PROLOGUE
Long ago, in a forgotten country called Imua, there was a small town named Soweto. This beautiful town was known for its vibrant dancing and melodious singing. In this lively place lived a girl named Morana, who shared her home with her younger sister, Verena. They lived happily together, until the day of Morana's wedding.
On the morning of her wedding, Morana was radiant, dressed in her wedding gown and full of excitement. As she went to embrace her sister, her fiancé stopped her, saying they needed to talk. What he revealed left Morana heartbroken—her sister, Verena, was pregnant with his child. He begged her to let Verena take her place at the altar, claiming that Verena was his true love and that he would ensure her happiness.
Morana was devastated but felt she had no choice. According to the laws of the Kibbue Rite, a man who fathers a child with someone other than his wife would be put to death. To save her sister's life, Morana stepped aside and allowed Verena to marry her fiancé. Heartbroken and humiliated, Morana disappeared from the altar and was never seen again.
Months later, on an overcast day in Soweto, Verena gave birth to twins: Keiran and Lumina. The joyous occasion, however, marked the beginning of a terrible curse. On the day of the twins' birth, a witch named Mora cast a spell upon the town. The curse made it impossible for anyone in Soweto to reproduce, and its people began to die prematurely from natural causes, leading the town toward extinction.
Despite this curse, the twins were born with unique abilities. Keiran was gifted with an immortal body, while Lumina possessed the ability of foresight, able to see the deaths yet to come. Fearful of the growing misfortune surrounding their family, the twins fled Soweto one stormy night. They journeyed across the scorching lands of Imma and the icy terrains of Imua until they finally reached a mysterious town called Forevermore.
However, their arrival in Forevermore brought even more chaos. The town began to experience heightened death rates, frequent miscarriages, food shortages, and natural disasters. The people of Forevermore whispered of a curse following the twins. Now, Keiran and Lumina must navigate the misfortunes that surround them and uncover the truth of their existence.
