After that issue, I begun to trust Luke more.
Today, as I came down, I saw Luke holding a nice bouquet of roses, and my mom standing by him with a cake. May too came.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!",They shouted.
I was astonished, how did they remember. I had even forgotten about it , I was sure it was Luke's plan.
"Oh my God, guys", I said going to hug them.
"Thank you so much",I said smiling as I took the flowers from Luke's hands.
"Happy Birthday, beauty",he said as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.
This was my sixteenth birthday. Yep, I was pretty young then, because I had skipped a class and was in my second year, going to my third year.
I had to go to school after that small surprise. It had been a while seems I celebrated my birthday, the last time was when my ...Dad was alive.
"I never told you my birth date",I said as he took me to school.
"Well, I just happen to see it somewhere",he said.
"And last time, how did you know where to find me",I asked again.
"I know a lot about you than you think",was his reply.
"Oh, so you used to follow me around before we met",I said suspiciously.
"I wouldn't say that",he tried to avoid.
School was as it had always been, but after school was different.
"Since today is your birthday, I take you to a party",Luke said. I turned to look at him.
"You know I don't like parties",I replied.
"This party will be different from what you know. It's my favorite party spot. Let's go and you can't say no",he said, pulling me away.
When we arrived, the building was quiet.
"This does not seem like a party place",I said looking at him. He smiled.
"That because the party is not here,"he said pointing at the building.
"It's in there",he said pointing at the floor.
"Wait, it's underground",I asked surprised.
"Let's go ",he said smiling.
"I can't go into this creepy place with you",I said backing away.
"Come on, trust me",he said. The way he said it made me give in.
The place was truly amazing, with all the noise, I was wondering how it couldn't be heard from outside.
It was magical. We danced, ate and sung together. Afterwards we got a table, the place was somewhat old-fashioned, but really entertaining. And Luke had a couple of friends there too.
"I also brought you here so that we could talk, there is still a lot I don't know about you",he said after we had settled down.
"There's nothing much to know, I'm just a girl with only one parent ,and a super boring life",I said with a laugh trying to cover up my sadness.
"I don't see your life to be boring, you're just sort of unhappy, that's all",he said looking at me.
Talking about these things really gets me nervous. I saw some drinks passing by and I took one. Oh no, it's alcoholic, this is my first tasting this, but it seemed to help.
"You shouldn't drink that",he said trying to take it away.
"No, it's fine. And I'm not unhappy",I said.
"Since I saw you, you've always seemed so, I guess you are, you just don't want to accept it",he said with caring eyes.
"You have an unhappy life too",I said feeling drowsy.
"No, mine is just boring, but yours is unhappy",he said. The way he keeps saying the "unhappy",makes me annoyed.
