I ordered my cleaner to make sure that the house was at least three times cleaned because I can't afford for him to come and meet it dirty. He finally agreed to come over on Saturday and I had been making it's preparation since the last time we met. Even though my mom portrait wasn't on my mind all that while but I picked that as an opportunity to get to know him better. He had changed so much as the little boy I met ten years ago that saved my life. I owe him a lot to that. But he seems to not remember me at all. I had actually been looking for him for the past ten years to properly thanked him. He changed a little bit. Like he is no longer the little boy I once knew back then. He's still cute and charming. He grew taller which was expected but that adorable smile and Sparks was gone. Like something or someone took it away from him. He speaks a little nonchalantly and rudely now compare to the soft spoken fragile boy I once knew. I searched my cardboard to get a perfect picture of my mom for him. I looked at it and sighed.
"That one's great". I looked up and saw it was Dash. He had actually spent the night here for weird reasons I didn't understand.
"Yeah".
"Do you actually want a portrait of your mom or the cute boy"?. He said smiling sheepishly.
"Both". I mouthed under my breath.
"What did you say".
"Don't you have work to go, Dash".
"And don't you also have work to go. You scheduled to meet your boy on Saturday and it's still Wednesday Johnathan". He is laughing loudly now. I felt embarrassed knowing that he was actually right. Saturday is still few days away and here I am preparing like it's happening tonight.
"Will he think am weird?". He was already on my accessories box trying to take some things.
"Dash?".
"Huh?. You said something?".
"Do you think that he won't like to speak to me. You know. We didn't have a good start".
"Well.. that's doesn't matter as long as you are Gentle with him". I looked at him confused.
"Don't make him feel like it's about the case dude".
