Su Chen noticed a spider web not far away, with a group of tiny spiders clustered together. They were standing there in an orderly fashion, seemingly well-protected.
They appeared to be the offspring of the giant spider he had just slain. Their frail and helpless appearance was a stark contrast to the menacing figure of the massive spider.
The baby spiders looked weak, likely having gone several days without food.
The spider mother must have been left with no choice but to trap her young in a web while she went out to hunt on her own.
The web was sealed tightly, forming a protective enclosure. The baby spiders clearly lacked the strength to break through it.
Perhaps the spider mother simply didn't want her babies to vanish.
When Su Chen saw the scene, he couldn't help but feel shocked. He had never encountered so many spiders clustered together in one web before.
It was a chilling sight that testified to the terrifying reproductive capabilities of spiders.
The baby spiders seemed to cry as they gazed at the remains of the giant spider that Su Chen had killed.
"Mom, what happened to you? We didn't want you to go out for food. We just wanted you to stay with us."
"Mom, are you never coming back?"
"Don't worry, everyone. Mom will be back soon."
Looking at the pitiful baby spiders, Su Chen felt a twinge of sympathy.
Although the giant spider had tried to harm him, the baby spiders were innocent.
Still, Su Chen had no intention of providing food for them. After all, they were his enemies.
"Perhaps this is all I can do for you."
He threw a torch onto the web, setting it ablaze.
The baby spiders, now freed from the constraints of the web, scattered in all directions.
"I hope that when they grow up, they won't come back to harm me," Su Chen muttered to himself.
This was the only thing he could hope for. But deep down, he knew that they were monsters by nature—"A leopard cannot change its spots," as the saying goes.
The loss of their mother would surely be a painful experience for them.
"Let's just hope you won't become a menace to humans in the future."
With the interference of the spider mother gone, the night felt much more peaceful. Even falling asleep seemed easier.
Er Bao, who had witnessed Su Chen slaying the monster, was showering him with compliments.
"Woof, that was so scary! I just want to dive into the master's arms right now!"
"I like you so much, Master! You're my favorite!"
"Master is so cool! I love you!"
Su Chen chuckled playfully and teased, "You coward. Look at how scared you were at the critical moment! I won't even bother scolding you."
Embarrassed by the reprimand, Er Bao quickly retreated to his little nest.
Normally, Er Bao would insist on squeezing in and sleeping next to Su Chen. But today, it seemed like the sun had risen from the west—he actually chose to sleep alone.
Su Chen couldn't help but joke, "Mark this down: today is the first time Er Bao has ever slept alone. If he gets scared, I might just set up a row of Ultraman figures to protect him. That way, he won't be so frightened."
Er Bao, mortified by Su Chen's teasing, immediately shot back, "From now on, I'll sleep by myself! Hmph!"
His response made Su Chen laugh helplessly. "What am I going to do with you?"
After closing the car door, Su Chen saw bloodstains everywhere and had no choice but to clean them up.
The door itself had a huge dent, which he patched up with some refined iron.
"It'll have to do for now. That giant spider was terrifying—it managed to break through an iron door!"
"But of course, I'm the real deal. Victory always favors the prepared and clever!"
"Big brute, giant spider, dumb monster."
Once the door was repaired, Su Chen lay down on his bed, ready to rest. After a long day, it was time to recharge.
Suddenly, a notification rang out.
[Ding! Congratulations on successfully slaying a giant bloodthirsty spider!
This is a monumental moment. You are the first person in the world to kill a beast.
Your achievement will be recorded in the Honor and Achievements section of the RV Survival World, where it will remain permanently.]

The first human to kill a member of the spider species? Even Su Chen didn't expect such a glorious title.
[Bloodthirsty Spider Warrior Badge]:
As the first human to kill a spider family member, all spider-type creatures will now fear you. Additionally, when fighting spider-type creatures, your combat power increases by 50%.
A silver badge instantly appeared in Su Chen's hand.
He pinned it to his shirt, feeling a newfound courage as nightfall approached.
This victory, however, wasn't achieved without a bit of luck. There were still many more creatures and groups to face, so Su Chen remained cautious.
[Congratulations on earning a Beast Slayer Reward: Recipe for mixed seasonings, mysterious seeds, and a large sack of rice has been awarded]
Su Chen wasted no time and activated the enhancement system.
[Ding! Congratulations on successfully enhancing and obtaining a full set of premium mixed seasonings.]
[Ding! Congratulations on successfully enhancing and obtaining high-quality triple-growth mysterious seeds.]
[Ding! Congratulations on successfully enhancing and obtaining five large sacks of premium fragrant rice.]
"What a haul!"
Su Chen was overjoyed. To his surprise, one of the rewards was a perfect-grade seed. He was curious to see what it would grow into.
"Maybe it'll grow roses! I want bread, but I also want romance."
"Hahaha, just kidding. A true survivor doesn't need romance."
With these new items, Su Chen's RV survival journey was starting to feel more like a vacation.
Unable to resist, he glanced over at Er Bao, who was curled up in his nest, looking small and pitiful—likely scared of sleeping alone.
The moment Er Bao saw Su Chen, he immediately perked up, bouncing around energetically. His earlier timid demeanor was completely gone.
"Waaah, I'm scared to sleep alone!"
Su Chen looked down at him arrogantly and turned his attention back to his own bed.
"Oh, really? Weren't you the one who said so confidently that you'd sleep alone? And now look at you, trembling with fear. Honestly, I didn't expect this."
"It feels so good to have the whole bed to myself. Don't follow me; I'm sleeping alone tonight."
Su Chen spoke without even looking at Er Bao and promptly climbed onto his bed.
But Er Bao clumsily followed, hopping up onto the bed as well.
This silly dog, always acting goofy. Anyone who didn't know better might think his IQ was in the negatives.
"Master, you were so amazing today! So strong and cool!"
Su Chen saw right through Er Bao's attempt at flattery but decided to play along.
"Of course. Don't you know who your master is?"
Er Bao became even more audacious, pouncing onto Su Chen's chest and pretending to fall asleep.
Truth be told, Su Chen had grown used to having Er Bao sleep beside him. Without him, something felt off.
So he held Er Bao tightly and prepared to sleep.
"You big dummy, Su Chen!"
Er Bao hadn't actually fallen asleep. Being held like this, he somehow felt... shy?
"I love sleeping with Master the most!"
