Feng Mei Hiu woke up with a splitting headache, his head felt heavy and opening his eyes were a struggle.
"Oh! You're awake." A rough voice had him turning his head to his left side were he noticed a man sitting on a straight back chair uncomfortably, he rubbed his hair roughly and yawned as though he had just woken up.
Feng Mei Hiu's brain snapped awake quickly, memories of the car accident rushing into his mind, he took in his surroundings and noticed that he was in a hospital room.
The room was not as luxurious as his ward in Doctor Ling's hospital, but it wasn't bad either. The sound of the door closing and the hurried sounds of footsteps had him focusing back to reality.
The man was now in the company of a woman, a doctor if the white coat worn over her clothes was anything to go by, she was of average height and her pretty face wore a kind smile.
"How are you?" Feng Mei Hiu wanted to say he was fine, but his headache was persistent and his throat felt dry.
"Do you need water?" She seemed to notice the problem and Feng Mei Hiu nodded gratefully.
"Get him a glass of water Mr Richard." The doctor snapped at the man who hurried to pour a glass of water from the jug placed on the table.
"Thank you." Feng Mei Hiu's voice was raspy as he handed the empty glass to the doctor.
"How are you?" The doctor asked.
"I am fine, just a little sore with a bad headache." The doctor nodded at Feng Mei Hiu's reply.
"You were hit by a car, we couldn't find any means of identification or a way to contact your family on you," the doctor informed, "you have been unconscious for two days and while your wounds are only superficil, the scan we ran on you show's that you have suffered from a serious head injury before."
"Yes, I have." Feng Mei Hiu confirmed. "Can I be discharged today?"
"I wouldn't recommend that," the doctor frowned, "you should stay a couple more days, and if you're worried about the cost, don't worry Mr Richard has it all covered," she threw a glance over her shoulder at the man who was making a phone call close to the window in a hushed vocie, "it's the least he can do for running you over with a car." She smiled gently.
"I am not worried about the cost, hospitals make me anxious and I would prefer to be treated at home." It was not a lie, he had only tolerated his stay at L&M hospital because the room looked like a luxury hotel, "besides I have my own personal doctor."
"Who's this personal doctor of yours?" The doctor still wasn't convinced.
"Doctor Ling Sheng." The doctor gasped in astonishment. There was no one in the medical field who hadn't heard of Ling Sheng, the young doctor came from a lineage of renowned doctors and he was medical genius himself at such a youg age. He had written ground breaking medical theories while still in the university and she and been lucky to buy one of his books when they were still cheap, now they cost an arm and a leg.
"Ling Sheng?" She asked with skepticism wondering if Feng Mei Hiu was playing her.
"Yes, it's him." She nodded.
"Alright then, I will have your discharge papers prepared." She walked out of the room, clearly she still doubted Feng Mei Hiu, but decided it was no longer her business if he was lying or not.
"Umm, hello." Richard muttered awkwardly, now that the doctor had left an uncomfortable silence filled the room.
"Hello to you too, Mr Huang." Feng Mei Hiu smirked at the other man's astounded look.
"What? How do you know my last name?" Richard eyes him suspiciously.
Feng Mei Hiu did not have any personal dealings with Richard Huang in his past life but everybody in the entertainment industry knew of Richard and besides they were both in the same agency Glow. Richard had entered the entertainment world with big dreams of becoming the manager of a top-tier star, his first artist had almost helped him actualize that dream but unfortunately, she decided to marry a rich business man and abandoned her acting career to make lots of babies instead, his second artist got mixed with bad people in the industry, took to drugs and ended up in jail, the third got into a horrible car accident and became crippled. His third artist was the nail on the coffin and Richard disappeared from the industry. Till he died, Feng Mei Hiu never heard of the man again.
"He sounds unlucky." Xioa Li Ja Tong hummed.
"He is." Feng Mei Hiu replied.
"You're going to co-operate with me if you don't want me to ruin the reputation of your artist." Feng Mei Hiu was unperturbed by his suspicious, it was not as if Richard would know he was a reborn Fu Xiang.
"What do you want?" Richard's face and gone cold, his mind was ablaze with suspicion. Could this all be a ploy to dupe money from them, or had he purposely allowed himself to be hit by Meng Tianyu's car, a rival's ploy perhaps? Whatever the case was, Meng Tianyu's reputation we not the best online right now, if the news of him hitting someone with a car went viral his career would take a big hit and Richard couldn't afford that.
"Call your artist, he's the one I want to speak to." If looks could kill, Feng Mei Hiu would've been cut to a thousand pieces by now. "Ask him to get me some clothes too,my previous clothing were ruined thanks to him."
Richard grumbled but made the call.
