Chapter 47 - 1st follower

After some time, he opened his eyes and looked at his hand, flexing it gently. "Hm, maybe about 20% increase in strength and still increasing... slowly," he murmured as he reflected on the second stage of Aura. "Possibly, it will take a month, but I can accelerate it if I use it constantly. But I should let my body adjust to it first," he mumbled to himself before stretching and lying down, eventually falling asleep.

The next day, waking up, Michel got ready as he met with the guard who was supposed to go with him.

"You are the guard?" Michel asked as he looked at the tall and beautiful woman. Definitely a battle mage, he thought to himself, taking in her appearance. She had green eyes and long blonde hair, wearing a blue robe that signified she was a Grand Mage.

{A/N: If anyone can remind me of a robe or outfit color for Mages in Supreme Magus, I'd appreciate it.}

"Yes, my name is Amanda, and I will be your personal guard as well as your maid from now on," Amanda said, bowing to him as he nodded.

"So you're a Grand Mage?" Michel asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I am a Grand Mage," she replied with a smile.

"What's your specialty?" he inquired.

Amanda's expression shifted slightly. "I have mastery in War Mage and Battle Mage techniques," she said, and Michel nodded thoughtfully.

"Academy?" he asked.

"Red Griffin Academy," Amanda answered.

"Hmm, so you're specialized in flame magic," Michel mused. This kingdom has many Academy, and they have White Griffin for light mages, Black Griffin for dark mages, and so on.

Her being from Red Griffin meant she specialized in flame magic.

"yes, but I also know other magic too" she said as he nodded.

Michael nodded as he looked at her. "I want to fight you," he said confidently.

Amanda raised an eyebrow, frowning slightly. "You might be a Little prodigy, but you'll lose to me," she replied, her tone dripping with displeasure.

"I don't plan on winning or anything. I just want to test myself," he said, determination clear in his voice.

Amanda nodded, her frown softening. "Alright then. Let's go to the training grounds," she said.

Michael followed her, his mind racing. Time to get a good follower, he thought. His plan was simple: defeat her, break her pride, and then offer her a chance to advance in exchange to serve him willingly.

Amanda underestimated him, thinking there was no way a six-year-old could challenge her. However, Michael had spent years mastering his magic. While others dismissed his growth due to his age, Michael knew how to utilize his skills effectively.

Throughout the six years, Michael unlocked incredible spells from his Marvel Life, they are the reward for quest, though most were increase in magic mastery and such , there were few which gave skills as rewards.

Poison Mist Summon: A deadly spell that creates a toxic cloud capable of incapacitating or killing enemies.

Soul Submission: A forbidden spell that binds the target's soul, forcing unwavering loyalty to the caster.

Advanced Undead Creation: A master-level necromancy spell that allows the summoning of powerful undead creatures.

These three spells from Michael's Marvel life, each one good for many situations.

Now, as he stands before Amanda in the training grounds, Michael decides to use Soul Submission, After defeating her.

Soon, they arrived at the training grounds. Amanda stood a short distance away from Michael, gesturing toward him confidently. "You can go first, little prodigy. I will give you a head start," she teased with a smirk.

Michael nodded, unbothered by her taunt. The faster I defeat her, the better for me, he thought.

He began chanting under his breath, moving his hands in precise patterns. As he finished, a cage of lightning materialized around himself, crackling with dangerous energy.

"Are you planning to hide under it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow, seemingly unimpressed.

Michael's lips curved into a slight smile as he intensified his mana output, and soon she found herself moved, she is now inside the lighting cage, it was an Dimensional magic spell, called Switch, swapping two targets position.

Michael didn't stop there. He snapped his fingers, and the lightning cage began to collapse inward, crackling with intensity and threatening to crush Amanda.

But Amanda wasn't just any mage—she was a Grand Mage. With a defiant glare, she activated her own magic, casting Dimensional Escape to break free from the collapsing cage.

However, as her spell activated, she quickly realized something was wrong. The space around her didn't respond as it normally would. No matter how much mana she poured into her spell, she couldn't leave the dimensional barrier Michael had crafted.

Her eyes widened in shock. "What is this? Why can't I escape?" she demanded, her voice tinged with frustration and panic.

Michael smirked, his calm demeanor unshaken. "Did you think I wouldn't anticipate that? My spell isn't just any lighting cage—it's designed to counter Dimension magic. Once you're in, there's no way out unless I allow it."

Amanda gritted her teeth, struggling against the cage as it closed in further. She began to cast one spell after another but the cage never broke as she now panted her mana dwindling. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead as she realized she was completely at Michael's mercy now.

"Yield," Michael said firmly, his tone carrying authority beyond his years.

Reluctantly, Amanda stopped struggling and lowered her head in defeat. "Fine," she said through gritted teeth. "You've won."

Amanda, exhausted and unable to counter, finally dropped her guard. She knelt inside the cage, looking up at Michael with a mix of respect and disbelief.

"You're stronger than I thought," she admitted reluctantly.

Michael waved his hand, dispelling the lightning cage and the dimensional spell. "Maybe." he said calmly.

Amanda looked at him with wide eyes. "You're already a Grand Mage—and at an even higher level than me?" she asked, her voice laced with awe and disbelief.

Michael nodded, a faint smile on his face.

"But it seems neither your parents nor anyone else knows," Amanda continued, narrowing her eyes. "Why haven't they realized your true power? Why did they assign me to be your babysitter?"

Michael met her wary gaze with a calm and confident expression. "Do you want to advance in magic?" he asked simply.
