He considered stopping and going back to the other path but quickly dismissed the idea. That wouldn't be a good choice. Just like the strategy for escaping a maze—sticking to one wall and following it through—exploring this dungeon didn't seem much different.
He decided to keep moving forward as far as he could.
The torches illuminating the passage only stayed lit in his immediate vicinity. The ones farther away automatically turned off. This limited his field of vision to about 50 meters, forcing him to stay alert.
At a fork in the road, something began to emerge from the darkness ahead.
"Isn't this... a bit off?" Leo muttered nervously.
"Kraarrrrraaack!! Khuuuu!!"
Two Kobold Warriors appeared from the shadows. No, they were different from the ones he had encountered earlier. One held a greatsword, like the first Kobold Warrior he had fought, while the other carried a bow.
"My worries became reality," Leo thought grimly.
