During break ,I decided to stay in class again but this time determined to ignore him if he came in . I don't know how he is able to skip all his friends to be able to come back but, he does.
I was in class when he walked in ,then sat at his seat . I ignored him even though my heart was pounding fast, because I could feel his stares on me.
When he noticed I was ignoring him , he got up walked to me and...took a seat.. across from me ,still looking at me intently.
I froze, couldn't even raise my head to met those ocean eyes. All the courage I had gathered up to remain seated, all gone.
He was silent for a while before he spoke up.
"Since we're doing the project together , I'll need your number",he said bluntly still looking at me.
Is he just asking for my number, I thought to myself.
It took a while to reply to him since I was shocked, but it just for the project so , I gave it to him. Then he texted me to be sure. Yet after that he didn't leave just sat there until I finally spoke up.
"Don't you have something else to do?",I asked him still refusing to look at him.
With that he got up, glanced at me before leaving . I sighed in relief, that was so close , he was sitting across from me so close.
My heart felt like it was about to jump out of my chest, but remembering my mom's words ,I pushed the feeling aside and focused again.
Later, May walked in and invited me to have lunch with them and I left with her.
We were starting to become good friends and I was happy about that.
After arriving home after school and finishing my work ,I lay on my bed chatting with May about stuffs and was about to doze of when I received a message from an unknown number .
"Hi ,it's Luke",it read
LUKE!!! , I came down before I replied .
"Hi",I texted.
"When do we start our project", he asked
"Tomorrow or the day after",I responded not sure.
"Fine ,see you tomorrow",he said
"Okay",I replied still surprised and yet glad he texted just to ask for that and nothing else.
It is better to ignore him , finish the project andjust focus on studies from now onwards even though it is not easy. I still like him , but I have to focus for my mom .
Then I went to bed.