Unlike Richard's wide suspicions, Feng Mei Hiu had only known of the fact that it was not him but his artist who had hit him when he made the previous phone call. While the volume could be considered a whisper to normal hearing, to Feng Mei Hiu who now had sharper senses it was as though Richard was speaking at a normal tone.
*******
The past thirty minutes were spent in uncomfortable silence until a flustered Meng Tianyu entered the ward
"I have brought the clothes." Having been briefed by Richard, he had felt no good feelings towards Feng Mei Hiu.
Feng Mei Hiu tossed his half eaten apple into the bin and rummaged through the bag. "Thanks." He smiled at Meng Tianyu who shifted uncomfortably on his feet.
"Just speak, don't go acting as though you're a good person." Richard snapped.
"Your words wound my soul Mr Huang, I am a delicate omega, of course I am a good person." Feng Mei Hiu gasped theatrically. "You're no fun," he rolled his eyes when he noticed Richard's unimpressed look, "I want you to lie to my step-mother about were the accident happened."
"What?" Meng Tianyu felt stunned, what on earth was going on?
"The thing is, I am living in a soap opera right now, evil step-mother who wants to steal my inheritance and all," Feng Mei Hiu pointed at Richard, "and this guy doesn't look as if he could act to save his life."
"So, you want me to lie to your evil step-mother?" Meng Tianyu shared a look with Richard, they bought shared the same thought, this guy was crazy.
"That's correct, I will brief you on the script in the car." Feng Mei Hiu rose from the bed, the bag of clothes in his hand as he waltzed into the bathroom, leaving a stunned Richard and Meng Tianyu behind.
******
Two hours later, they were stuck outside of the gates of Purple Villa Estates. Much to Richard's disapproval only Meng Tianyu had gone with Feng Mei Hiu.
Meng Tianyu gave another assessing glance at the Feng Mei Hiu who was humming beside him. At first he had thought Feng Mei Hiu was lying, but now he couldn't help but reconsider, he knew the kind of people that could afford a house in this estate.
Moments later, a security guard ushered them out of their car and into the gates were a car from the Feng Mansion awaited them.
The security was stringent and while they had confirmed Feng Mei Hiu's identity they couldn't allow, an unauthorized car into the estate. Feng Mei Hiu was too lazy to walk and simply asked that a car be sent for.

"Mei Hui." Feng Mei Hiu was nearly toppled to the floor by Wei Ehuang's hug. "I have been worried about you." For a mother who was worried about her son that had been missing for two days, she looked very put together, all dressed up for the day.
"Mum, I am so sorry." Feng Mei Hiu cried.
"Where have you been?" Wei Ehuang's eyes were drawn to the bandage wrapped around his head. "What happened to your head?"
This was his cue to step in. "He was hit by my car." Meng Tianyu said.
"You hit my son?" Wie Ehuang's attention was now placed on the man who had been hovering like a fly in the room.
"I am sorry, it was an accident." Meng Tianyu's gaze was fixed on the floor.
"I was feeling stuffy inside the house so I decided to go for a walk, then I thought of getting you a gift, so I went to a jewelery shop in the business zone, on my way back I got hit by a car and lost all the jewelries I bought for you." Feng Mei Hiu cried loudly.
Wei Ehuang blinked in astonishment, Feng Mei Hiu's tears were pouring nonstop. She remembered Ling Sheng telling her that patients who suffered from TBI were prone to mood swings.
"It's alright dear." She pulled Feng Mei Hiu into a stiff hug, suddenly she felt drained of all energy, she would deal with whatever this was later, for now she had an important appointment.
Meng Tianyu was stunned, that was some talent being able to cry at the drop of a hat, he shifted uncomfortably on his feet wondering if he was still needed.
"You're not angry, mum?" Feng Mei Hiu sobbed.
"In would never be angry with you, you're my precious baby boy." She smiled. " Let's go to your room."
Meng Tianyu watched their disappearing figures and took that as his cue to leave.
*******
"Mum needs to go somewhere, rest in your room and when I return we will talk." Wei Ehuang picked up a box from the table. "I got you a phone and retrieved your old contacts, I came to give it to you when I noticed you were missing."
"Thank you mum." Wei Ehuang nodded and left the room.
Feng Mei Hiu unwrapped the box with excitement once Wei Ehuang left the room.
This was DREAMS newly launched phone, expensive and amazing.
He powered the phone on and the device dinged with a message notification.
Feng Mei Hiu couldn't believe his eyes, his account had just been credited with 50 million yuan, his dividend from Feng Corporations.
"I am rich." Feng Mei Hiu laughed as he flung himself on the bed. Once the excitement was over, the next problem reared its head. What was Feng Mei Hiu's transaction pin?
"You're officially the world's most unfortunate man, you have money but you can't use it." Xiao Li Ja Tong roared with laughter.
"Shut up."
