Modern scientists believe that this is a kind of bone crystal, but there is no way to determine what the material structure is. They try their best to deviate from metaphysics, but they can't provide sufficient evidence-because relics cannot appear in the body of normal people after cremation. Only some monks will have such gem-like crystals when they are cremated.
I have discussed this issue with Qingyi before. Qingyi sneered at the mentality of scientists who want to use knowledge of physics, chemistry, psychology, etc. to explain everything. Although he is a Taoist, after studying Buddhist relics, he believes that this thing should be cultivated by Buddhist monks through the practice of precepts, concentration, and wisdom, plus their own great wishes, and precipitated in every corner of the body, which can make the whole person radiate this kind of wisdom. After some Buddhist monks passed away and were cremated, these divine substances deposited in their bodies were burned out, which condensed into what we now call Buddhist relics!
"Can you tell which monk's relic it is?"

Sakyamuni's relic is not a particularly rare thing. There are many places in the world. When I went to Beijing with my father before, I saw a finger bone relic at the Famen Temple Museum.
As for why his Buddha bone relic appeared in our country, it has to start from a Buddhist propaganda activity a long time ago.
As we all know, Sakyamuni is the Buddha of Buddhism. He lived in the same era as Confucius, probably around 500 years BC. In his early years, he was also a son of a prince. Later, he suddenly realized some truths of life under a bodhi tree, and then he founded Buddhism. Therefore, he was honored as the Buddha. His realm of thought almost represents the highest realm of thought of Buddhist disciples. Maybe it was because he was too profound, so when he was cremated after his death, a total of a skull bone, two shoulder blades, four teeth, a middle finger bone relic and 84,000 bead-shaped real body relics were cremated! !
In other words... this person's entire body turned into relics, and all of these relics were preserved in the largest Buddhist country, India.
Later, in 300 BC, a great and capable emperor was born in ancient India, and this emperor was Ashoka. In his early years, Ashoka was cruel and bloodthirsty, loved war, and unified the whole of India. In his later years, he regretted that he had killed too many people, so he became a Buddhist and made great efforts to promote Buddhism. At that time, in order to let people all over the world admire the Buddha's demeanor, he separated all the relics left by Sakyamuni, and then sent people to various parts of the world to promote Buddhism. At that time, many came to China, so now we can see the relics left by Sakyamuni in many places in our country.
In fact, there is no actual record of how many of Sakyamuni's relics were sent out at that time, and where each relic went, even in the official history of India. It is only said that a thousand monks left India with these relics, but very few were actually sent to various countries, with the largest number in China, but definitely no more than 30, which is far from the number of relics condensed when Sakyamuni passed away. At least 95% of the Buddha's relics were lost. The reason for the loss is hard to say. It may be that they were withheld by someone, or it may be that the monks had an accident on the way, so the relics they carried with them were covered in dust. These cannot be determined or traced, and the time span is too long.
Therefore, I think that the small pagoda may contain the real body relics of Sakyamuni. It is very likely that it is part of the lost relics, which were also passed down at that time. After all, the Western Regions were relatively prosperous at that time, and there were many countries with decent national strength, which must have been in the scope of promoting Buddhism. However, although the Buddha bone relics were sent, they became burial objects in other people's tombs. It must be said that this is also the sadness of the Buddha.
"Who cares if it is or not, open it and take a look first!"

This small tower is made of wood. Judging from the strange texture, it should be yellow pear wood. However, it has been placed in the ancient tomb for so many years, and it has been weathered very badly. If you use too much force, it is easy to directly destroy the whole small tower. This thing is at least a cultural relic, and it is a sin to damage it.
People in our industry have such a problem. Any objects of a certain age are regarded as treasures, regardless of whether they are their own or not. They are handled with care. If it is copper or iron, in order not to destroy the beautiful rust color, you must try your best to prevent your sweat from getting on it, and you have to wear gloves when looking at it. But now I have nowhere to find white gloves, so I can only use my bare hands. With a "click", I gently twisted the chain under the small tower, and then carefully opened the small tower door.
This tower door is only more than 30 cm high and 60 cm wide. The workmanship is very delicate. Our current joint shaft technology has been used. When I opened it, I saw a red sandalwood box stuffed inside.
This box was also very weathered. The picture of Sakyamuni's enlightenment under the Bodhi tree engraved on the outside was already very blurred. Some details were no longer visible. A fingernail could easily knock off a large piece of rotten wood. However, in order to show respect to the Buddha, I did not dare to smash the box engraved with the picture of Buddha's enlightenment. After unscrewing the corroded and brittle copper lock with my hands, I opened it and saw that there was actually a layer of bronze box inside!
Inside the bronze box was an iron box...
Inside the iron box was a silver box...
It was like a coffin, with layers upon layers, a total of eight layers. Finally, I finally took out a palm-sized crystal coffin from it. Inside was a necklace, all of which were five-colored real body relics. I was dumbfounded when I saw it. I counted them and found that there were actually 64 real body relics of the Buddha, which were processed into a necklace.
My breathing became rapid for a moment. Although the Buddha's relics of Sakyamuni are not rare in the world, the necklace made of 64 real relics is absolutely unique. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is priceless!
Not only was I shocked, but several people around me were the same, especially Zhang Jinya, whose eyes began to glow red, and he almost rushed over to grab it! ! !
"Xiaotian, put it away immediately!!"

Then... it is really a priceless treasure for me!
But I am still a little hesitant. We discovered this thing together. It's not good for me to keep it all by myself, right?
