The moment she made this decision, she knew what she agreed to. Taking on such a heavy task, all she thought about was that she would be able to save Jack and make him return to his former form. He will become a being who will begin to regret his actions and, despite the loss of his wings, will manage to get rid of his bad emotions. She was full of hope that she would be able to make him remember the former feelings he had for her and love her again.
She knew how hard the road ahead was, especially as Jack became even more evil and diabolical, but she was the only being who could help him. An angel who was able to stop him and make him turn back before someone else annihilated him. She realized that the Archangels were also looking for another way to stop him, but for now, she was their only hope.
She had to stop him before they came up with another way.
Standing before the Archangels, she swore her allegiance to them, and that she would do everything in her power to take care of Jack.
They warned her that the fallen angel was more dangerous than usual, and she had to watch out for him so he wouldn't hurt her.
She wondered how Jack would react when he saw her. From what she heard he got mad after her death and she didn't know for what reason. Was it because he wasn't the one who killed her that he wanted so badly, or did old feelings resurface in him and by the time he realized it, it was too late?
- What are you going to do now? - Henry asked, sitting down next to Alison in a meadow full of flowers. For a split second, she glanced at him and shrugged her shoulders. She had absolutely no idea where to start. She had a goal to accomplish, but no plan.
- When I agreed to this, I thought it would be easy, but the more I think about it the more anxious I am. It's difficult, you know? I still love him, and I don't know what to expect from him.
- Are you afraid? It's normal. Jack is powerful, stronger than us. You don't mean to hurt him, but you know that when the moment comes you will have to do it. You agreed to become an angel again. Furthermore, you must keep your word, Alison. The archangels were very favorable toward you anyway. Not everyone gets such a chance. You should be grateful to them," Henry said, and the Angeles hid her head between her knees, her hands embracing her legs.
- I hope I won't regret my hasty decision. I was given only a moment and could not even think about it. The worst part is that I suddenly wanted to be an angel again, without thinking about Jack and the fact that I would have to hurt him. That would be the last thing I would do. He may hate me and desire to see my pain, but I wouldn't bear it if I had to hurt him," she replied, lifting her head and pushing back her thick hair. She looked to the side and looked at Henry's face. - I envy you that you remained faithful and did not fall in love with any angelic woman. My love with Jack was doomed from the beginning. This is a punishment for the way we acted.
- Do you regret it? If you could turn back time, would you change anything? Would you do everything to make sure that between you and Jack this would not happen? - Henry asked, and she immediately shook her head.
- I don't regret ever falling in love with him. He is the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me, and I would never change that. We have incredible memories tied to each other, and all the bad moments I just try to erase from my memory.
- You indeed give him unbelievable affection. It's just a pity that in the process you have to suffer so much," he whispered, looking ahead. The girl smiled slightly and propped her hand on her cheek.
- People would say that he is a really lucky man because most of them are not faithful to another person.
- That's true," Henry replied, after which there was a longer silence. Alison lay down on the grass and squinted her eyes, as she was discouraged by the sun's rays. She raised her hand, protecting herself from the glaring light.
- I missed it. I missed the human world.
- Although you didn't spend much time in Purgatory, you felt perfectly the gloomy aura and gloom there, didn't you? Even though you were there for such a short time, several months have passed on earth. Time definitely gets long there," Henry announced, and she nodded.
She smiled, feeling a pleasant warmth. It was summer, and the last time she had been on earth it had been a cold winter.
- What kind of person was I as a person? I don't remember anything about it because Jack took away my memories of that period. - With this question she surprised the angel.
- Although you were not brave, you tried to be so. Besides, from the very beginning you got on my nerves because you didn't listen to what I said to you and did everything your own way, and because of this, there was only trouble because of you," he replied, and she sensed a hint of anger in his voice. Just as she had hated Henry before, she was now becoming more and more convinced of him. He was dedicated in his role as guardian of the heavens, and besides, she could consider him a great companion.
- I've always wondered what secret this town hides, since it's the only place on earth where we can appear and behave like humans. Haven't you ever wondered that? - She asked, looking at him. The angel just shrugged his shoulders, too uninterested in the answer behind the question.
- Only the Archangels know this, but I don't think they mentioned it to anyone. And you'd better not ask them about it," he turned to her, seeing her gaze. She smiled broadly as he discovered her intentions rapidly.

She doubted that appearing in the center of the town would make her feel so good. She missed this place, and even more the moments from her memories when she walked these streets with Jack, enjoying every moment spent with him. How much she would give to return to those times when their only concern was to hide well and that no one would discover what they had in common.
