Chapter 6 - First Servant

Nathan sat within the endless void of his divine domain, still processing the rush of energy and clarity brought on by his evolution. The System had given him new abilities, and one in particular had piqued his interest:

Skill Unlocked: Divine Craft

Skill Description: You are able to create life, weapons, tools, and structures of immense power. Life created with this skill must reside only within your heaven. Weapons and tools may only be given to those you trust completely.

The possibilities were endless. With this skill, Nathan could forge a divine realm worthy of his growing influence and create servants to share in the work of maintaining his world.

Nathan leaned back, staring at the blank void of his heaven. His lips curved into a determined smile. "Let's get started."

The void of heaven was vast and empty, an infinite canvas awaiting its master's touch. Nathan extended his hand, his divine power swirling like molten gold in his palm. He envisioned a realm of beauty and splendor, a place that reflected his identity as a creator and a god.

First, he forged the center of heaven: a grand celestial palace that radiated divine light. Its walls shimmered like liquid silver, etched with intricate patterns of stars and constellations. The palace rose high into the endless sky, crowned with a golden dome that seemed to glow with its own inner sun.

At the heart of the palace, Nathan created a throne—a massive, ornate seat carved from pure white marble and inlaid with veins of gold and sapphire. The throne symbolized his authority, and it was large enough to command attention, yet elegant in its design.

Around his own throne, Nathan placed smaller thrones in a circular arrangement, each one unique in its design. These would be for the supreme beings he would soon create, beings of extraordinary beauty and power who would serve as his closest aides and counselors.

The rest of heaven began to take shape around the palace. Nathan crafted lush gardens filled with trees that bore golden fruit, rivers of crystal-clear water that sparkled with magic, and floating islands suspended in the sky like jewels. Everywhere, the air shimmered with a soft, golden light, and a sense of peace and harmony pervaded the realm.

When he was finished, Nathan stepped back to admire his work. Heaven was no longer an empty void; it was a paradise befitting a god.

Nathan ascended to his throne, his divine presence filling the palace. It was time to populate heaven, to create the supreme beings who would serve at his side and help him govern the growing complexity of his world.

He extended his hand, his power coalescing into a brilliant sphere of light. From this sphere, he shaped his first creation: a supreme being of unparalleled beauty and majesty.

The first was a male figure, tall and regal, with flowing silver hair and piercing golden eyes. His armor gleamed like the surface of a star, and his wings—six in total—shimmered with an iridescent glow. Nathan named him Aureon, the Commander of the Divine Host, granting him authority over all other servants in heaven.

Next came a female figure, radiant and graceful, with long hair like spun gold and eyes as deep and blue as the ocean. She wore a gown of starlight that seemed to ripple with every movement, and her voice, when she first spoke, resonated like the sweetest melody. Nathan named her Selene, the Keeper of Wisdom, tasking her with safeguarding the knowledge of heaven and guiding the people of the world with her insight.

One by one, Nathan created more supreme beings, each one unique and perfect in their own way. He granted them roles and responsibilities that aligned with their strengths: the Guardian of the Heavenly Gates, the Steward of Nature, the Arbiter of Justice, and more.

When they were complete, Nathan gestured for them to take their seats at the smaller thrones surrounding his own. They knelt before him in reverence before ascending to their places, their presence adding a new vibrancy to heaven.

While the supreme beings would oversee the grand workings of heaven, Nathan knew he needed someone to focus on the world below. He wanted a servant who could act as a direct link between him and his people—a being who could bless them, heal their wounds, and guide them in times of need.

Nathan closed his eyes and envisioned the perfect being. He drew from the essence of purity and compassion, shaping it into a form that was both beautiful and approachable. When he opened his eyes, the light coalesced into the figure of an angel.

The angel was of average height, with soft, glowing skin and warm, golden eyes. Her hair cascaded down her back in waves of shimmering white, and her wings, though smaller than those of the supreme beings, radiated a gentle light. She wore a simple yet elegant robe, and in her hands, she held a staff that glowed faintly with healing magic.

Nathan smiled at her. "You shall be called Elysia, the Bringer of Blessings. Your role is to watch over the world I have created, to tend to the needs of its people, and to ensure that their faith in me does not falter."

Elysia knelt before him, her voice soft and reverent. "It will be my honor, Creator."

With Elysia created and her role assigned, Nathan decided it was time to prepare the people for her arrival. He reached out with his divine power, his voice resonating across the lands like a gentle breeze:

"To all my people, hear my words. In the coming weeks, a servant of mine shall walk among you. She will bring blessings and heal the sick, easing your burdens and reminding you of my love and guidance. Prepare yourselves, for her presence is a sign of my watchful care over you."

The prophecy spread quickly, carried by word of mouth and the prayers of the devout. In every village, town, and city, people gathered to discuss the Creator's message. They spoke of hope and excitement, their faith renewed by the promise of divine intervention.

Back in heaven, Nathan watched as the prophecy unfolded. He saw the way his words inspired his people, filling them with hope and purpose. He saw their preparations—the building of new shrines, the organization of festivals, the heartfelt prayers offered in his name.

Elysia stood by his side, ready to descend when the time came. "They will love you, Creator," she said softly. "Your people are strong and faithful."

Nathan nodded, his gaze distant. "I hope so, Elysia. I've given them the tools they need to thrive, but faith is a fragile thing. It must be nurtured, or it will fade."

He turned to her, his expression firm. "That's why I'm trusting you. Go to them, guide them, and remind them that they are never alone."

Elysia bowed deeply. "I will not fail you."

As Nathan watched her prepare for her journey, he felt a deep sense of satisfaction. His world was growing, his people were thriving, and now, for the first time, he had someone to share the burden of his divine responsibilities.

He leaned back in his throne, gazing out over the radiant expanse of heaven. For the first time since his reincarnation, he felt a sense of peace.

But even as he rested, he couldn't shake the feeling that greater challenges lay ahead. The world was still young, and the path of creation was never without obstacles.

Still, Nathan smiled to himself. Whatever the future held, he was ready.
