Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Divine Force Descends! A Gift from the Gods

Recognition of the Sacred Relic?

Dazed and disoriented from the shockwave, Zuo Qiu Yue stood frozen, grappling with disbelief.

In ancient tales, those who gained the recognition of a sacred heirloom would receive the supreme power to dominate the Three Clans!

Yet, the conflicts among the Huyan, Zuo Qiu, and Nalan clans had persisted for centuries.

The sacred relic had changed hands numerous times, but the fabled "supreme power" had never materialized.

Most regarded it as mere myth, seeing the relic merely as a symbolic ornament of authority, and even Zuo Qiu Yue held little hope for salvation.

But how could one explain the extraordinary spectacle before her?

Just then, the beam of light began to dissipate, gradually revealing a human silhouette.

"Have I... entered this glass dome?"

Once grounded, Wang Hui's sense of disorientation lessened.

Raising his gaze, he peered through the clouds of the night sky, faintly glimpsing the exterior of the "glass curtain wall."

A colossal figure loomed before the wall, pressing his hands against it!

"It seems my true form did not enter, so this is but a projected body…"

Wang Hui withdrew his gaze and scanned the surroundings.

From the outside, the miniature world appeared dim at night, necessitating a flashlight for observation.

However, within it, he discovered that the small moon above was not entirely insignificant, visible for dozens of meters around.

Hundreds of cavalry clad in leather armor, brandishing curved blades, presented an intimidating sight.

Yet Wang Hui knew he hadn't actually entered in his true form, so there was no need for excessive concern for his safety.

Moreover, the pale faces of those warriors indicated that his dramatic entrance had likely instilled greater fear in them…

Casting his gaze around, Wang Hui focused on the girl nearest to him.

She immediately stiffened, hastily kneeling, and lifted something from her garment, presenting it with both hands.

"Guri xiga, jidi lili…"

Wang Hui could not comprehend the girl's frantic utterances and calmly approached, extending his hand.

Though not in his true form, the sensation of movement felt strikingly similar.

The girl offered a small sculpture.

"Hmm?"

As Wang Hui grasped the sculpture, two opposing streams of energy—one cold, the other warm—rushed into him.

Along with that, a cascade of peculiar information flooded his mind!

"Zuo Qiu Clan... Huyan Clan... Nalan Clan..."

With the sacred relic in hand, a wave of foreign memories surged within Wang Hui's consciousness.

It was as though he had rapidly viewed a series of rough slides, granting him an overview of this miniature world.

In essence, it existed in a developmental phase between a slave society and a feudal society.

The Y-shaped Pinchuan River divided the world into three distinct regions, giving rise to the three clans.

Over centuries of conflict, the Zuo Qiu and Huyan clans had alternated in strength, each achieving victories and defeats against the other.

Meanwhile, the Nalan clan was a quintessential opportunist, adept at balance and manipulation.

However, more than the history of the three clans, Wang Hui found himself intrigued by this so-called "sacred relic."

The sculpture depicted two intertwining fish, one black and one white, crafted from smooth stone.

Entitled the "Yin Yang Fish," its purpose was to forcibly merge two species, allowing them to retain their advantageous traits and forge a more powerful entity!

Furthermore, the newly created species would be utterly subservient to the wielder of the "Yin Yang Fish!"

Wang Hui couldn't help but think that if employed wisely, this artifact could spawn monstrous abominations, making it an unstoppable weapon in the feudal society!

How could the three clans remain locked in stalemate?

Pondering this, Wang Hui turned to the girl respectfully kneeling before him and inquired,

"Which clan do you belong to? Has no one ever utilized the Yin Yang Fish before?"

He spoke in the language of the miniature world, a gift of memory bestowed by the relic.

"Zuo Qiu… I am Yue of the Zuo Qiu Clan!"

Zuo Qiu Yue responded promptly, her voice quivering slightly as she suppressed her anxiety.

"Honorable deity, to my knowledge, none of the three clans have ever attained the recognition of the sacred relic… the Yin Yang Fish!"

She dared not question Wang Hui's identity.

