Athena found herself in the woods outside the Moonlight pack but inside their territory, she herself did not realize how fast she was running as it took her 15 minutes to run from the clinic to the woods and prince George who was running after her despite being a powerful Alpha wasn't able to catch up with Athena which dumbfounded him he can only look at her as she further ran. Seeing that she was getting into the woods prince George couldn't calm down anymore because beyond the woods is the territory of the other pack and he knew no one would tolerate anyone breaking into their territory especially if they were considered enemies.
"Athena wait!!" Prince George shouted while chasing after his mate.
Athena who was feeling dizzy, hot didn't hear the shout nor was she aware of her surroundings anymore her state of mind was empty the only thing she felt was the heartache and headache and the fact that she was betrayed. Tears had long stopped pouring down she kept running and didn't even feel tired, she wasn't aware of how sweaty she was nor how her appearance was changing she only kept going faster tripping then standing up continuing running slowly bruises appeared on her knees and face as she would sometimes hit her face on the branches of the trees her running left traces of blood on the ground.
Prince George behind her had changed into his wolf form and appeared faster than before, he noticed the changes from Athena's appearance she was emitting a golden light becoming hairy than before he can swear he heard some cracking of bones even though they were faint but there was no time for carefully looking at Athena's changes because she was getting closer and closer to the enemy's territory he couldn't go beyond that so chased faster but out of nowhere Athena changed!!...she changed into a golden wolf with a hint of a white fur after that she disappeared from his sight.
"Howl!!!" A sound of a howl was heard which stuttered every nearby pack, the howl was powerful and spoke dominance as if it was announcing to the world that it was here.
Prince George stopped running looking at the line which indicated that his territory stopped here and beyond is no longer his territory he sigh deeply as he transformed back to his human form which was confused he sat down dazed his eyes contained a complicated feeling his body was as if it had no soul.
"This is all your fault!!" His wolf shouted in his mind sounding very angry.
"I know I'm sorry" he replied sadly looking down guilty.
"What the use of sorry, had you controlled your lower half would we be here now"
"What!!"
"You heard me, how many times did I tell you wait for mate but did you listen "
"Don't you dare!"
"What are you going to do huh"
"Remember that night clearly, it was your hormones that controlled me and led me into sleeping with her"
"Blaming me, it was clearly you who was ambiguous with that girl say...if you were not close to her were the hormones going to control you"
Omegas had what is called phenomenons which indicated that they were in the heat and Alphas have hormones something that attracts them to Omegas when they are in heat even though they are not mates which is why it is advisable not to get close to unmarked Omegas if you had not marked your mate.
George and Eric who is George's wolf continued blaming each other for the disappearance of Athena and the sexual intercourse with the now pregnant Omega but afterall they were one they soon stopped the blaming game glancing at the line but not daring to cross it because they know that if they do they are good as dead they walked back to their pack with George's back looking a bit down and not as straight as before.
"Where is she" the Alpha King questioned George seeing him coming back alone.
"I need your help dad" George said slowly while looking down.
"What is it"
"Athena entered the enemy's territory" George said slowly feeling ashamed.
Everyone in the room was taken back then they were shocked then fear striked them as everyone knew that the Moonlight pack and the Lighting pack were sworn enemies if either of their pack members entered their pack they would not be spared but killed immediately, their lifelong hatred could not reconcile and their were no chances of reconciliation so Athena could not survive.
"I can't help you, you know how things are between us and the Lighting pack so just focus on yourself cub and consider yourself mate less" The Alpha King said ruthlessly with a cold voice shaking his head.
"How did you let her escape to the Lighting pack brother" Luke said mockingly showing a remorse expression.
"She was so fast that I couldn't catch up to her" saying that a person with no wolf was faster than him a powerful Alpha and the next Alpha King George felt he had no face left.
"Brother don't fool us, could it be that you thought she was a hindrance to your coming cub and you deliberately let her enter the enemy's territory?" Luke questioned him again and Everyone looked at George with doubting eyes.
"Nonsense, I don't know how but she was fast even falling down didn't hinder her running speed and she suddenly transformed into a golden wolf before disappearing from my sight" he explained everything he saw even he couldn't believe that he couldn't catch up with his mate.
"Wait could it be..." The Luna Queen said but didn't finish her sentence, before George came back they heard a howl not just a howl but a powerful howl and such howl belonged those with special powers which haven't been seen in thousands of years even they didn't know if the legend was real but the history books explains how the howl should be and the howl they heard was the same as the explanation on the history books.
