"Are you always this good at ignoring people?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
Liam blinked, still caught off guard. "Uh, I—" he stammered, unsure of how to explain his behaviour without sounding rude.
Selena smirked, clearly enjoying his discomfort. "You really thought I was calling out to someone else, didn't you?"
"To be fair," Liam said, finding his voice, "I didn't think the great Selena Carter would be stopping her car to talk to me. An extra."
Selena's smirk softened into something closer to a smile. "First of all, you're not just an extra. Second, I've been meaning to talk to you since earlier today, but you've been busy impressing everyone on set."
"Talk to me?" Liam repeated, still baffled. "Why?"
Selena leaned slightly out of the window, her tone casual but direct. "I saw your driving. It wasn't just good—it was impressive. You've got real talent, and I wanted to say so in person."
