There were things in life that didn't make sense.
Take, for instance, the situation that's unfolding before me right now.
"Mr Eldrinn, for disrupting Saira Thy'var's prestigious academy grounds, doing inexplicable deeds such as physical assault on the faculty, creation of anti-magic weapons, and for worshipping the abhorrence the Grant of Magus have sworn to destroy
"You're hereby expelled from Saira Thy'var, and be sent to the Orders Court."
It's only been seven days.
"You have the right to remain silent, and hire a certified Magus Lawteller to rest your case."
Seven days since I've ended up in this world that I had only been familiar with as a game.
"The Law of Magus forbids any other communication with an expelled individual."
Seven days since I've come to a single conclusion.
"For the sake of the academy, and the Magus subjects, you are allowed to leave at the earliest before we use indirect force."
I'm screwed.
Swish.
A stack of papers were thrown at my face.
"Pathetic."
I stared at the woman before me.
She was dressed in an elegant violet dress that glittered at the edges. Over it, was a white cape with a 'phoenix' crest on its left.
An insignia that anyone in the Kingdom of Cofrenn would recognize.
It belonged to the Saira Thy'var's Magic Academy.
An academy under the leadership of Grandmaster Nephista Le Ferh, the strongest wizard of Cofrenn, and the Zenith Empire's 7th Battalion Commander.
Also, the woman standing before me with a disgruntled face.
As much as I wanted to say something, there were other things that were bothering me.
For one, I had transmigrated.
It's been seven days since then, and though I wanted to believe this was a fever dream, this incident has erased any remaining confusion that I had.
I have become a character in the game [Hero's Ascension Chronicles].
An RPG-fantasy game that was targeted at a male demographic who were still stuck in their 8th Grade Syndrome phase.
I was 27 when I played it—out of boredom.
But.
A literal transmigration to the game for my dedicated gameplay over the course of a year was a nightmare come true.
For two, the system window that was floating before me.
< Sub Quest 1: Expulsion from Saira Thy'var >
< Sub Quest 1 Status: Complete (100%) >
< Sub Quest 1 Rewards: None >
This situation was the opening scene for the route "Eldrinn Voh Armeliayth."
An infamous professor character who was titled "Crazy Bastard."
True to that title, he absolutely lived up to it.
My eyes darted back to Grandmaster Nephista.
She tilted her head with a heavy sigh.
"What are you waiting for? Sign those papers."
I stared down at the papers she threw earlier and read through its titles.
'Suspension for Unlawful Standards and Misuse of Magus Decree.'
'Compensation for Assaulted Faculty.'
'Closure of Anti-Magic Experiments and Pensive Statements.'
The list went on, each title more damning than the last.
Haa…
Eldrinn, you bastard.
Out of every character that I could've ended up as, why him?
Nephista was a justice-driven character who was highly on the lawful spectrum.
Given her temperament and deeds, I should've been dead by now, but fortunately, there are restrictions in Cofrenn that don't allow a mage to kill another one of their kin over issues that could be solved over the "Magus Council."
Nephista tapped her fingers on the table, bringing me back to focus.
"Fast. I don't have all day, Mr. Eldrinn."
Her purple eyes were cold and indifferent.
"Hoo…"
I sighed, before I bent down. Gathering the papers, I snapped my fingers.
Hisss—!
They burst into flame, leaving behind a fiery-red phoenix symbol etched on my wrist, signifying my official termination of permit to enter Saira Thy'var's grounds.
I glanced at Nephista. The dimly lit room made her appear even paler than usual. Her blonde hair swayed slightly as she crossed her arms.
The game had mentioned she was over three-hundred years old, but she looked no older than a beautiful woman in her mid-twenties.
But, for a beautiful woman, she sure had some ugly expressions.
The look on her face read disgust.
Even though Eldrinn is at fault, and he most definitely deserves the scorns thrown at him, I'd assume she knew more than just to believe all the allegations that had been made.
'Especially the anti-magic weapons…'
Out of every evil thing that bastard Eldrinn had done, this was not one of them.
I could've argued the point and had one less thing added to my notorious name.
But.
There was no reason for me to stay in this academy any longer.
Everything that has happened up till now was aligned with the game.
Even a slight action from my side would cause disruptions, commonly called the "Butterfly Effect" and I wasn't here to make it worse for me.
"That's a job done," Nephista said, her eyes lighting up. "Now, get out of my office."
I nodded, before walking away.
Once I was outside, I took a final look at Saira Thy'var.
The prestigious Magic Academy in Cofrenn.
This was my last day here, and I didn't miss a single thing about this damned place that will soon be destroyed once 'that' incident starts.
"Take care."
I muttered, bidding my final goodbye as I mounted the waiting carriage.
