Wen Shia called out to Xiang, but there was no response. After a while, he heard the sound of something falling. When he turned around, he noticed some items from the table had fallen to the ground. Realizing that Xiang might be nearby, he approached cautiously and tried to touch her discreetly. However, just as he extended his hand, Xiang stirred and became visible.
Wen Shia's face lit up with joy. He immediately embraced her and exclaimed, "Why did you take so long to regain consciousness? I've been calling you for ages!"
Xiang smiled sheepishly. "I might have fallen asleep. That's probably why it took me a while."
The two talked for a while before Xiang said, "I'm feeling hungry."
Without hesitation, Wen Shia went to prepare some food. After a short while, he returned with chicken soup, roasted chicken, rice, and a variety of sweets. Xiang's eyes sparkled with happiness, and she hugged Wen Shia gratefully. The two shared the meal together, enjoying each other's company.
After finishing, Xiang said, "We should leave this place now."
Wen Shia nodded in agreement. However, Xiang added, "I'll go alone from here."
Wen Shia protested at first but eventually gave in after Xiang convinced him. She assured him that she would be fine and began preparing to teleport herself home.
But something unexpected happened. Instead of arriving at her parents' house, Xiang found herself in the middle of a vast forest. Confused, she thought, How did I end up here? I was thinking about my parents' place. Maybe my thoughts were distracted.
Looking around, she decided it would be safer to find shelter. As she explored, she discovered a small hut hidden among the trees. The hut seemed abandoned, so she cleaned it up a bit and decided to stay there until she recovered her strength.
The next day, Xiang ventured into the forest to look for food. While searching, she found some fruits and sat under a tree to enjoy them. As she ate with her eyes closed, she suddenly felt the presence of others nearby. Startled, she opened her eyes and saw a group of men dressed in black approaching her.
One of them commanded, "Capture the girl and take her with us!"
Though frightened, Xiang didn't panic. She quickly prepared to fight, but the sheer number of opponents overwhelmed her. As she was about to teleport away, a thin thread shot out and struck her back. It was enchanted, preventing her from using her powers. Xiang collapsed and lost consciousness.
When she woke up, she found herself in a pitch-dark room. Her hands and feet were bound tightly, and a cloth was tied around her mouth, muffling her voice. No matter how hard she tried to scream, no sound escaped. Worse, her powers were still suppressed.
Desperate, Xiang remembered the small knife hidden in her shoe. Straining against the bindings, she managed to grab the knife and started cutting the ropes around her legs. The process was slow and painful, and her hands were injured in the effort, but she eventually freed herself.
However, as she tried to escape, she touched the walls of the room and was met with a sharp electric shock. A barrier surrounded the room, preventing any attempt at escape.
Meanwhile, Wen Shia began to worry about Xiang. He decided to visit her parents' house, assuming she had gone there. Upon arrival, he was greeted warmly by Xiang's family.
Her mother, Li, said with a sad expression, "My daughter isn't here. It's been days since she left to travel the world, and she hasn't returned. I'm so worried about her."
Hearing this, Wen Shia was shocked. He reassured Xiang's mother, saying, "Don't worry, I'll find her and bring her back safely."
Wen Shia left their home, determined to locate Xiang. Using his energy, he searched for any trace of her presence. Deep in the forest, he felt a faint but familiar pulse. Following the trail, he soon encountered a group of black-clad men carrying supplies.
Concealing himself, he listened to their conversation.
"Did you see the girl we captured?" one of them asked. "She's not ordinary. The boss says she might be connected to something powerful…"
Wen Shia's heart raced. He was certain they were talking about Xiang. Keeping his composure, he quietly followed them, preparing to rescue her from whatever danger she was in.
