Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

I knew it—I jinxed myself. Typical. What the hell am I even doing here? Why this novel, and why the 50th year? For fuck's sake, the timeline doesn't even start for another 15 years. The protagonist is three years old right now!

Sure, being part of the Lionheart family isn't bad—they're one of the top 12 supreme families in the human domain. But I have no clue how I'm going to survive. Where's my system? Am I supposed to get it when I awaken? AHHHHHHH, why did it have to be this novel?

This stupid story is called Advent of the Fire God Mage. The protagonist is born with an SSS-class fire mage, but during his awakening, it's misranked as F. Everyone thinks he's weak, but he's secretly overpowered. Then he goes around clearing dungeons, fighting in the abyss, and basically being a one-man army.

With the usual plot armor and protagonist luck, he gets crazy items, befriends every powerful woman in the younger generation, stumbles upon a fire dragon bloodline, and becomes even more overpowered. Sounds cool, right? But here's the problem:

While the protagonist is godlike, the rest of the world is useless.

The author wrote him as one of only 13 SSS-class individuals in the entire world, yet everyone else—other SSS, SS, or even S-classes—just stands around and looks at him like he's a god. Like, bruh, what are you doing?

Sure, the protagonist breaks records, clears abyss rifts, and becomes a legend, but the abyss keeps getting stronger. Humanity can't rely on one guy to save them. And the other SSS-class individuals? They just guard the rifts like glorified babysitters. No counterattacks, no teamwork—nothing. And don't get me started on the other races living on this planet. They're just background characters who watch the protagonist do all the work.

It's frustrating. The story hints at an apocalyptic ending, always asking if the protagonist will be enough to save the world. But how could he be? He's surrounded by one of the strongest generations ever—full of S and SS-classes—but the author makes everyone else look weak for the sake of his OP protagonist.

And now I'm stuck in this mess.

"Next, Ace Lionheart!"

The booming command snapped me out of my inner turmoil. I looked around and noticed the sea of hostile faces, especially from the audience. Guessing they're family members who hate me.

Oh right, the Lionheart family. They're a noble house known for their melee and knight-based classes, which makes sense with their name. They're one of the good families—noble in the public eye, known for helping people, and even backing the protagonist later in the novel. The patriarch is close to the protagonist's parents, so they protect him.

But here's the catch: the family is obsessed with pride and reputation. Outwardly noble, sure, but internally? Extreme pressure to be perfect. One of the female leads is from this family, and her constant inner monologues about honor and reputation drove me crazy.

The family casts out anyone who doesn't fit their "acceptable" criteria. And now, here I am, hoping my class doesn't get me kicked out.

Classes in this world are everything. There are bloodlines, items, and game-breaking abilities—it's like an RPG where anything can happen. The author loved saying, "Anyone can be powerful with the right opportunity." Sure, buddy, but only the protagonist and a handful of named characters ever got those opportunities.

They say your class is shaped by the first 18 years of your behavior and habits. That's why upper-class families are so strict, to guide their children into strong classes. Guessing my 18 years didn't lead anywhere good.

With those thoughts swirling in my head, I made my way to the platform.

"Place your hand on the awakening stone. You may share your class and skills, but we only need to see your class and potential. Good luck, boy. Hopefully, this isn't bad for you—because you know the consequences."

"Yes, Elder."

I smirked and placed my hand on the stone. A surge of energy flooded through me.

What the hell is this? A gigolo? And potential F?! I'm screwed.

"Ace Lionheart. Class: Gigolo. Potential: F," the elder announced, his tone dripping with disappointment.

As I glanced around, I saw the reactions. Some were holding in laughter, others smirking or openly mocking me. The elders' faces burned with anger and embarrassment, while a few young women looked oddly… downcast?

So much for being a playboy. Why am I a gigolo?

I stepped down from the platform, ignoring the stares. The ceremony continued, but I already knew how this would end.

As soon as it was over, I was summoned to the family's judgment hall.

They'd decide my future—and I had a bad feeling about it.

But where the hell was my system? I didn't even have that to save me. All I got was a sudden rush of this body's previous memories, and after sorting through them, one thing became painfully clear:

I'm fucked.