Having descended in response to the call of the sacred relic, his appearance and demeanor starkly contrasted with the three clans—what else could he be but a divine being?

"Hmm."

Wang Hui nodded slightly.

Perhaps the natives of this miniature world were unable to wield the sacred relic, or maybe the three clans lacked the proper methods.

In any case, with the relic now in his grasp, he would certainly accept it!

"I shall take the Yin Yang Fish. In exchange, you may make one request."

Wang Hui chose not to correct Zuo Qiu Yue's address.

If he so desired, he could upend the glass dome and wreak havoc at will, leaving the miniature world in ruins!

To its diminutive inhabitants, he bore little difference from a "god."

As he spoke, Wang Hui's gaze drifted around.

The Huyan cavalry, observing from a distance, became flustered, eager to turn their steeds and flee, yet wary of provoking this formidable figure.

The recent fate of the bald man and his steed, reduced to ashes, was not a fate they wished to experience…

"I…"

Zuo Qiu Yue hesitated.

Seeing her uncertainty, the guard behind her knelt forward, indignantly whispering,

"Lady Yue! Those Huyan scoundrels have so humiliated you; please, let the divine one annihilate them all!"

Zuo Qiu Yue felt a stirring of inclination but swiftly dismissed the thought.

She bowed deeply before Wang Hui, imploring,

"Divine One, I beseech you to protect the Zuo Qiu Clan for twenty years!"

"Oh?"

Wang Hui regarded her with surprise.

He could see that Zuo Qiu Yue and her companions were indeed encircled, making it a reasonable request for assistance.

Yet he had not expected the girl to remain so composed.

Intrigued, Wang Hui asked, "Why twenty years? Surely, you could have requested a longer span."

In the real world, one minute equated to a full day in this miniature realm.

Thus, twenty years here amounted to merely about five days in the outside world, a trivial matter to him.

"Twenty years is sufficient for me to fully mature, to allow the Zuo Qiu Clan to recuperate and prepare for vengeance against the Huyan Clan."

Zuo Qiu Yue lifted her somewhat youthful face, stealing a glance at Wang Hui before promptly lowering her eyes.

"My father once taught me that excessive greed leads to one's downfall.

I seek the deity's protection for the Zuo Qiu Clan, not to invite disaster!"

At her words, Wang Hui couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration.

Humans are indeed the most intelligent of beings; even the denizens of this miniature world possess remarkable wisdom.

"You and your father are wise individuals; this request…"

As he spoke, Wang Hui raised the Yin Yang Fish, pointing with intent at a small lizard crawling along the riverbank!

"Hiss… hiss…"

The tiny creature shrieked in panic, unable to escape the invisible force that propelled it onto the back of a Huyan warhorse.

With a dull thud, black and white energies swirled, and the warhorse underwent a dramatic transformation!

Its once-smooth surface rapidly sprouted scales, claws replaced hooves, and its tail elongated, covered in scales.

At a glance, it resembled a mythical creature!

"Hiyah—"

The newly born entity reared up, letting out a long cry, sending the Huyan cavalryman tumbling off its back unceremoniously.

As the horse's tail lashed wildly, the rider was brutally struck in midair, his bones shattered, falling to the ground like a ragdoll!

"Monster… run… run!"

This scene shattered the morale of the remaining Huyan warriors as they screamed and spurred their horses to flee.

Wang Hui paid no heed to the panicked souls, turning to the newly emerged creature beside him, stating in a solemn tone:

"From this moment forth, you shall be known as Longma, to protect the Zuo Qiu Yue Clan on my behalf. Do you understand?"

"Hiyah… hiyah…"

Longma cast a glance at the astonished and anxious Zuo Qiu Yue, appearing somewhat reluctant.

Yet to it, Wang Hui, the wielder of the Yin Yang Fish, was akin to an unchallengeable creator, forcing it to nod in understanding.

As Longma approached Zuo Qiu Yue, its demeanor shifted to one of pride, as if to say: O humble mortal, will you not kneel and express gratitude for the divine gift?
