After Jack came over the others also came looking at Mia with doting eyes, there were about 20 people who came to celebrate Athena's birthday and Athena was more or less familiar with them especially granny Zandela who had watched Athena grow and took the space of her parents you can say that this granny had a special place in Athena's heart but as Athena grew up granny Zandela also got older now it was difficult for her to walk long distance or stand for too long. Athena walked to her smiling softly and greeted her, granny Zandela had lots of wrinkles on her face but that couldn't hide the fact that she was once a beauty in her prime she is now 120 years old and is an Omega.
"Granny you didn't have to come" Athena Said looking softly at granny Zandela who then smiled in return.
"Nonsense how can I not come, very soon I'll be unable to so it better to come now while I can" she said and Athena knew what she meant, she's going to die soon Athena couldn't help but to feel sad even though granny Zandela had said it herself that her dying would make her happy because she will meet her mate who had died even before Athena was born.
The Birthday party started when Athena had greeted everyone but barely two hours passed when something happened.
"Prince George is back!! Prince George is back" A guy said rushing over the lake his name is David a Beta Athena was familiar with him he is said to be the friend of prince George the son of the Alpha King of the Moonligh pack, Prince George is an Alpha and it is said that he is the next Alpha king of the Moonlight pack so every one admired and adored him.
"What Prince George is back"
"Alpha King will sure hold a celebration "
"No doubt with that oh moon Goddess I'll meet the prince I must..."
Similar conversation were happening through out the pack and Athena's birthday celebration ended earlier because like everyone had suspected the Alpha King did make a welcoming celebration for Prince George and it was today in the afternoon.
Athena was now back in her house and didn't look happy and she wasn't, her birthday celebration didn't even last 2 hours all because of the Prince, she clicked her tongue in annoyance 'thinking of this isn't it a bad start meaning my year this year is...no no don't think nonsense Athena' she talked to her self calming down she had to get ready for the welcoming ceremony.
'What so good about this Prince, how is he different from other princes like Seth or Duke or even Luke ouh I heard he went to training when he was 18 and now he is supposed to be 23 years old mhh I wonder why he has a potential of being the next Alpha King, I also heard that he is very gentle and warm to everyone which is one of the reasons why everyone likes him'
Athena continued to talk to herself passing time, Athena didn't know Prince George but she knows his 3 brothers who one of them is an as*h*le ,the other is sassy and the last one is cool well that according to Athena soon afternoon arrived it was time for the welcoming celebration.
Everyone in the pack was excitedly walking towards the biggest hall in the Moonlight pack when big celebrations were held, the population the Moonlight pack was not too big but average it had like 2000 pack members, Athena was within the crowd going to the hall and for some reasons that she didn't know she was very happy and was actually looking forward to getting to the hall something inside was telling her that there is something for her there.
"My kind" with those words everyone within the hall bow down to their Alpha king and in union said "My Alpha King".
"You may rise" The Alpha King said ,Athena looked up and her eyes went straight to the Alpha King it was not everyday that you get to meet the Alpha King, The Alpha King had a sharp face which had a long scar across the eye this added to his charm he was getting old but his body was Buffy trained through life and death situations nevertheless when he looked at his kind he had a benevolent look.
"I'm pleased to let everyone know that my son who is your prince is back from his training and he is well" He smiled when he mentioned the son that he was most proud about and his chest was puffed out he howled looking up without changing into his wolf the other pack members followed his lead and also howled welcoming their prince back.
"My son come greet your kind" He stepped aside revealing a young man who was tall and a little tanned nevertheless he was handsome he had a sharp face like his father ,his eyes contained a coldness that said he doesn't care about anything and even if the world crumbled down he wouldn't be moved. The pack members howled in happiness but Athena was confused she looked at her left arm a golden string was moving around her arm this meant her mate was nearby she looked around.
Prince George in the front frowned looking at his left arm which had a golden string moving around his arm ,his wolf inside was howling in happiness and without warning he transformed in a wolf which had a brown fur ,It was tall and looked very strong. The pack members were confused when they saw their Prince changing into his wolf ,they were awed by his wolf size and even more since the wolf was moving toward them.
Though confused everyone made a way for the impatient wolf who was sniffing around in the end the wolf stopped in front of Athena who inturn looked at it. The wolf howled in happeniss while sniffing Athena as if to make sure, when standing so close to each other the golden strings in their arms grew into a big golden light and surrounded both of them.
"Mate" Athena muttered.
