Tang Xi walked to her sit admist the stares she was getting from her co-workers who she shares a space with, she picked up her notepad and went to Mrs Weng 's office. She picked up the files and the both left for the conference room for the meeting.
At the upper floor of SJ, Qiao Jia who was the assistant to the director of the design department has an exclusive office, she was sitting on her sit with her legs on the table,she was with the masterpiece design of the month looking at it before she got a call, she smiled on seeing the caller and answered the call.
Hello baby, am fine, I want to see you again tonight.She laughed at what the other end said, of course am all yours tonight, I will meet you at my place then. Good bye baby, I have a meeting to attend, she said ending the call.
Qiao Jia tried to take her legs down the table but accidentally knocked down the coffee cup on her table and it spilled on the masterpiece design draft. Oh my gosh, this was the masterpiece design draft for the meeting. What would she do, it's already ruined by the coffee. Tang Jing would definitely blame her, as she panicked, an idea crossed her mind, Tang Xi had run into her this morning, if she could pin the blame on Tang Xi then she won't be held responsible. She threw the ruined design draft into the trash bin and parked up the remaining design draft and left for the meeting.
At the conference room, the production team and design team were already sitted when Tang Jing and Qiao Jia entered. Tang Jing is the director of the design department of SJ, Tang Xi's step sister and Tang's family first Miss. Tang Jing headed to her sit at the head of the table with Qiao Jia sitted beside her.
The aim of this meeting is to discuss about our company's product launch which will be happening at the end of the month, we are already tight on time,Tang Jing started. MJ informed me that she has already submitted her design draft, she asked looking at Weng Hui.
MJ was an acronym for Mia Jones she was the cheif designer of Star Jewelry.
I had it submitted to assistant Qiao, Weng Hui answered.
Tang Jing turned to Qiao Jia who handed her a file, Tang Jing went through the file but didn't seem to find what she was looking for, they were all side piece designs, where is MJ's masterpiece? She asked looking up to Weng Hui as she was in charge of the design.Who handed this file over?
I had Su Wan hand it over to assistant Qiao, Weng Hui answered. Everyone turned to Su Wan. I handled it over to assistant Qiao immediately,she even cross-checked it before I left, Su Wan answered leading everyone's attention to Qiao Jia.
Qiao Jia was flustered and immediately pointed at Tang Xi. It was Tang Xi, she ran into me at the lobby this morning and must have taken the design draft.
Tang Xi was surprised at being called out, I remember packing up the files for you and why would I take the design draft? Is assistant Qiao trying to push the responsibility to me, Tang Xi said.
You.... Qiao Jia tried to retort but was interuptted by Tang Jing.
That design draft is the master piece for this month's launching and MJ didn't duplicate it, all the raw materials has been gathered for its production and right now MJ is currently out of the country and unreachable. Tang Xi, I don't care whatever means you use, you must produce a masterpiece design in a week time and the design must be based on the raw materials already provided. This meeting is adjourned till next week, Tang Jing declared leaving the conference room, she was followed by Qiao Jia who smirked at Tang Xi before leaving .
The design draft was clearly lost by Qiao Jia due to her carelessness but her good step sister did not bother to investigate and pushed all the blame and responsibility to her.
Everyone left the conference room giving Tang Xi pitiful looks. What a trouble maker, Mrs Weng muttered loudly glaring at Tang Xi before she left.
Tang Xi was left with Su Wan in the conference room, I know you didn't take the design draft, that bitch must have probably lost it and is now pinning the blame on you, Su Wan said, if you need any help with the design, don't hesitate to let me know.
Thank you Su Wan, I appreciate your trust in me, I won't hesitate to inform you if I need help, let's go back to the office, I will think of something, Tang Xi said and they both left the conference room.
The rest of the day went relatively well and it was finally time to knock off from work, Tang Xi has seen the list of raw materials available and decided to go to a scenic place and maybe get some inspiration for the design.
