Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

The Great Hall was a sight to behold, its walls adorned with flickering torches and enchanted ceilings. The Sorting Hat's song filled the air, its whimsical tune echoing through the grand room. As Elias took his seat, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation.

When his turn came, he stepped forward, the weight of the Sorting Hat heavy on his head. As the hat delved into his mind, it encountered a complex tapestry of thoughts and memories. Elias, with his keen intellect and thirst for knowledge, had carefully crafted a mental illusion, a half-truth that would guide the hat's decision.

"A mind both ancient and young," the hat mused aloud, its voice echoing in Elias's mind. "A thirst for knowledge, a hunger for truth. A heart that yearns for wisdom."

With a final, decisive thought, the hat announced, "RAVENCLAW!"

A cheer erupted from the Ravenclaw table, and Elias made his way to his new house. He was greeted by a group of curious students, their eyes sparkling with intelligence and excitement.

"Welcome to Ravenclaw, newt," said a tall, bespectacled boy with a sharp wit. "I'm Quentin, and these are my friends, Anya and Thomas."

Anya, a petite girl with a love for astronomy, smiled warmly at Elias. "It's nice to meet you," she said. "I hope you'll enjoy your time here."

Thomas, a bookish boy with a passion for history, nodded in agreement. "Ravenclaw is the perfect place for a mind like yours," he said.

As the feast began, Elias mingled with his new housemates, learning about their interests and aspirations. He discovered that Ravenclaw was a house of diverse talents, from potion-making to herbology to ancient runes.

After dinner, Elias followed the crowd of first-years to the Ravenclaw Tower. They ascended a winding staircase, solving a series of riddles to gain entry. Once inside, they were greeted by a cozy common room, filled with bookshelves, comfortable armchairs, and a grand fireplace.

Elias was assigned a room with three other boys: Quentin, Thomas, and a quiet, introspective boy named Alistair. They spent the rest of the evening getting to know each other and discussing their hopes for the year ahead.

As Elias drifted off to sleep, he couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging. Ravenclaw was the perfect place for him, a haven for curious minds and ambitious souls.
