Jovana shrugged as she answered, "This is what I do when you attack me from the shadows. I can tell when it's you."
Caspian grinned at her and said, "I'm sure I have already said this many times, but you truly are an impressive girl."
Jovana narrowed her eyes at the man. "Now, Caspian, why don't you tell me why you're interrupting the sanctity of the rituals?"
"Interrupting? I came here to help."
"Oh, of course. You came here to get your faith back," Jovana said with a roll of her eyes while Caspian grabbed a stool and sat right behind her. His hands slowly ran along her arms, finding her fingers and the clay that was soft in her hands.
"To see you, of course."
Jovana took a deep breath to keep control, but it was hard to maintain her focus when she could feel his warm breath on the back of her head. "Couldn't you have seen me later? Men are not allowed in here."
