by the commotion.

Gazing at the newly formed holes in the roof and the utterly wrecked seafood crates, the ship owners who had stored their goods there felt utterly despondent.

"Blast it! What on earth caused this? If this continues to happen daily, will I still be able to conduct business?!"

Due to the principle of mutual benefit, the other unaffected ship owners quickly joined in, pressuring the warehouse supervisor to enhance security measures.

The supervisor wore a pained smile, repeatedly assuring everyone that he would catch the prankster next time!

"Achoo..."

Meanwhile, Wang Hui strolled along the streets of Reverse Wind Port, sneezing.

"Can a projection body catch a cold too?"

He rubbed his nose, not thinking much of it.

Aligning himself with his intuition regarding Justin's location, Wang Hui proceeded along the winding stone streets.

In "Namo Gatling Bodhisattva's" screenshots, Reverse Wind Port appeared picturesque.

However, being there in person revealed clear shortcomings, such as the uneven roads and flowing sewage.

"Fortunately, I had foreseen these issues and instructed Nalan Xia to implement sewage measures; otherwise, the City of Divine Grace would be in a similar state..."

With this thought in mind, Wang Hui paused in front of an imposing building, detecting the presence of Justin and the elven maiden Lilia within.
