The morning sun gently awakens the sleeping Eevee.
With elegant steps, the little one jumps onto the bed and affectionately licks Gary's cheek.
"Mm~ Good morning, Eevee~" Gary rubs Eevee's soft fur and opens his eyes sleepily.
Yesterday afternoon, Gary returned to his hometown, Pallet Town.
He left all his Pokémon in the yard to entertain themselves, bringing only Eevee and Togepi, along with the caretaker Gengar.
Wearing a pink apron, Gengar enters while holding Togepi and pushes the door open.
"Gengar~′▽`ノ? The baby has been fed!"
"Okay~ Everyone wait a moment; I'll make breakfast." After a quick wash-up, Gary puts on a white shirt and jeans before heading downstairs.
"Oh, my dear grandson, you're awake." Professor Oak happens to come back from the backyard.
Having to feed the Pokémon in the yard each morning, Professor Oak has grown accustomed to waking up early.
"Thank you for your hard work, Grandpa. I'm going to make breakfast now," Gary replies with a smile.
"No rush; I'll check Togepi's health first." The old man carefully picks up Togepi and starts to play with it with a smile.
"Chak chak!" The little one giggles happily as its tiny feet wiggle.
"Sigh, old folks just love babies," Gary shakes his head helplessly and turns toward the kitchen.
After brewing a pot of coffee and preparing toast with cheese made from Moo Moo Milk along with ham salad sprinkled with rose salt, breakfast is ready.
Eevee paws at the orange berries and sandshrew berries on the stove, looking expectantly at Gary.
"Alright then~ Let's make some energy cubes," Gary affectionately pats Eevee's head and turns back to continue his work.
Having completed the system task for heading to the Indigo Plateau, he received a full recipe for energy cubes as a reward.
This is just right for Gary to try his hand at it.
Chopped orange berries mixed with a bit of sandshrew berry jam and a touch of sweetness.
"Blender, start up!" He presses the blender button as inspiration flashes in his eyes. "Here comes the goods!"
With a whoosh, a row of orange crystalline cubes slides out of the outlet.
"Sluurp~" Both Gengar and Eevee instantly feel their mouths watering uncontrollably.
Gengar?????!
"Alright, everyone eat up." After feeding the Pokémon their energy cubes and turning the remaining berries into more cubes stored in glass jars, Gary bites into a slice of bread and comfortably settles into the sofa.
Rarely relaxing at home, Gary decides to give both himself and his Pokémon a day off today.
"My dear grandson, you're so relaxed before heading to the Indigo League," Professor Oak asks with a smile while eating breakfast.
"I've done what I needed to do~" Gary replies with a grin. "Sharpening the axe doesn't delay chopping wood."
"That's true; balancing work and rest is important. No wonder you're my grandson; you have such good organization," Professor Oak nods in satisfaction.
"By the way, are you planning to check on your Dratini today? That little one is growing fast," Professor Oak reminds him.
"Sure thing! I'm planning to let all my Pokémon play in the yard this afternoon; it's perfect for them to get acquainted," Gary nods.
"That Tyranitar is quite stubborn; it got beaten up by your Dragonite and is sulking in the backyard. Remember to check on it," Professor Oak shakes his head with a smile.
"I know; I'll leave it for now," Gary pouts slightly.
The Tyranitar that Gary brought back from Viridian City not only has a high level but also has an extremely combative nature.
The first thing it did upon returning home was mark its territory everywhere, only to be beaten by Grandpa's Dragonite...
At first, this young guy was quite defiant until Dragonite landed a Dragon Claw that cracked its armor open. That's when it quieted down.
Now it's sulking on the rocky mountain side. A young one just at level sixty wants to challenge an experienced level one hundred Pokémon—what are you looking for but trouble...
Gary isn't worried at all; such a fierce warrior needs some tough love to be tamed; otherwise, it'll keep causing trouble later on...
After breakfast, Professor Oak went back to his research while Gary took Eevee, Gengar, and Togepi to the backyard.
"U??U~ Wang Woo!"
"Hasai!"
