Jovana ran out of the tent, wanting to inform Falcon of the king's ploy, but she made it just in time to see the last of the horsemen disappearing into the forest.
The barking of hounds and the voices of the hunters yelling and laughing surrounded her in the foggy morning air. 'They are gone... I would never find Falcon in time, even with a horse. What should I do? I can't let the king murder him with no trial and no hope.' Jovana's thoughts raced as she felt her heart beating in her ears.
Tu-Tump. Tu-Tump. Tu-Tump.
It was growing hard to breathe, and her vision was becoming blurred. Jovana was incapable of forming words.
