Chapter 2 - The Candidate God of Destruction vs The Disciple of the Strongest Angel

Nasu stepped forward confidently, a cocky grin etched on his face. Without hesitation, he unleashed a flurry of rapid punches aimed at Toppo's face and torso. However, the Pride Trooper barely flinched. He blocked each blow with minimal movement, as if dealing with a mere amateur.

Nasu's brow furrowed briefly, but his smile quickly returned. He leaped back, regaining some distance, and crossed his arms.

"Is that all you've got?" Toppo said, his deep voice betraying not a hint of concern.

Nasu laughed arrogantly. "Just warming up, old man. Now I'll show you what a true Saiyan can do."

With a roar that reverberated throughout the arena, Nasu focused his energy. His hair began to spike up as his power surged. Blue lightning crackled around him, illuminating the stage with an electrifying glow. The transformation to **Super Saiyan 2** was complete. His golden aura intensified, charged with electricity, creating shockwaves that made the arena tremble. Nearby rocks floated briefly before crumbling under the pressure of the released energy. Even some spectators from other universes looked on in awe.

Toppo remained still, though one eyebrow raised slightly, a sign that Nasu's transformation had caught his attention.

Without giving Toppo a chance to react, Nasu launched himself forward like a golden lightning bolt. His right fist crashed into the Universe 11 warrior's abdomen, sending him skidding several meters back. The impact resounded like thunder, and the ground cracked beneath Toppo's feet.

However, Toppo quickly regained his footing, brushing dust off his uniform. "Not bad, kid. But it won't be enough."

Nasu grinned again. "Then it's my turn to test you."

The fight escalated in the blink of an eye. Nasu advanced with a spinning kick aimed at Toppo's face, which the latter blocked with his forearm. The force of the clash created a flash of energy that pushed back nearby debris. Toppo responded with a straight punch to Nasu's chest, which the Saiyan barely dodged by leaning to the side, feeling the cutting wind of the blow.

Nasu seized the opening to connect a series of rapid strikes: one to the side, another to the chin, and finally a high kick that Toppo blocked by raising his forearm at the last second. But the Saiyan didn't let up.

"Take this!" he yelled, concentrating ki in his fist and launching a downward punch that struck the ground as Toppo dodged. The arena burst into fragments, creating a sizable crater and sending dust in all directions.

Toppo, now serious, unleashed a powerful barrage of punches in quick succession. The first struck Nasu's stomach, making him spit saliva, and the next hit his shoulder, sending him flying backward. Nasu barely managed to land on his feet, panting as a drop of blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

"Not bad, old timer," he said, laughing as he wiped his mouth.

Toppo didn't respond, simply advancing towards him like a titan, his steps resounding heavily on the shattered arena.

Both warriors clashed again. Nasu opted to dodge more this time, using his increased speed as a Super Saiyan 2 to evade Toppo's brutal attacks. However, he couldn't dodge everything. A right hook struck his side, tearing part of his clothing and sending him crashing into a column of rubble. The blow shook Nasu's body, but his Saiyan spirit forced him to stand.

"You haven't seen anything yet!" he roared, raising his ki once more as golden lightning illuminated his aura again.

The exchange continued, with blows and counterblows that shattered the arena, leaving craters and debris everywhere. The fight was intense, a demonstration of a Saiyan's pride and indomitable will against the unwavering justice of a warrior like Toppo.

Both ended up panting.

In the stands, the deities of Universe 10 watched with a mix of anticipation and concern. Ruumosh, the God of Destruction, leaned forward, his eyes narrowed.

"That brat is in over his head," he grumbled. "Toppo is on a whole different level."

Kus, the angelic attendant, smiled softly. "Don't underestimate Nasu, Lord Ruumosh. He's young, but his potential is vast. This fight will push him to grow."

On the other side of the arena, Goku of Universe 7 observed the battle with excitement. "Man, that kid's got spirit! Reminds me of myself when I was younger."

Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, scoffed. "Spirit alone won't be enough against Toppo. That Saiyan boy is outmatched."

Goku grinned. "I don't know, Lord Beerus. Sometimes, being backed into a corner is when we Saiyans shine the brightest."

In the Universe 11 section, Vermoud, the God of Destruction, watched with a critical eye. "Toppo is holding back," he remarked. "He could end this in an instant if he wanted to."

Marcarita, his angelic attendant, nodded. "Indeed. But perhaps he sees the potential in the young Saiyan. This fight is a test of Nasu's resolve."

Back in the arena, Nasu smiled as he brought his fingers together, forming a gun shape. At the tip of his fingers, a small, bright blue ball began to form, compact and charged with intense ki. He aimed directly at Toppo, who observed him with a cautious expression.

"Bang."

With that word, the ball shot out at an astonishing speed, impacting directly on Toppo's chest. The Pride Trooper crossed his arms and managed to block, but the impact was strong enough to push him back, his feet leaving deep marks in the arena.

"Bang, bang, bang," Nasu repeated, firing more of those small spheres, each as fast and powerful as the first. Toppo dodged several, but some reached him, forcing him to retreat. The last ball exploded near his shoulder, tearing off a piece of his cape.

"Enough games, boy!" Toppo growled, launching into an attack.

Toppo responded with larger, more potent ki balls, which Nasu dodged with swift, precise movements. However, one of them exploded near his side, sending him staggering. Toppo seized the opening to appear in front of him and deliver an elbow directly to the face. Nasu barely managed to block part of the impact with his forearm, but he was still thrown back.

Toppo didn't give him time to recover and caught him in a bear hug, squeezing with all his might. Nasu felt his bones creak under the pressure.

"Surrender!" Toppo demanded, squeezing harder.

Nasu, his face contorted in pain, closed his eyes and concentrated his energy. His golden aura began to change. His hair grew down to his waist, and his expression became more severe. More intense electrical sparks crackled around him as his power increased exponentially.

With a roar that shook the entire coliseum, Nasu transformed into **Super Saiyan 3**. His new aura was massive, undulating, and dense, like a golden storm charged with lightning. The ground beneath his feet shattered, and the air around him seemed to vibrate from the pressure of his energy.

Toppo released him, stepping back slightly, surprised by the power increase.

"What the hell is your limit, Saiyan?" Toppo growled.

Nasu grinned, regaining his arrogant attitude. "I'm still far from it."

Ruumosh's eyes widened. "He's pushed himself to Super Saiyan 3? Incredible!"

Kus nodded, a hint of pride in her voice. "Nasu's potential is starting to shine through. But will it be enough?"

Goku's excitement grew. "Now we're talking! That kid's power is skyrocketing!"

Beerus frowned. "It's impressive, but Toppo still outclasses him. This fight won't last much longer."

Vermoud leaned back, a slight smirk on his face. "Toppo, finish this. Show the boy the true power of a God of Destruction candidate."

Marcarita glanced at her lord. "Patience, Lord Vermoud. This fight serves a purpose beyond mere victory or defeat."

Nasu formed his "Bang" technique again, firing a barrage of blue projectiles. Toppo dodged several, disappearing and reappearing with speed, but this time, Nasu combined his shots with physical blows. He appeared in front of Toppo and connected a punch to his abdomen, causing the Pride Trooper to double over slightly. However, Toppo responded with a low kick that Nasu blocked with difficulty, though the impact pushed him back.

Both warriors exchanged blows at an incredible speed, each impact resounding like thunder in the arena. Nasu managed to land a knee strike to Toppo's side, followed by an uppercut to the chin, forcing him to take a few steps back. But Toppo, enraged, retaliated with an energy-charged punch that Nasu barely dodged, allowing the blow to destroy a large portion of the arena.

"Your movements...!" Toppo thought as he blocked a direct punch to the face. "This boy... this is angelic training."

