Under the leadership of Juzo Biwa and Fuguki Suikazan, Yoruichi and his group arrived at a cave deep within the misty woods.
Fuguki, carrying the signature Kubikiribōchō on his back, turned respectfully toward Yoruichi. "Lord Yoruichi, we've searched thoroughly, and this is the location."
Juzo glanced at him and nodded slightly. It was only during their journey that the two realized who Yoruichi truly was. A survivor of the Senju clan—legends of the shinobi world.
"You've got the wrong idea," Yoruichi said with irritation. "I'm not a senju. Nobody goes by that name now, not even Tsunade or Nawaki. That era is long gone."
Fuguki and Juzo exchanged looks but kept silent.
Fuguki gestured toward the thick mist ahead. "This fog is clearly the result of the Hidden Mist Technique. Terumi Mei must be inside."
Yoruichi nodded. "Alright. Find her, and you can leave."
"Understood, Lord Yoruichi."
The two Mist ninja took the lead, cautiously entering the cave. As they moved, Yoruichi raised an eyebrow and asked, "You two don't have a way to dispel the Hidden Mist Technique?"
Fuguki scratched his head awkwardly. "Well… technically, it can be countered with Wind Release or Fire Release, but most Mist shinobi don't train in those elements."
Yoruichi sighed. "Typical."
"I've got it!" said Mikoto Uchiha, stepping forward confidently. "I'll use Fire Release!"
Everyone stepped aside as Mikoto began weaving hand seals.
Just as she was about to exhale flames into the cave, kunai suddenly shot out from the shadows within.
"Watch out!" Yoruichi moved instantly, pulling Mikoto back. Tree roots erupted from the ground behind them, shielding them from the barrage of kunai.
Mikoto looked at him with a hint of embarrassment. "Sorry, my reaction was too slow."
"It's fine," Yoruichi said casually. Then, he glanced at Juzo and Fuguki. "You two, get moving."
Reluctantly, Juzo and Fuguki pressed deeper into the cave. Before long, their voices echoed back.
"Lord Yoruichi, we've found her!"
They emerged moments later, dragging out Terumi Mei and her bodyguard Ao. Mei was clad in a luxurious blue dress, her face a mix of fear and defiance.
"What do you want?" Mei demanded, glaring at her captors.
Before anyone could respond, Mei suddenly inhaled sharply and exhaled a dense, acidic mist.
"Boil Release: Skilled Mist Technique!"
The mist burned Fuguki's face instantly, and he howled in agony. "You little—!" He raised his blade to strike her down.
But before he could act, Yoruichi appeared in a flash, his hand enveloped in crackling lightning. The screeching sound of a thousand birds filled the air.
"Chidori!"
Kakashi, who had been standing nearby, froze in shock. "That's my technique! When… when did he learn it?!"
Yoruichi didn't hesitate. With a swift motion, he drove the Chidori into Fuguki's chest, ending him instantly. Blood sprayed everywhere as Fuguki's headless body collapsed.
The sight left everyone stunned. Mikoto, Rin, and the other genin screamed in horror at the gruesome display.
"Ugh… it's so… bloody!"
The genin, still inexperienced in battle, fainted again. Even seasoned shinobi like Kakashi and Obito struggled to suppress their nausea.
Mei, trembling, could only stare at Yoruichi in disbelief.
"Don't make me regret saving you," Yoruichi said coldly, dragging her aside.
Juzo, seeing Fuguki's fate, panicked. "Yoruichi! I thought you said we could go!"
"I never said you'd leave alive," Yoruichi replied, smirking. "Kakashi, Obito, Rin. Handle him."
The three young shinobi hesitated, but Yoruichi's stern gaze left no room for argument.
Rin stepped forward first, her hands trembling as she threw a barrage of kunai and shuriken at Juzo.
"Haah!" she screamed, pushing through her fear.
The weapons struck Juzo, leaving him injured but still standing. "You brats think you can—"
Before he could finish, Kakashi dashed forward, his own Chidori lighting up the cave.
Blood splattered as Kakashi's strike hit its mark, though his shorter stature meant he struck Juzo's stomach rather than his chest.
Obito followed, roaring as he drove a kunai into Juzo's heart. The former Mist ninja collapsed, lifeless.
"Good work," Yoruichi said calmly, though his eyes carried a faint glimmer of approval.
Mei, still shaken, glanced at Yoruichi warily. "Who… who are you really?"
"We're Konoha's shinobi," Yoruichi replied nonchalantly. "And you're coming with us."
Ao, her loyal guard, protested. "Why are you taking us? What does Konoha want with us?!"
"Ask the Hokage when we get there," Yoruichi said dismissively, leading the group out of the cave.
The journey back was quiet, save for occasional chatter. Mikoto glanced at Obito, intrigued by his newly awakened Sharingan.
"You're from the Uchiha clan? How come I didn't know about you before?"
Obito blushed, scratching his head. "I, uh… guess I've been under the radar. But thanks to Yoruichi-sensei, I've improved a lot."
Yoruichi smirked. "Don't get cocky. You've got a long way to go."
As they reached the tazuna's bridge, the mist began to clear. The sight of the Land of Fire on the horizon brought relief to everyone.
"We're finally home," Rin said, smiling faintly.
But just as they reached the center of the bridge, Yoruichi stopped abruptly.
"What's wrong?" Mikoto asked, sensing his unease.
Yoruichi's eyes narrowed as the bridge began to tremble. Water erupted from below, forming massive columns that reached the sky.
A figure emerged from the chaos, his presence radiating a chilling aura.
"The Third Mizukage," Yoruichi muttered. "Of course."
Everyone braced themselves as the battle for survival began.
