Synopsis
In the world of Eridoria, where humans struggled to survive against the monstrous forces that threatened to consume everything, there existed a hidden realm known as Aethoria. This parallel world was a place of ancient power, where the fabric of reality was woven from the very essence of magic. To tap into the power of Aethoria, those brave enough to challenge its trials from Eridoria would have to navigate the hidden pathways that connected the two worlds. Once in Aethoria, they would be met with the fabled Spire of Echoes, a towering structure that pierced the skies like a shard of glass. The Spire was said to be comprised of thousands of individual towers, each one representing a different trial, a different challenge, and a different aspect of the self but these towers were separated from the source. Those who sought to gain power from Aethoris would have to climb each tower, facing their deepest fears, desires, and doubts along the way. As they ascended the towers, the challenges would grow increasingly difficult, and the risks would become increasingly greater. One misstep, one moment of weakness, and the climber would plummet to their death, their soul trapped forever in the realm of Aethoria. But for those who succeeded, who managed to climb the towers and claim the power that lay at there peaks , the rewards would be immeasurable. They would return to Eridoria as heroes, armed with the knowledge, the strength, and the magic needed to defeat the monsters that threatened their world. The question was, who would be brave enough to take on the challenge of the Spire the source of all towers, and what would be the cost of their ambition?

Chapter 1 - 1 Nightmare

The shallow breathing of someone could be heard in a small corner of a old barn.On top of a small but moderate sized pile of hay lay a young boy.Probably in his teens with onyx black hair peacefully enjoying a long nap. That tranquility was short lived, with a sudden and jaggaring sensation the boy was woken up.A rough hand grasped there shoulder sending them tumbling into a semblance of a rugged sitting position.Their eyes shot open unfocused and disoriented. The area around them seemingly a blur.

It took a moment to get used to the area and then a loud voice broke the empty silence"Hey, wake up you bastard!".Looking around for the source of the voice the young boy saw a tall man with broad shoulders,a body that of an elite athlete,a brown beard with hair to match, looming over the boy."The young master has been looking for you,you Vial wretch!"The man said.

The boy now in a state of fear didn't answer instead tried to run away or better yet crawl."Are you really going to make this difficult?"with a grin the man ,who was in a royal blue cloak with a crescent moon badge woven from golden string, lundged forward catching up to the boy in an instant pummeling his face into the mud thwarting his desperate attempt to flee.

"Please I..I can't go back to that hell"the boy said in a shacky voice."Well to bad the lords will is absolute. No one can defy it.You should stop your sorry excuses of fleeing and just except fate Rune"the man said dragging Rune by the hair.whistleing he continued with a sly grin on his face.

Before to long the duo had reached a large gate with a tapestry of intricate engravings. Both on the door and on the handle. With a stilt creak the gate swung open. Both men entering one on the ground the other still whistling.

Entering a large castle they walked along a cast corridor with lanterns hung up on the walk to illuminate the path. They stopped at another door still decked with intricate engravings but on a smaller scale.Just by standing in front of the door one could feel a looming sensation of death seeping out from whatever was in the room."Well this is my stop"the man said holding the handle ready to open the door.

"Wait p..please help me!.I can't go in there I'll die"Rune protested."No can do kiddo.Bosses orders,I really liked you you were one of the better bastard children.Oh well the world isn't always fair."Throwing the boy in the room the name end with"may the goddess of the moon show mercy".

The door closed shut cutting off any light from entering the room.It was far more menacing in the inside than on the outside.Outside the pressure was bearable but inside it was almost crippling.Rune looked around trying to see anything but to no reward. The room was pitch black nothing could be seen and heard apart from Rune's own breathing.Just as he was getting somewhat used to this place the floor disappeared as though it never existed.

Freefalling Rune started to scream but discarded the idea and chose to except fate and just absorb the sensation of falling. As though there was no end he kept on falling and falling unti"boom" he crashed to what he surmised was the floor.Drawing in a shaky breath he let out a sigh of relief knowing he would die soon but as If he didn't go through enough he heard footsteps not those of humans but of a creature "A nether creature ?"he said in a Shakey voice. I must've angered a god to get such luck. Alas thanks to his wounds he drew his last breath not having seen the horrid creature.
