The Battle of Betrayal
The sun was barely setting when the demons first appeared on the horizon—a dark, ominous tide of destruction. Led by Elysia's father, Lord Malathar, a man she had once trusted, the demons surged forth with unrelenting force. The Elite 7 and a hundred thousand soldiers stood in their way, their resolve unwavering, but the odds were grim. Elysia, her heart torn between duty and disbelief, couldn't fathom the depths of her father's betrayal.
Her mind raced. How could he—her own father—align with the demons? She had fought beside him, trusted him, and now… he was the architect of their doom.
Still, the battle raged on. Elysia, her magic bright and unyielding, worked alongside the Elites, each one fighting with unmatched power. Xue, ever the unpredictable swordsman, danced through the battlefield, cutting down demons with precision, his dark magic adding an edge to his attacks. But the demons kept coming, in waves and waves, too many to count. And then, everything changed.
Lord Malathar appeared before her, the dark aura of betrayal radiating off him. He spoke no words, only a malevolent sneer before he infused her with the highest form of demonic blood, a dark, cursed magic that began to twist her very being. Elysia screamed, clutching her chest as her body trembled under the weight of the transformation.
"Elysia!" Xue shouted, but it was too late.
The battle shifted into chaos. Elysia went berserk, the demonic blood coursing through her veins. Her once gentle and controlled magic turned chaotic, destructive. She unleashed torrents of dark energy, tearing through the battlefield with no control, killing friend and foe alike.
Iblis, the Elite of Fire, was the first to fall. Exhausted and unable to keep up with Elysia's rampage, he was consumed by the flames of her fury. Then Corrine, the Elite of Earth, was crushed under the overwhelming power of her wild attacks. Marina, the Elite of Water, was drowned by an onslaught of dark magic, her water powers no match for Elysia's uncontrolled wrath.
The Elite of Healing, Seraphina, tried desperately to heal the wounded, but with the little mana she had left, it was too hard to keep up with the carnage. Alissa, the Elite of Air, did her best to assist the remaining soldiers, guiding them to safety and using the wind to cover their retreat. But the damage was done.
Xue fought desperately, trying to reach Elysia, but the woman he loved was slipping further away with every passing moment. He knew there was only one way to end this—the one way he could save what remained of their world.
As the last of the demons fell, Xue, heart heavy with regret, faced Elysia. She was no longer the woman he had fought beside, no longer the bright, brilliant mage she once was. She was a monster—a demon who had been consumed by her father's betrayal.
"Elysia," Xue whispered, his voice breaking. "Please, come back to me."
But she could no longer hear him. Her eyes burned with a demonic fire, and her form was barely recognizable. The heart that had once beaten with kindness, love, and courage now throbbed with the blood of demons.
With a final cry, Xue lunged, the sword piercing her chest with an agonizing thud. Elysia gasped, the light in her eyes flickering one last time as she gazed up at him—her most trusted, her love, her betrayer.
"You… had to," she whispered, her voice barely a breath. "Only you could… end this…"
Xue called for help from elite of healing
Tears fell from Xue's eyes, his heart breaking with the weight of her death. He had been forced to kill her—his love, his comrade, his greatest ally. She had known that, in the end, her death was the only way to end the madness that had consumed their world.