As soon as they stepped out back, two fiery red figures rushed over. It was Arcanine wagging its tail excitedly and Scizor, whom he hadn't seen in a long time.
With Togepi safely hatched, Scizor could theoretically return to duty now.
Unfortunately, recent training had focused mainly on Ground-types with Arcanine and Venusaur as support.
Thus this proud warrior had been elegantly forgotten by Gary…
"Hasai!" Scizor knelt down. "My lord! I missed you!"
"Don't come here; haven't you been eating well? Your armor looks shiny," Gary raised an eyebrow.
"Ha... Hasai…" Scizor turned its head awkwardly away.
The next second, Gary opened the glass jar handed over by Gengar, releasing an intense aroma into the air.
Swish! Scizor's eyes lit up as it drooled slightly…
"You want some?" Gary chuckled.
Scizor immediately nodded vigorously while Arcanine looked on curiously. Is this mantis's head even more flexible than my tail?
"You can eat if you help me fight later; win and you get food," Gary said with a smile.
"Hasai!" An overwhelming killing intent erupted from Scizor—my lord! Just say it! Should I take down that legendary beast?!
"Ahem, not so exaggerated; just follow me for now." Calming Scizor down, Gary rubbed Arcanine's head affectionately.
To be honest, this slightly rough yet warm soft linen feel is something Gary truly loves.
Arcanine enjoyed being rubbed so much that its spirit seemed ready to fly away.
Eevee disdainfully rolled its eyes at Arcanine before cautiously stepping forward to test it out—hmm… indeed very comfortable~
"Alright! Go notify everyone; we're gathering in the backyard tonight. I'm showing everyone a movie." After patting Arcanine's head, Gary decided firmly.
Recently, there's been a new movie released called "Pikachu's Summer Courtyard."
Gary plans to take everyone along to watch it while preparing some barbecue too…
Receiving this task, Arcanine happily trotted off wagging its tail.
Gary took Scizor and headed towards the rocky mountain area.
This is where Ground-type and Rock-type Pokémon reside.
In the largest cave, a massive dark green armored creature was munching on iron ore.
This used to be Onix's territory until Tyranitar wrecked everything here—now it's Tyranitar's domain.
"Hey old Tyranitar! Are you eating? Come out!" Gary called out loudly from outside the cave.
Boom boom boom—heavy footsteps echoed as dust swirled around; Tyranitar emerged with fierce eyes glaring at him.
"Buoy!" Eevee immediately became displeased—what's that big idiot staring at?!
"It's okay~" Soothing Eevee down, Gary took two steps forward and locked eyes with Tyranitar's savage gaze.
"Growl!" Tyranitar roared angrily.
Gary furrowed his brows sharply. "What are you roaring about?!"
"Uh…" Realizing he couldn't intimidate Gary, Tyranitar's momentum dropped immediately.
Taking big strides forward, Gary kicked Tyranitar's thigh hard.
Its metal-like tough skin produced a loud clang as Tyranitar awkwardly stepped back one pace.
Gary stared directly into Tyranitar's eyes without flinching: "What's wrong? Does being my subordinate make you feel wronged? You keep looking for fights every day! Even if you win against someone else—why are you sulking here after losing? Speak up!"
"Uh…(Boss! How could I dare~)" Tyranitar weakly replied while stretching out its large hand wanting to pat Gary lightly—the intimidation completely overwhelmed by him.
"Don't say I didn't give you an opportunity; if you like fighting so much and want to be the boss," pointing at Scizor he said "defeat Scizor! If you win, I won't interfere with whatever you want afterward! If you lose… just focus on training!"
Otherwise—you won't even qualify as my subordinate!"
"Growl!" Tyranitar's eyes lit up—there really is such good fortune?
Suddenly feeling a shiver run through its body as it turned around seeing Scizor gazing at it hungrily…
"Hasai!" Scizor rubbed its claws together—this kid must be worth an entire jar of energy cubes!
As always—just for my lord's delicious food—show bloodlines or even gods will fall before me!
Tyranitar ΣΣ,,??,,!Oh no… this doesn't feel good...
