Chapter 54 - First Kiss

"I'm so sorry, Levi... I shouldn't have killed you. It was my fault—you died because of me. I was weak, blinded, and now I'm nothing but a sinner. I broke the promise we made, the vow I swore to keep. I failed you. I'm sorry... I'm so sorry." Tears streamed down her face, flowing uncontrollably as her voice trembled with every word. Her body shook with quiet sobs, shoulders heaving under the weight of guilt and pain. Levi, his figure fading into a misty blur, lingered for a few moments longer, his expression soft yet melancholic, as though offering silent forgiveness before vanishing completely.

"Mira, you didn't do anything wrong. It's okay," Levi whispered, his fading form shimmering like a ghostly silhouette. His voice, though calm, carried a soft tremor of emotion. "If you still love me, please... don't cry. Seeing your pain—it makes my heart ache more than anything else." His gaze lingered on her tear-streaked face, the warmth in his eyes unwavering despite his fading presence.

Hearing Li Tian's voice, Yue Shiyin blinked through her tears, her vision clearing as she saw him standing before her. His face, illuminated by the soft light, wore a gentle, reassuring smile, his dark eyes filled with warmth and understanding.

The subtle curve of his lips seemed to silently offer comfort, while his presence radiated a calm strength, grounding her in the moment despite the storm of emotions raging within.

"It's been a long time since I've seen you cry like that, Mira," Li Tian said softly, his voice laced with both tenderness and sorrow. His smile, gentle yet tinged with sadness, lingered as he watched her, the dim light reflecting off his calm, composed features. Despite the warmth in his expression, a trace of pain remained in his eyes, as if sharing the weight of her anguish.

Yue Shiyin's lips parted, but no words came. Her throat felt tight, her heart pounding heavily in her chest as conflicting emotions battled within her. She wanted to deny his words, to push away the ache twisting inside, yet the sincerity in his gaze made her heart waver.

Suddenly, unable to contain herself any longer, she rushed forward, the overwhelming tide of emotions breaking free. Her arms wrapped around Li Tian, clutching him tightly as sobs wracked her frame. His warmth, his presence—it grounded her in ways words never could.

For a moment, neither spoke. His arms circled around her gently, holding her as though she were fragile, his heartbeat steady against hers. The world seemed to still, leaving only the quiet rhythm of their breathing.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry," Shiyin whispered against his chest, her voice broken as she clung to him. "I should have remembered you sooner... I should have never hurt you..."

Li Tian shook his head, his voice a gentle murmur. "You don't need to apologize, Shiyin. None of this was your fault. You were controlled, manipulated—it's not something you could have stopped."

Her grip tightened, trembling with the weight of her grief. "But I did... I was the one who... I—"

He hushed her softly, brushing his hand through her hair as he pressed his forehead gently to hers. "No more. You don't have to carry this pain alone. I'm here now, and I forgive you. Please, forgive yourself."

Tears welled in her eyes again, yet a fragile warmth began to seep through her sorrow. Her voice wavered, soft yet desperate. "I missed you... I missed you so much, Levi."

"It's okay... everything is fine now," he whispered, his voice trembling with the weight of emotions left unsaid. "From now on, we'll stay together. No more pain, no more regrets. We'll travel the world, side by side—just like we always dreamed. And... when the time feels right, we'll marry each other, live the life we deserved... no more separations, no more sorrow." As he spoke, his hand gently cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing away the lingering tears as if trying to erase every trace of sadness from her heart.

Shiyin leaned into his touch, her breath hitching as her gaze met his, the depths of her sorrow slowly giving way to something softer—yearning, vulnerability, love. Without words, they were drawn together, the space between them vanishing as their lips met.

It was a slow, tender kiss at first, as though both feared breaking the fragile moment they had reclaimed. Li Tian's lips pressed softly against hers, warm and comforting, the kiss deepening as her hands clutched the fabric of his robe, holding him close. His hand cradled the back of her head, fingers tangling gently in her hair as the kiss grew more intense, a silent promise exchanged between them.

Even I didn't get a girlfriend until now nor even my first kiss was lost, this was the most difficult chapter for me to write so it is short, from now on no romance bro I am done with this sh*t. I envy my characters who are fictional and getting all good things but not the author who created them. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
