Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 What Is Meant To Be Is Meant To Be

In a flash, Chen Yang's shoes were filled with awe and wonder, as were the onlookers. The crowd dispersed like birds and beasts, and Chen Yang's shoes hurriedly ran away as well, quickly returning to their seat in the classroom and pretending to read seriously while slowly calming their inner excitement.

It was almost time for the afternoon class! He made it through the two afternoon classes! When class was over, many classmates who had returned from outside looked at Chen Yang with big, excited eyes after they entered the classroom. A few of Chen Yang's friends gathered around to ask about the incredible dunk he had performed at lunch. Everyone seemed to know about it. Chen Yang doesn't have a good reputation in class, but that's okay! Those with good grades basically don't play with Chen Yang, but that just means he has more opportunities to make new friends. So Chen Yang could only "modestly" describe his heroic feat at lunch in a casual manner. He just looked smug, and quickly dismissed these people, promising to play basketball with them next time.

During study time, when no one was paying attention to him, Chen Yang began to think hard about what circumstances would allow him to activate the genius learning system, and how activating it would improve him. He was filled with excitement at the thought of what it would do for him! Since it was a learning system, it should always be possible to learn skills, right? It would be incredible if everything could be as easy as playing basketball at noon! In the face of his strong physical fitness and unparalleled skills, everything else was just a distant thought. He was excited for the system to give him more such powerful skills!

During the self-study period, Liu Feng, who had played basketball with Chen Yang at noon, sat down next to him. Liu Feng had already seen Chen Yang's incredible performance at noon, so he was totally cool compared to the other students. Liu Feng patted Chen Yang on the shoulder and looked at him, his eyes alight with admiration. "Yangzi, you're incredible! I feel like I'm dreaming. How can you play basketball so well? I've been in awe for two classes, constantly thinking back to your spectacular dunks. It's truly impressive, almost as good as me."

Chen Yang looked at Liu Feng with a playful grin and said, "Come on, with your few pounds and a few ounces, you try to fly me. I'm still depressed here, and you say that the basketball goal can't be disabled, and it just hangs up after a few moves. Now I can't get away with damaging public property, and I don't know if I'll be given a demerit."

Liu Feng was at a loss for words, but he knew the best thing to do was to cheer Chen Yang up. "Just pay for the broken things, and a demerit shouldn't be too much," he said with a smile.

Hearing this, Chen Yang couldn't help but smile. He said a few words to get rid of Liu Feng. Chen Yang was soon feeling much more relaxed. After all, what was to come would always come! Chen Yang was filled with curiosity. Could he summon the system at any time? He tried out some commands he imagined: "Summon the genius learning system." Nothing happened. "Open sesame." Still nothing. It would be strange if there was a response. Chen Yang was burning with enthusiasm. He knew that there was no use rushing things. He could only wait now. As long as the system appeared again, there would definitely be some corresponding prompts.

Chen Yang was filled with excitement as he awaited the end of his study session. He hastily ate dinner and rushed back to the small playground where he had made a name for himself at noon. Many people he knew and didn't know greeted him, which made him feel on top of the world. He proudly thought, "Brother is now a celebrity of some size." So along the way, he behaved like a celebrity, nodding and greeting people, and even walking with a swagger.

Seeing a few people kicking a soccer ball on the playground, Chen Yang's heart fluttered with excitement. He was tempted to join in, but he wisely restrained the urge. If the system gave him another experience as a soccer superstar, Chen Yang would become the person at the center of attention. He was ready for the spotlight!

With a heavy heart, he looked at the active elves on the playground, feeling a twinge of envy. Chen Yang gulped hard and hurriedly went to the classroom, turning his depression into motivation to study. After all, senior year studies were still quite intense, and at least he had to pretend to go with the flow. No, Chen Yang didn't want to repeat the year or anything like that; it was too much trouble. The college entrance exam is taken by millions of candidates across the country, and the so-called "one point overwhelming tens of thousands of people" is no bluff. The competition is quite fierce, but it's also an amazing opportunity for all of these bright young minds to show what they're made of!

Even before they reached the classroom, Chen Yang, with his sharp eyesight, saw their homeroom teacher Lao Mao standing in the doorway like a statue. Lao Mao happened to see Chen Yang as well, and immediately strode angrily over, grabbed Chen Yang, and said, "I heard it was you who broke the school's basketball hoop at lunchtime?"

In the face of the facts, all excuses are feeble. So Chen Yang could only bow his head, not saying a word, just slightly nodding his head. Lao Mao said with a look of determination, "The college entrance exam is in just over a month, and you just know how to play. The time at noon is for you to take a nap. At such a stressful time, you still went to play basketball and damaged public property. You're such a big guy, how can you still be so inconsiderate?"

Since there was no video to capture Chen Yang's amazing ball skills, Lao Mao only learned about the incident from other students. While everyone else was raving about how well Chen Yang played basketball and how he could even dunk, Lao Mao had a different take: what can a little kid do even if he plays basketball well? Can it help him get into college? Besides, it's already the final sprint to the college entrance exam, so other than studying, there's nothing else to do. Anything else is wrong.

In fact, Lao Mao is quite good! Even though Chen Yang's results were basically at the bottom of the class in every exam, Lao Mao could have simply ignored him and let him fend for himself. But Lao Mao is a very responsible teacher, and he decided to give him a chance! He has high hopes for all of his students and is determined to help them achieve their dreams. It's inspiring to see a teacher with such a positive outlook and a genuine desire to support their students' success. Many teachers share this sentiment, and it's a testament to their dedication and commitment to their students' growth and well-being.

After being criticized by Lao Mao for a while, Chen Derong, the father, came to the rescue! With a big, beaming smile, he kept whispering to Lao Mao, the class teacher, saying things like "I'm sorry," "I'm sorry," and "I've caused you trouble." This made Chen Yang feel very embarrassed, and he secretly blamed himself for being incompetent, causing his father to suffer along. After a while, Chen Yang entered the classroom, while his father followed Lao Mao to the school finance office to deal with the compensation for damaged property.
