The start of my Junior year had just begun when I first laid my eyes on her —the most popular girl in our grade, Lila Hush.

     It wasn't like the fairy-tale stories you may hear about where I fell in love with her at first sight. It was quite the opposite.

     We hadn't talked much before; in fact, I think we talked once or twice before our project together.

     But that project changed everything.
