Synopsis
A group of angels must travel to different worlds to gather the Sun Remnants that were lost during the war between the good and corrupt angels. Each Angel chosen were humans that lived life with no clear interest, ones with one-of-a-kind skills and maybe the 'creators' incarnation and the Angel's that helped during the war that died. P.S: I don't own the picture. If you made this and are not comfortable with me using the image, please inform me and I will take it down.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Congratulations, young Angels. You have been chosen for an exceptional task." A voice seemingly from the void spoke. I woke up with a start. The voice sounded human, but it held coldness and indifference. The voice was the most chilling yet gentlest thing I had heard.

Standing up, I noticed humanoid-like bodies with no features or genitalia. They were alive since they were moving. I looked down at myself, I looked just like them. Completely white all over, with no defining features and wings on my back. Looking up at the other 'angels', they too had wings but masks were on their 'faces'.

I unconsciously touched my face, but a cold, hard surface was all I felt. "You all have one task. Find the seven lost sun remnants and deliver them to our 'creator', the Sun. Whoever finishes this task shall be granted the chance to ascend," the chilling yet gentle voice continued.

Whispers filled the area. Now that I was taking a good look around, the only thing surrounding us were floating islands. And in front of me was a glowing orb. But to get it, it seemed I would have to jump to get it. The sky was endless. There were no clouds; the only thing was the sun, but it was so far away.

Apart from the glowing orb in front of me, fire symbols were floating in front of my view in different areas. Not counting the orb in front of me, there were six fire symbols. My guess is, we would have to go in those directions to get the remnants.

"Good luck, young Angels. We are counting on you all." The voice said.

I frowned, or I think I did, as I looked towards the podium. Seems everyone else was preoccupied with the realization that they died. I looked towards the podium for a while before walking up the stairs.

As soon as my feet stood at the last step, a glow covered me as I felt strength and something flow in me, as well as the unfriendly stares. Without thinking, I felt my body jump.

The ground became smaller, and the other island appeared closer. I quickly moved my legs and landed a few feet from where I stood. Seems this is how we are supposed to move between the islands, but what happens if we fall into the seemingly endless abyss under the islands?

Shaking my head from those thoughts, I waited next to the very edge of the island. I decided it was best to sit back and watch the others before moving.

The other angels also got the same... how do I put this? Upgrades as I had. As they took their time to jump around, I did a quick head count. From the looks of it, there were about twenty, including me. And out of the twenty, four stayed behind to watch as I did. Though we all looked alike, we had different heights and colored masks.

Their mask only changed after touching the altar. And only the four who had touched the altar after me, masks changed to recognizable colors. Red, blue, purple and green. The other angels' masks were only a light cream. I wonder what my color was. Most importantly they did not stick together as I thought they would. The red-masked one was quite tall and had a bit of a muscular build.

The blue one seemed to be female due to their build. The classic soft woman builds, slightly on the lean but chubby side. An example would be Mari*n Mo*oe I guess the only way to tell men from female and vice versa apart, was from looking at the chest, then again not all women have... you know what?

The purple one was a bit tricky to tell. From the looks of it, the person was tall, but not as tall or well built, as Red. Purple was also not as soft looking, build-wise, as Blue and was more on the skinny side than the average. Umm, Purple must be a femboy. And last was Green.

Green was most definitely male. He was not as well built as Red but had a lean athletic build. As for myself, I could not tell what color my mask was. And I was on the tall side for a female.

Not more than five minutes later, the other four and I were the only ones on the island.