Nasu grinned, noticing the doubt in his opponent. "Getting tired already, old man?"

Toppo responded with a serious look. "It's time to end this."

Toppo's aura intensified, a purple and red glow enveloping him as he unleashed more of his divine energy. His next strike was brutal: a punch to Nasu's torso that sent him flying like a projectile into a nearby rock, shattering it on impact. Nasu lost his Super Saiyan 3 form, falling to the ground panting, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

With difficulty, he stood up. "Not bad... But now I'm really getting warmed up."

His hair flashed golden again as he reached Super Saiyan 1, though his power began to increase even further. The arena around him started to tremble once more.

"Push me to the limit, and I'll surpass it," he declared, aiming his fingers again.

Toppo shook his head. "The gap between us is too great. You're too arrogant, boy."

Nasu smiled at the comment and transformed back into Super Saiyan 3, his ki rising to almost unbearable levels. But he didn't stop there. His body trembled as he forced his energy, trying to reach a new level: **Super Saiyan Blue**. Golden and blue lightning intertwined in his aura, creating a pressure that began to damage the battlefield.

"Here and now... I'll achieve it!" he shouted, his voice echoing throughout the arena as he increased his power more and more.

Toppo watched with a mixture of astonishment and frustration. "Stop! You don't know what you're doing!"

But before the climax of the confrontation could be decided, a blinding light engulfed both combatants. The **Grand Priest** appeared, halting the fight with a simple wave of his hand.

"Enough. This match is over."

The arena fell into complete silence, save for the panting of Nasu and Toppo, both exhausted but still willing to continue if not for the divine intervention.

Ruumosh leaned back, a mix of relief and disappointment on his face. "That reckless brat. He was pushing himself too far."

Kus smiled softly. "But he showed us a glimpse of his true potential. With proper training and guidance, Nasu could become a force to be reckoned with."

Goku grinned, his eyes shining with excitement. "What a fight! That kid's got a lot of room to grow. I can't wait to see how strong he becomes!"

Beerus sighed. "He's still leagues below you and Toppo, Goku. But I'll admit, the boy has potential."

Vermoud frowned, his arms crossed. "Toppo, you held back too much. You should have ended it sooner."

Marcarita placed a gentle hand on her lord's arm. "It was necessary, Lord Vermoud. This fight was a valuable lesson for young Nasu. He has tasted the power of a true divine warrior and knows the heights he must reach."

As the Grand Priest's declaration echoed through the arena, Nasu and Toppo stood facing each other, their bodies battered but their spirits unbroken. They had tested each other's limits, pushing themselves to the brink, and in doing so, they had caught a glimpse of the vast potential that lay within.

For Nasu, this fight was a humbling experience, a reminder that there were warriors far beyond his current level. But it was also a spark, igniting a fire within him to train harder, to grow stronger, and to one day surpass the limits that bound him.

As the dust settled and the adrenaline began to subside, Toppo approached Nasu, his expression a mixture of respect and determination. "Good fight, Saiyan," he said, his deep voice carrying a hint of admiration. "You have great potential, and while I hold no ill will towards you and admire your formidable skills as a warrior, it doesn't change the fact that in the Tournament of Power, we will be rivals."

Nasu waved his hand dismissively, a cocky grin on his face. "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Mr. Mustache."

Goku, unable to contain his excitement, leaped down into the arena, his eyes shining with enthusiasm. "That was incredible, Nasu!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine praise. "In your Super Saiyan 2 form, you were already much stronger than Majin Buu and Gohan."

Nasu, basking in the acknowledgment of his power, nodded confidently. "That's because I perfected both Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3. I thought they were the limit, but after seeing Super Saiyan Blue, it's clear to me that I still have a lot to learn."

Goku's smile widened, his anticipation palpable. "Let's face each other in the Tournament of Power, Nasu. I can't wait to see what you're truly capable of!"

