It was a very busy day for Fredrick Davids Iroha at David's group, Fred as he is fondly called by those close to him was the one in charge of their family company, He held a meeting with his management team which lasted for four hours. Business and critical issues affecting the company were discussed after work Fred headed home to let his grandfather Pa Joe know the out come of the meeting, this was a habit he had formed over time. He always briefed his grandpa of everything that had to do with the company affairs. Albert Davids Iroha, Fred's father was heading the management of the company before his death, Fred was 7 years old then, so after his father passed, Pa Joe Fred's grandfather took over again since Fred was too young. Fred later joined the company at age 20. Been the only grand child from an only child, his grand parents made sure to raise, train and equip him well so that by the time he was 25 he had assumed the duties of the CEO.
Fred had always been exceptional, he grew up to be a calm, reserved, well calculated and handsome gentle man. He excelled in all he did and ever since he took over the management of the company ,he had done well and had never disappointed his grand parents. But there was one thing that gave his family concern, it was the fact that Fred never got involved with any lady. He never had any woman in his life. A lot of women had tried to get to him but he never spared anyone a glance let alone letting them close to him.
Fred was already 37, a few people have started spreading some rumours around that he seem to like his fellow men hence the reason no one ever saw him with any young woman, he rather surrounded himself with more of men.
This made his grand parents worry even more.
Fred's grandparents had just finished discussing about how they could make him get married as soon as possible as they felt they were too old alredy and wanted to see him have his own family before Mr death came knocking when he came home.
" Fred when are you going to bring your fiancee home and introduce to us?" asked Pa Joe as he entered the sitting room and said his greetings .
"Yes tell us,you have always been telling us soon all the time and we are tired of hearing that" it was Ma Kendra - Fred's grandmother this time. She had stepped out almost immediately when her husband spoke.
Fred turned to the direction of the second voice and smiled . "Good evening grandma" Fred greeted his grandmother who just came out of the kitchen to join Pa Joe in the sitting room.
"Very soon" he replied them and went to sit on the chair next to his grandfather. This had somehow become an everyday question. It was obvious they were running out of patience.
"Here we go again....When will this soon get close" Pa joe uttered with a frown.
With a smile playing on his handsome face, he looked at the face of the old man who was looking at him with dissatisfaction and told him to relax because he will not disappoint them. They would definitely see his wife and get to carry their great grand kids. At least he hoped it would happen that way, he also wanted to have his own family and grant his grandparents their wish of seeing his own family.
"You guys please relax, like i have always told you each time you bring this up, it will happen sooner than you think." He had hoped this will keep them calm for the main time.
"Let me go freshen up, i will come down for dinner then tell you everything about the meeting we held today at the office ", he said as he stood up, he just had to find a reason to slip away as he did not wish to continue with the marriage discussions.
Fred's father Albert was an only child to Mr Jordan (Pa joe) and Mrs Kendra Davids Iroha, he and his wife Priscilla had died in a motor crash on their way to a business engagement. His grandparents raised him up after the death of his parents at age 7, they were old already and so it was natural that they want him to get married fast in their life time to ensure that their family's lineage does not close and their family's wealth does not go to any one else.
"He is not acting as if he has someone anywhere so we have to come up with a plan to make him marry" said Pa Joe.
"You are right, he has never mentioned to any of us about a lady in his life. We have never seen or even heard he was seen with any girl, I don't want to die without carrying his children so let us do what ever we have to do fast" Ma Kendra said with sadness.
The silence of the room was interrupted by a voice. It was Mayami, Fred's nanny.
"I think I have an idea of what we are going to do," she said.
All the while they were talking, she has been listening to their conversations from the kitchen entrance. Mayami is a lady in her early fifties, she has been a nanny to Fred since he was two years old, and has become part of their family. She is God fearing and kindhearted person and is loved by everyone in the family. She knows Fred too well to the extent that she seem to be able to read his mind or predict his action.
