Chapter 64 - Chapter64. Want to Tire Me to Death?

On the afternoon of October 4th.

Class 4 of No. 17 Middle School.

"Landon, our school is going to hold a sports meeting with the Sixth Senior High School in a couple of days."

"Landon?"

Seeing that Landon didn't respond, Blake slapped his shoulder.

Landon looked up at him and asked, "What's up?"

"I called you twice, and you didn't hear. Why have you been so distracted lately? Is it puberty?"

Blake was teasing, but he noticed Landon's ears turning a bit red.

"Really got a crush? Iron tree blossoms, which class is she from? Is it the class beauty from Class 12 who chased you before? Or is it the very pretty girl upstairs..."

Landon shook his head: "I don't know."

He only met her twice, only remembering her in a blue and white school uniform, and he also remembered her particularly beautiful, clear eyes.

Blake asked, "So you're looking for a needle in a haystack, where did you meet her?"

"In the bookstore, she was wearing a blue and white school uniform, carrying a school bag, very clean and pure, like pure white jasmine."

"Blue and white school uniform?" Blake asked, then said, "Both No. 6 Middle School and No. 1 Middle School have blue and white school uniforms, but it's still hard to find just like that."

Landon glanced out the window and said, "I met her in the bookstore twice, at the same time period. The third time, I didn't wait for her to come at that time period."

"Maybe she didn't go to that bookstore afterwards." Blake said with some regret.

His buddy's first love just started and ended in the cradle.

"What were you going to tell me at first?" Landon asked.

"Our school is going to hold a sports meeting with No. 6 Middle School, didn't you know?"

Landon shook his head.

"Okay, okay, apart from studying, there's nothing else in your mind."

Landon's mind again emerged the appearance of the first time he met her.

He used to think the term "love at first sight" was fake.

Later, he found out that there really are people who can crash into the heart at a glance.

...

A few days before the sports meeting.

Mr. Johnson was talking about the upcoming sports meeting.

"The sports meeting needs to choose someone to hold the sign. Shall we vote, or shall I draw lots randomly?"

There was a cry from the bottom, "Vote."

Mr. Johnson smiled and said, "Do any of the students have any suitable candidates in mind?"

"We must choose the face of the class."

"Ellie." Aria was more excited than the boys.

Daniel shouted loudly, "It must be Ellie, right? She's the face of our class, okay?"

William looked at Ellie's ears gradually turning red and kicked Daniel's chair.

However, Daniel didn't receive his message. He turned around and asked William, "William, you think so too, right?"

Before William could say "No,"

Daniel shouted even louder.

Louder than before.

Then the people in the class followed the commotion and shouted Ellie.

William: "..."

Mr. Johnson made a quiet gesture, then asked Ellie, "Ellie, what do you think? It's okay if you don't want to go, someone else can take your place."

"Okay." Ellie finished, and added, "Go."

Mr. Johnson said, "Alright, the matter of holding the sign is settled. The specific matters will be arranged by the cultural and sports committee member. Each class needs to contribute two performances. Are there any volunteers?"

As soon as it came to contributing performances, a girl raised her hand.

Mr. Johnson nodded at them and asked, "What will you perform?"

"Ukulele singing and playing."

"Good, good, good." Mr. Johnson said with a smile, then asked, "Anyone else? The school will select later."

A few more people raised their hands.

Mr. Johnson asked, "What will you perform?"

Those people looked at each other and said, "Sketch."

After Mr. Johnson left, William asked Ellie, "Do you really want to go? You don't have to force yourself to do things you don't like."

Ellie said, "It's okay."

When she was in good health before, she often represented the class in performances and even participated in city competitions, but then almost never did.

William said, "It's okay means you don't want to."

Ellie was amused by him and said, "That's not true."

Her smile curved her eyes like a new moon.

...

Just after the evening self-study class ended, the class's cultural and sports committee member Reed ran around the class with a registration form asking if anyone wanted to sign up for sports events.

The cultural and sports committee member was a girl with a round face and round eyes, very cute, named Reed.

She asked around and couldn't find anyone for the 3,000-meter run.

She looked at the empty seat next to Ellie and remembered that people in the class said William was fast, but William never participated in sports meetings, and he hardly ever talked to others. He looked fierce, and she was a bit afraid of William.

She saw that Ellie was the one who talked to William the most in the class.

Reed said to Ellie, "Ellie, do me a favor."

Ellie looked up from her book and asked, "What's up?"

"Um..." Reed thought for a moment and hesitated to say, "Can you help me ask your deskmate if he will participate in the sports event?"

Ellie said, "Okay."

Reed rubbed her hands and said, "Also, I want to ask you if you want to participate in sports logistics?" She was afraid Ellie would refuse, then said, "Just deliver water and cheer, if you don't want to..."

"Okay."

Reed didn't expect her to agree so readily, put the registration form in her hand on Ellie's desk, and said, "Remember to help me ask your deskmate. If he can promise to run 3,000 meters, it would be even better."

"Okay, I know."

Reed looked back at Ellie with gratitude. The new classmate was really beautiful, kind-hearted, and easy to talk to. She really wanted to kiss her to death.

Ellie saw her looking back and smiled at her.

Reed: First of all, I'm not a lesbian, but the new classmate's smile is really beautiful. Damn it, I really want to kiss her to death.

William came back from outside and saw the paper on his desk. He picked it up and took a look.

Ellie said, "This is the sports meeting registration form."

William glanced at her and said, "Hmm?"

Ellie explained in a low voice, "It's the cultural and sports committee member who asked me to give it to you."

William looked at that form for a while, suddenly remembering that Little Prude couldn't participate in the sports meeting. He said, "Help me choose one."

Ellie looked at that list and then remembered Reed's words. She pointed to the 3,000 meters.

"Want to tire me to death? Little ungrateful one."

Ellie was about to say to choose something else when she saw him reach for the pen on her desk and tick the 3,000 meters on that paper.

"Three thousand meters is a bit too much."

William stared at her for a while, that expression seemed to say, you know too, right?

Ellie hadn't spoken yet when she heard him say, "I can run."

"Okay, then I'll bring you water."

"Alright, little prude." The little ungrateful one still has some conscience. William's eyes were tinged with some laughter.