Nasu returned the grin, clasping Goku's hand in a firm handshake. "I'm dying for that chance, Son Goku. Let's give it our all and see who comes out on top."

The Grand Priest, his voice resonating through the arena, announced that the Tournament of Power would commence in a mere 40 hours. The revelation sent a ripple of surprise through the gathered warriors and deities.

Nasu's eyes widened, a flicker of concern crossing his features. "So soon?" he muttered, the reality of the impending battle sinking in.

Kus, turning to Ruumosh, voiced her own apprehension. "I thought we would have more time, Lord Ruumosh. With such a short window, I won't be able to train Nasu adequately."

Ruumosh, his expression grim, shook his head. "He'll have to grow stronger during the tournament itself. There's no other choice."

Kus sighed, her brows furrowed in contemplation. "Still, I never expected there to be such powerful individuals in other universes. I honestly considered Nasu to be one of the mightiest in the multiverse, but seeing Goku and Toppo has proven otherwise."

Toppo, overhearing their conversation, approached Nasu once more. "By the way, Saiyan," he said, his tone serious, "I just want to warn you that I'm not the strongest in my universe."

Nasu's eyes widened, a hint of tension creeping into his posture. "What?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Toppo nodded solemnly. "That title belongs to my friend, Jiren. He is a hundred times stronger than I am."

Nasu let out a deep sigh, disbelief etched on his face. "You've got to be kidding me," he muttered, the weight of the revelation pressing down on him.

As the hours ticked by, Nasu found himself back on the Sacred World of the Kais, his mind consumed by the impending tournament. He sat cross-legged, his eyes closed in deep meditation, as Kus stood by his side, her voice filled with urgency.

"We're racing against the clock, Nasu," she said, her tone firm yet encouraging. "We only have a few hours left for you to master divine ki."

Nasu's brows furrowed, a hint of frustration in his voice. "Why didn't you teach me this before, Kus?"

Kus, her expression apologetic, explained, "I didn't think the Super Saiyan God form existed, so I planned to teach you divine ki when you were ready for Ultra Instinct training. I never anticipated the need for it so soon."

Gowasu, the Supreme Kai of Universe 10, approached them, his steps measured and his demeanor calm. "It seems that the fight with Toppo and meeting Son Goku has lit a fire within you, Nasu," he observed, a knowing smile on his aged face.

Kus nodded, a hint of pride in her voice. "It's exactly what little Nasu needed—a challenge to push him to new heights."

Ruumosh, the God of Destruction, materialized before them, his presence commanding attention. Gowasu turned to him, curiosity evident in his eyes. "How did it go, Lord Ruumosh? Were you able to gather the remaining nine warriors for our team?"

Ruumosh, his chest puffed out with confidence, declared, "Of course! I made sure to find the strongest fighters out there. This tournament is all about raw power and muscle!"

A heavy silence descended upon the group, the gravity of the situation settling in. Ruumosh, his expression growing somber, continued, "But even the mightiest among them pale in comparison to Nasu. They wouldn't even serve as decent training partners for him. And yet, there are warriors out there who surpass even Nasu's strength."

Kus, a hint of reproach in her voice, remarked, "If you had trained Nasu from the beginning, Lord Ruumosh, perhaps he would be stronger now."

Ruumosh, his eyes narrowing, retorted, "Don't put the blame on me, Kus! I had my reasons for not taking him under my wing."

Nasu, rising to his feet, his aura flaring with determination, interjected, "Don't worry about it. I will win this tournament, no matter what. Neither Goku, nor Toppo, nor this Jiren guy will be able to stop me. I'll show them the true power of a Saiyan from Universe 10!"

Kus, her mind racing with possibilities, proposed, "I have an idea, Nasu. I'll ask Chronoa if there's a way to train you in a short amount of time, perhaps through a challenging battle in another timeline. It might give you the edge you need."

Nasu, his shoulders slumping slightly, let out a sigh. "What a pain," he muttered, the prospect of intense training weighing on his mind.