She didn't even realize when her feet led her on their own to a deserted alley where there was a photo salon once run by George. It housed many of the photos he used to take of her and Jack. He loved photographing them, but his beloved Alison was angry that he was all about her. He was jealous, although he understood she didn't see the world outside of him, so it calmed him down.
- Why did you come here? - Henry asked, and the angelica's attention was drawn to a picture on display. She put her hand to the glass, longing to touch the photograph. Instantly, she moved inside to take it in her hand, and Henry looked around anxiously to see if by chance anyone had noticed her. A grimace of displeasure appeared on his face, then he shook his head. - An inconsiderate angel. As a human she caused problems, so with powers she is even worse," he muttered to himself, throwing the girl a furious look. However, she paid no attention to Henry, busy looking at the photo she and Jack were in.
She ran her finger over the black-and-white photograph, then pressed it to her heart.
- My love for you is so strong that I can't stop loving you.
She should have already sensed his presence, but she was too absorbed in looking at the photo, so she didn't even pay attention to the fact that there was someone else in the living room. The fallen angel came out of the darkness, and Henry only then noticed him through the glass. He wanted to move into the room, but was unable to because Jack had put on protection. As a dark angel, he was stronger than them, so Henry's struggles were in vain. He couldn't get inside.
Although on the one hand she felt irresistible joy to see him, on the other hand she was concerned because she had no idea what was going through his mind.
- Jack," she whispered, looking at his handsome face. She missed this view so much. She felt like touching him, hugging and kissing him, but she couldn't do anything. He was not her beloved, he was not the same Jack. He hated her now.
- So it was true after all. You have become an angel again," he spoke up with contempt in his voice, and she took a step back as he began to walk toward her. His gaze was dangerous, yet it had an incredible effect on her. She would do anything to be most important to him again. - I wonder what you did to get them to agree to this. Last time you turned me in to avoid punishment and become a man, so what did you come up with this time?
He was dangerously close, and yet she felt no danger. She was able to endure anything as long as she could feel his proximity.
- Do you still taste the same? - He whispered, leaning over her. She felt his sweet breath, and now she wanted nothing more than to kiss her beloved. His presence was making her lose control. She thought of nothing else but to taste him again.
Jack gently brushed her lips, then fell into them greedily, his hand supporting her at the waist. A sly smile appeared on his face as he pressed her against the wall, being more and more insistent in what he was doing.
- Let's see how naughty you can be," he whispered in her ear, laughing cheekily. And just then she came to her senses. After all, that's what he meant.
She tried to push him away, but he held her even tighter, not intending to let go. She tried to use her power, but Jack was smarter, and before she could do so, he blocked her. Although she wanted nothing more than what he was doing now, she couldn't let him lead her into sin right from the start.
- You are hopeless," he hissed as he let go of Alison. - You tasted better when you were human. It's apparent that at least then you liked a little madness. - He sat down on a chair, not taking his eyes off her.
- Let me out of here," she ordered him, holding back tears. Even though she knew how he had behaved for a long time, it still hurt her. She couldn't get over it. There were no feelings in him, only a desire to feed on someone else's hurt. He no longer cared about Alison at all, instead he wanted to watch her suffer. He found it amusing.
- You're not leaving here until you tell me what you've done that makes you an angel again. I'm incredibly curious about that," he replied, leaning on his elbow and watching her carefully. - Because I doubt that you are their favorite, angel.
He knew perfectly well how she loved it when he called her that, but now he said the word with clear disgust in his voice.
Henry kept trying to get inside, which extremely amused as well as irritated Jack.
Alison was afraid that eventually he would not be able to stand it and cause him harm.
- What do you think I could have done? Do you think I would have been able to make a deal with Archangel? He would sooner send me to hell than listen to me. It was their decision, so I have no idea what is on their minds," she lied, but Jack did not believe her. A crooked smile appeared on his face. He threw the brunette an angry look, and she sensed that he was getting angrier and angrier.
- Angel, you shouldn't lie. I can see when you are not telling the truth. I know you inside out," he stated, rising from his chair. - This is just the beginning of our game, so today I will forgive you, but who knows what kind of mood I will have at the next meeting.
He disappeared instantly, which was taken advantage of by Henry, who immediately appeared by her side.
- I really don't know what he was doing here. He was the last person I expected," she turned to the angel, looking at him with clear shock on her face.
- Maybe he was also looking for memories here?
- What?
- It seems to me that there is still a chance to save him. You can do it, but it won't be an easy task. Do you think you can do it, Alison? - He asked, with which he surprised her. On what basis did he infer this? - I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think some part of him also misses you.
